I’ve spent years using multipens and today I’m sharing my favourites! Particularly, those that work well with the Tomoe River paper in the Hobonichi.

I love this!!! I have tried only the Coletto, but the inserts only last me a week at most. So I am looking at the sarasas… THANK YOU FOR THIS
My husband LOVES his coletto for work. He has red, blue black, pencil, and eraser.

Ahh I’m so glad you liked it! Interesting about the Coleto only lasting a week. I’m back to using it so I’ll see how long the ink lasts. That would actually be a good follow up review!

I just recently bought severak Uni Jetstream 4&1 4 Color 0.5 mm Lite Touch Ink Ballpoint Multi Pens + 0.5 mm. Pencil. The pens are light and the new ink just flows! My new favorite!!

I came across the Lite Touch the other day and was intrigued. May have to give one a try 👀

Very comprehensive video indeed, I think I'll go for the uni jetstream multipen, especially since I'm hoping to get a hobonichi in my planner lineup soon! Thanks for the rundown tho, I was curious indeed. 💙👍💙

So glad you enjoyed the video! The Jetstream really is a great pen although I definitely think I’ll be using my Coletos a bit more now 😂

Great video! Another option if you want gel refills and a wide variety of colors, is the Uniball Uni Style Fit. The refills are the popular Signo gel. I got a couple of multipens with yellow, orange, purple, light green, and the usual subject - red, black, blue, and even blue black. I’m a teacher so the option to grade tests with different colors is very handy. (I don’t really use them on Sanzen TRP, for that I just use my fountain pens).

Ah! I just got to the end of your video where you mention the Uni Style. I’m using the 0.38 refills from Uniball and I really like them. Also, I’m currently living in Korea so getting hold of them is super easy for me. 🤭

Haha yes! I snuck it in at the end! It’s a shame it didn’t work out for me as it should have been a strong contender against the Coleto. Even my EF nib has been having some bleed through on my Cousin paper this year which is really sad.

I’m using a Sterling Ink B6 common planner, and so far I’ve only found 2 pages that have bleed through with my EF nib. All the rest are good! 🤞Those are the only ones affected. It seems there’s no way of knowing if a specific page is good or not until you go write. Even within the same signature the other pages are ok. 🤷🏻‍♀️ I’m on page 46 of the journaling pages so it could definitely be worse. But I love my CP so much that I’m finding ways to make it work. I even wrote on a separate piece of TRP (from my SI ring planner inserts) and stuck it to my book on the backside of the bleed through page. I really hope they figure out what went wrong with this years’ batch of Sanzen, because I really like the paper. Some inks even work better on Sanzen than the original paper (at least they did last year)!

Oh that's really good going that you've only had an issue with a couple of pages! I'm just gritting my teeth with mine and covering up if I can with a sticker or something on the back.
That's the thing that has confused me about the Sanzen paper, that my Pilot Coleto is working better than it used to. I guess there has to be some upsides to the new paper?
