I do spark 10-20 hours a week part time. I cherry pick like a MoFo, I do not accept an order that doesn't make financial sense. I currently am averaging $30+ each hour when you look at the hours I worked for the week. I have hit my goal of $400+ each week on a regular basis cherry picking. If you want I can send part of my spreadsheet I use to keep track of my deliveries. Spark has turned out to be much better in my market, I would've kept doing it full time, but I took a pay cut to $19 an hour at a W2 because I wanted benefits and paid sick/vacation time.
@@Lydia_grace_l I don't accept a curbside for less than $20, I don't accept a shop for less than $15. I only accept an order if it's miles make sense, I do not go more than 15 miles for a delivery unless it is $60+ I would rather sit their watching youtube than taking a crap order. If your busy with a crap order you can never get offered the good order that comes through at that time.
My best accepted offer was just a couple of days ago. It was a pickup with 2 drop offs. 8.1 miles 49 minutes. Pay was $8.12 but tips came to $54.81! And, yes, the tip came through after 24 hours.
I just became a Spark driver less than a week ago and it has been a trial by fire learning process, especially starting less then a week before Christmas. My 2nd day was my first shop and deliver order and wasn't paying too much attention to the details because it was for two orders and combined for over 60 items. That many items with Christmas shoppers all around (and first time doing it) AND keeping track of customer A and B meant the whole thing was close to 2 1/2 hours for 24 bucks. Also, the app started crashing half way through so probably missed a few items on at least one customers list.
💖I am thankful to say I have never been tip-baited on Walmart Spark. I have been tip-baited only once on Uber Eats. It would be nice if our Spark tips were released the same day. 💖

Save the phone for when they aren't understanding what your asking for..Also helpful is to familiarize your self with the store, note, almost all store's are set up the same as in a baking aisle, condiment aisle, etc. I hope this helps!
Same here in Sherman, Texas. They shifted over to only employees shopping for pickups only over the last couple of years. Not the drivers fault, but unless they shop the same store all the time they just do not know the systems or the product locations well. So that leads to a crap shoot as a customer of what we might have missing from the order.
I think most of the of the non shop and deliver orders are being off loaded to Uber Eats. They recently redid the zones too. Like last week of September. It’s ugly now. Huge zones here in Pittsburgh.
Just checked the zones, I do see some pretty wide reaching areas. Pittsburgh South doesn't seem too much different? West Mifflin/North Versailles/Bethel Park locations and surrounding areas
@@YourDriverMikethis zone was just 2 Walmarts and a Sam’s club off Camp Horne Road. I took 10 days off and enjoyed vacation and came back to a ton of offers…. From stores all 40+ minutes away. I wish Spark allowed you to mute stores or only sent offers near by or at a minimum sorted them in distance from your current location! I’ve made these suggestions and look forward to being ignored. Keep up the great work.
Hang on for a second. You can tip before you get the order? I always thought a tip was to say good job so you don't know what kind of job you are going to get 🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️🤷♂️. Anyway ty for this I find it really interesting 👍🇨🇦
I'm on the Spark wait list here in Utah, but I use Walmart+ all the time and have to choose a delivery window with two hour blocks, is it not like that everywhere? Seems like it would solve tip baiting
My issue is they do not compensate you for going to a Walmart or store and the store cancels when you get there. I drove 40 minutes to get to Walmart only for them to cancel when I get there and they told me they don't compensate you if you don't hit The arrive button but I'm like you guys have my location. You can see that I made it. I couldn't click a ride because when I got there it was canceled. I just drove 40 minutes for no reason. terrible business practice
Simple make it so they have to tip up front, they can only add to it for great service not reduce it, and Walmart eats the cost of mistakes and then holds the drivers accountable if they mess up too much. I think a balance between a strict and lenient accountability system for drivers is how Walmart protects itself from drivers who just dont care or refuse to do the job they are being paid to do. It reduces competition for offers by removing the abundance of bad drivers and it makes pay consistent. If you care at all about doing the job, you give any semblance of real effort, there are protections for freak accidents or uncontrollable occurrences then it should be all upside for drivers who do a good job. The system shouldnt flag you as bad, you have less competition for offers since the bad drivers are booted off the platform or restricted in some way, and the dollar amount you see of the offer is the minimum you can get making it easy to make informed choices
Spark is going in the direction of Door Dash...4 months ago, you could get orders that pay decent to great...now,the miles are the amount of the total pay..tips seem to have totally dropped...aka spark is taking that into account & lowering what they pay! They have flooded the market with drivers that use multiple phones & and do not forget the mass deactivation they did to drivers that followed the rules a few months ago!
Unreal that they can get away with calling it your "earnings" when a customer can quite literally snatch the tip back from you for no reason at all. People who remove their tips should be banned from delivery service. I no longer do apartment orders because they almost always remove the tip after you deliver.
@@devn3813 Yes, you're always given the option to accept or deny an order. It gives you a short description of the trip (pay, miles, delivery type, etc.) and you choose if you want to accept it or not.
How much do you tip a driver? Is it a percentage of the amount you paid or a flat tip? I’m getting ready to have surgery and I don’t think I’m going to be getting around so much for the next couple of months so I’m looking to start using this service. My house is pretty easy to get to since I live within a mile of Walmart and my front door is about 20 feet from my driveway where the driver would be parking. I’ve never used any delivery service outside of the post office or Amazon, so this is new to me. I just wanna make sure the driver gets paid fairly
Tipping is an outdated system that harms workers by making their income unpredictable and often discriminatory. It places the burden on customers to pay fair wages, which should be the employer's responsibility. Instead of relying on tips, workers deserve a stable, livable wage. It is time to ditch tipping and push for fair pay to improve the experience for everyone.
I'm only a week in but I'm finding the app is glitchy, Every order over $30 I get just for you gets canceled on me. I have the scammers around my Walmart too. Nothing we can do about it.
I don't see to many American's at the pickup doing spark anymore it's all those venezuelans, same with rideshare they drive 70-80k escalades and suburbans average American driver doesn't make enough to keep his car running.
I get a lot more shop and deliver than pickup, also aim to take 15 or up, so you can make at least 15 bucks an hour, I think it depends on the volume of orders people make, or they kinda toss them to drivers if they have to many curbside orders, idk how they do it.
I wish I can just stay at one location and do orders from that location. I don’t like when I’m at a location and complete a order it starts giving me orders from different stores which reqs more driving. I wish Rhee was a way around this issue.
I'm waitlisted.. but I'm in rural Minnesota with only ONE Walmart in like a 50 mile radius. I know they are offering deliver up to like 20 to 25 miles for this Walmart. They just recently opened up the delivery area for Walmart and Instacart in our area. It'll be curious how well drivers do in my area considering it's only one Walmart, and further driving distances, also curious how long I'll be waitlisted.
I live in SW Colorado in a small town with 1 Walmart. No Sam's club. The other Walmarts are 40 -50 miles away from me. Outside of "town" is very rural so I am used to driving long distances when called for. Rather do that than piddly small $ amounts for in town deliveries from apps like Door Dash and the like. Spark is a part-time gig for me that I use to pay the bills that I can't cover on social security. Some days are better than others on both the money side of things and the frustration levels. Over all it's been very good for me.
The issue I have had with the app with shop and go is when it appears the item the customers wants is out, and I report it, and it will either give me a substitution or just move on to the next item… then, I see the original item in another spot… ie, either in a display between the aisles, or another customer just happened to put it back down in the wrong place… I can’t get the app to allow me to get that original item for the customer, once it’s been reported as not being there. That could result I. Less if a tip, if the customer is paying a tip based on cost percentage, or if the customer just gets aggravated that a particular item that was important to them is not there! I am fairly new at working Spark… am I missing something, is there a way to go back and change an item on the app from being unavailable to available?
I've been Sparking for a few weeks now.. I don't think I've ever had a tip reduced, but is there somewhere in the app we can see the tip that was expected and then what was finalized and know if it was reduced?
Thats happen to me i got a 60 dollar shopping, two cart full of groceries upon delivering after 5m going back to walmart, i check it and wow the tip is gone he cancel it, its like i want to go back to that hause to put her order to the pathways..that was my bad experience of tip baiting..
Well you should never TIP before service and if you did get "zero'ed" out maybe there was a reason for it. Are you saying drivers won't take a Walmart order without a large tip before they do the work? Sounds like Walmart needs to hide that tip information from you until the work is done....
Criminal network that has hacked the app and it’s nationwide they take all the best orders and the highest tip orders. They can take the orders before they ever drop to the Spark app that all the legitimate drivers use.
(FYI, I will tip when warranted, not as a habit) Why would I ever tip someone who is already getting paid to do their job delivering my order? And why in the world is it a good idea to show the driver their tip for a job THEY HAVEN'T EVEN DONE YET? The last person I want at my door is a greedy, speedy, needy, person doing the simplest of tasks and somehow thinking that I should be the one to put my money into their pocket? Tips are out of freaking control. You want something for nothing? Do something extra and I might throw you a bone, otherwise stop begging. Don't knock on my door unless you need ID. Don't leave a cute little note like 'have a blessed day". Don't sit in my driveway looking for your next gig. Don't bring your whole family along with you. Be professional. Most of the people who have delivered to my house are just fine. Some are not. Remember you are probably on video.
I stopped because of customers not knowing about this four digit pin that is now part of regular stops. That is what the sign signature option is for. Geez. I tried spark weeks ago, and two of the three stops had customers who didn't know about the required pin numbers. Could it be because too many thefts? Even DD is requiring you take screen shots of the orders you pick up now.
This guy hates Spark. Hmm 🤔 All these gigs are good or not as good depending on your area. I’ve been Sparking for 2 years and rarely do the customers take back the tip. Why is he so focused on something that rarely happens. Spark you put way less miles on your car with Spark.

Walmart in Dinuba CA is literally 95% of shop & deliver orders it’s crazy 🔥🔥
Same here in Sherman, Texas. They shifted over to only employees shopping for pickups only over the last couple of years. Not the drivers fault, but unless they shop the same store all the time they just do not know the systems or the product locations well. So that leads to a crap shoot as a customer of what we might have missing from the order.
Do you get to pick what orders you accept or what type of orders?
I think most of the of the non shop and deliver orders are being off loaded to Uber Eats. They recently redid the zones too. Like last week of September. It’s ugly now. Huge zones here in Pittsburgh.
Sadly, UberEats doesn't pay as much as Spark to deliver those orders.
@@KittyPaws2unope. Lots of no tip upside down orders. BUT someone ends up taking them. That’s why the lower payouts continue to happen.
Just checked the zones, I do see some pretty wide reaching areas. Pittsburgh South doesn't seem too much different? West Mifflin/North Versailles/Bethel Park locations and surrounding areas
@@YourDriverMikefor the zone I’m in, it covers GIBSONIA to OAKDALE to BEAVER FALLS
I don't think it's regarding the delivery window it's just customers who knowingly zero out a tip for no reason. Uncommon but can happen
I just drove 40 minutes for no reason. terrible business practice
shouldent drive 40 minuts for a pickup.
Does spark driver app pay prop 22 mileage? (California)
Sorry if this is a dumb question but can you only accept certain orders you want to accept?
@@devn3813 Yes, you're always given the option to accept or deny an order. It gives you a short description of the trip (pay, miles, delivery type, etc.) and you choose if you want to accept it or not.
@ thank you!
I don't like shopping for orders anymore! Is it possible to filter that out on the app or any other kind of order you don't want?
How much do you tip a driver? Is it a percentage of the amount you paid or a flat tip? I’m getting ready to have surgery and I don’t think I’m going to be getting around so much for the next couple of months so I’m looking to start using this service. My house is pretty easy to get to since I live within a mile of Walmart and my front door is about 20 feet from my driveway where the driver would be parking. I’ve never used any delivery service outside of the post office or Amazon, so this is new to me. I just wanna make sure the driver gets paid fairly
depends on what the driver is doing. sense my orders are large and I'm far away my last tip was 26$
Tipping is an outdated system that harms workers by making their income unpredictable and often discriminatory. It places the burden on customers to pay fair wages, which should be the employer's responsibility. Instead of relying on tips, workers deserve a stable, livable wage. It is time to ditch tipping and push for fair pay to improve the experience for everyone.
I completely agree with you!
I prefer the shop and deliver offers at this point. I waited 2 hours for a load and go.
i like them on dd as well go in get there stuff go no waiting on a screwd up food order.
I'm only a week in but I'm finding the app is glitchy, Every order over $30 I get just for you gets canceled on me. I have the scammers around my Walmart too. Nothing we can do about it.
I live in Vegas and I was on the Walmart Spark waitlist for....2 years!😮💨😒🙄
I don't see to many American's at the pickup doing spark anymore it's all those venezuelans, same with rideshare they drive 70-80k escalades and suburbans average American driver doesn't make enough to keep his car running.
I get a lot more shop and deliver than pickup, also aim to take 15 or up, so you can make at least 15 bucks an hour, I think it depends on the volume of orders people make, or they kinda toss them to drivers if they have to many curbside orders, idk how they do it.
Is there an option in spark to not deliver alcohol at all?
I wish I can just stay at one location and do orders from that location. I don’t like when I’m at a location and complete a order it starts giving me orders from different stores which reqs more driving.
I wish Rhee was a way around this issue.
I'm waitlisted.. but I'm in rural Minnesota with only ONE Walmart in like a 50 mile radius. I know they are offering deliver up to like 20 to 25 miles for this Walmart. They just recently opened up the delivery area for Walmart and Instacart in our area. It'll be curious how well drivers do in my area considering it's only one Walmart, and further driving distances, also curious how long I'll be waitlisted.
im not going 20 miles anything unless its my last run back to my own city.
If you shop and deliver fast they send you more orders.
Yes there is. If you go to completed sometimes you can edit the item that wasn’t there and scan it if you find it in another part of the store.
@ I will try that next time. Thank you!
I've been Sparking for a few weeks now.. I don't think I've ever had a tip reduced, but is there somewhere in the app we can see the tip that was expected and then what was finalized and know if it was reduced?
I was tip bated last week by a kid
😂😂
I'm getting a lot more shop and delivery offers in the Oklahoma markets.
Thats happen to me i got a 60 dollar shopping, two cart full of groceries upon delivering after 5m going back to walmart, i check it and wow the tip is gone he cancel it, its like i want to go back to that hause to put her order to the pathways..that was my bad experience of tip baiting..
Spark puts the tip in, not the customer. The customer is unaware of the "tip" 4:13
I heard what they're gonna do is the app is going to activate led's on the name tags of the item. But maybe that was a rumor
Well you should never TIP before service and if you did get "zero'ed" out maybe there was a reason for it. Are you saying drivers won't take a Walmart order without a large tip before they do the work? Sounds like Walmart needs to hide that tip information from you until the work is done....
why dont they just stop allowing tip to be edited or changed at all after the initial order.
Criminal network that has hacked the app and it’s nationwide they take all the best orders and the highest tip orders. They can take the orders before they ever drop to the Spark app that all the legitimate drivers use.
I enjoy shop and delivery
Nice glad it's working well for you
I’ll watch it just because but spark just won’t let me in.
Why in the hell would this be an option. Stickin to Door Dash. BIG NOPE FOR ME
(FYI, I will tip when warranted, not as a habit) Why would I ever tip someone who is already getting paid to do their job delivering my order?
Dont trust Walmart spark pickup employees to be quick getting me the order quick and it be correct so I always just do shopping orders
Also make sure your WiFi is off
I stopped because of customers not knowing about this four digit pin that is now part of regular stops. That is what the sign signature option is for. Geez. I tried spark weeks ago, and two of the three stops had customers who didn't know about the required pin numbers. Could it be because too many thefts?
Even DD is requiring you take screen shots of the orders you pick up now.
El Paso TX terrible 7$ zero 0 tip 3 drop off 😅😂
Spark is nothing but Vinny’s , bot boys and trash !
Thank me later.
@@waynek4103 well said!
I’m gonna say “thanks for the tip so much! I’m just the detectives son in this town and I know where you live just sayin”😂
Shop and deliver has gone up because Walmart doesn't have enough workers to pick. Go to freaking work America!!! Geez!😊
And you really think Instacart actually protected their shopper?????🤣😂
This guy hates Spark. Hmm 🤔
All these gigs are good or not as good depending on your area. I’ve been Sparking for 2 years and rarely do the customers take back the tip. Why is he so focused on something that rarely happens. Spark you put way less miles on your car with Spark.
I share my personal experience here which serves as just one point of reference for viewers. I did also state tip baiting is rare but is certainly something potential Spark drivers should know about especially as it's been a persistent problem.
Exactly, I've literally never been tip baited and I've gotten a lot of 20 dollar tips. Just this weekend I got 20 and 28 dollar tips
$2 WALMART JOBS ....WTF
Spark customers are rude and obnoxious. No tips
The worst app ever.
Best tip I can give is learn a trade, get some job skills, Dang it stay in school.
how do you make a duplicate account? I need to get on that hustle so I can run two accounts💀
