Yea you are a whiner when it comes to delivery apps.... Can't believe you still recommend DD or UE over spark. Easy to make 1k-1.5k a week on spark with just spark. Doing that on DD or UE is unfathomable in most places. Just because you can go non-stop with the other two absolutely DOES NOT = more money.
Earlier this year I had a $100 cash tip on a grocery order that was like $20. They were very happy I was fast since her daughter needed the allergy pills I was delivering.
One time I saw a cat fight off a bear, but what does that mean for me or you???..its not like cats are tougher than bears, because you get tipped once and remember it, means the other 99% of the time, it dont happen or you wouldnt be bragging, tell us about the bs you take the rest of the day 😜
It’s by far the best. It’s my main app and all the other tiny food offer apps are filler. I was full time before I had spark with the other food apps and it doesn’t compare. Dollar per mile is way higher and I’m not constantly doing orders. I have nice breaks and get to sit in my car until a $30+ order comes in.
@@YourDriverMike for this year I’m averaging $30.49 an hour overall. I keep a spreadsheet with all my stats. I’m a numbers guy lol. I’ve built my customer base for spark at my store which is a huge thing nobody talks about. People who give you 5 stars will be on your priority list the next time they order.
Spark saved my gig life, without spark I would have gone back to a w2. My goal is 1,000 a week. With spark now its easier to bust 1k a week vs DD. I mean I still do some uber eats and doordash but using them along with deliver that too and to make them all work together.
Yep same.. Instacart used to be the main money maker here like 4 years ago.. ever since the pandemic they kept cutting pay and adding more stops.. You're living 100% on tips now with IC cause the $4 base pay goes directly into vehicle costs.. Spark is the only thing left in town worth doing anymore, I can make 1k a week only working 6hr days.. but they are starting to go the way of instacart, now with the multiple shopping orders, (i hope people dont take those orders, if we do, they will turn Spark into Instacart for sure). The only thing I dont like about Spark is how terrible the app functions, replacements etc.. if Spark can just hire Instacart to build them a proper app it will be a perfect gig.
I worked at Walmart pickup for 3 years. From what I’ve learned order drop in at the 30 min mark of every hour and picking up the order starts at the 45 min mark. Unless you’re doing shop and delivery it’s best to do your route and in the downtime try to do uber eats or DoorDash. But be ready at the 30 mark because orders drop for all drivers in the area so it’s a race to accept them
Last night I had a Walmart batched curbside for 3 deliveries with mileage of 12 miles (small town population 14,000). $84.98 ($9.00 delivery, $75.98 tip). Highest offer I have ever received.
Perfect timing for this video. Last week, a Spark only driver in San Diego hit the #1 Leaderboard spot on the Solo app. It was the first time. His/her earnings were above $2K for the week. It does seem like a gig app trending upward.
Made $145 today in just a little over 4 hours. I have 5 Walmarts around me (closet one is 2 miles),so most of the time when I drop off I’m near another one. Today however one store just kept feeding me orders, so I didn’t do a lot of driving. I don’t even bother with DD or UE anymore. I do this for some extra pocket change as well.
I had a spark pickup at Walmart. Several cars had come after me, picked up their orders and left. This was during the busier time of the day so I waited patiently but finally after many cars and about 15 minutes I finally asked someone about my order. It was a very small order (2 bags, 4 items I think). They girl told me it was being overlooked because it was one tote. I'm glad I asked someone because I could've been sitting there who knows how long.
I love spark. Been doing it full time for a couple of years. In my zone. I only do Sam’s club trips. I can do 4-6 trips a day and make 200-300$ a day. Most I’ve gotten in a single trip from Sam’s club was 150$ for 5 drops and was done in under 2hrs. I’ve done all other gig apps but the only one I have not deleted is the spark app 😂
@ it all depends on the zones and specially the amount of drivers. But Sam’s club has never let me down I turn down offers from Walmart. Too crowded with drivers and it’s takes so long for them to come out and load up.
@@BananaPrint510 it all depends on the zones and specially the amount of drivers. But Sam’s club has never let me down I turn down offers from Walmart. Too crowded with drivers and it’s takes so long for them to come out and load up.
It is. I average 30-50 an hour, but you need to be really picky about what you accept and act as if the offer you take will take you an hour to complete. I don’t even bother with 7.50 food pickups anymore. Plus I drive my car less miles and get a lot of extra steps in
This is exactly where I am at. If I never do another doortrash order, it will be too soon. The mileage is also huge. Perhaps not everyone is in a good area, but luckily it seems I am.
You guys & Mikey baby are getting all excited over this order, but did you guys forget people can tip bait you on this app?? That is right the customer has 24 hours to change your tip amount. So anytime you get a unicorn that's actually in your area it's technically a Gamble.
100% I’ve barely done it here in Philly and have totally given up on it since this Spring. Just this year and last year when I really did it I’ve lost probably $500 in tips from tip theft for no reason. I have a 4.98 rating with only 480 deliveries. So that shows how rampant of an issue it is absolutely unacceptable
I have only been on this since Spring. Only 1 instance where a tip was changed. Also, Sam's tips typically post same day, usually within an hour or two.
That's true on any app and here lately I'm having an issue with Uber eats customers tip baiting really had smh. On Spark, i'm not having that problem as of now.
Walmart spark was rough before but these new expanded delivery miles really ruined it. I'm not driving 24 miles to deliver 3 orders for $14 I'm basically a charity service at that point. Using the IRS mileage deduction rate I lose $2 by accepting it.
My experience is that all of these apps are mostly upside down orders. For me UE is about 85% trash and DD is 75% trash. I tried to do Lyft and that is purely charity. I base those numbers on my AR. lol
I don't depend on tips anymore, I really ignore them, the customer don't even have to tip or take back the tip, Per WSCS, but I do pay attention to the miles and upfront pay👍
Its been the best most consistent for me for several months. Yes there are typical slow days and times like any other app. But all in all its more consistent and definitely best dollar per mile compared to other apps in my market. What makes it good for me is even the bottom line no tip shopping offers for walmart pays 11 dollars. If those are a couple miles or less and less then 10 items. Can easily get it done start to finish in 20 mins, 25 to get back to store. When its busy especially sundays easily get two of them done in an hour. Then fill in slow times with other apps
I started as a online order picker from jan2020 to June 2022, every Walmart is different due to management and employees, drivers did a lot of waiting on certain days I felt bad, now I doordash and love it
Spark is great if you like 26,000 chimes an hour where they send you the same garbage order about 150 times. It's like they hired the toy department at Mattel to design their app. I used to use it quite a bit, but now the offers are so low they are basically the same dollar/mile you can get on Uber or DD and don't have to play the waiting games and schlep huge grocery orders.
It’s pretty good in my market place. I use it to fill in for the dead periods. 20-30 per hour and around 2 per mile. So it’s not bad by any means here. You can’t consistent do that but like with any app you gotta know your market and when to switch up your strategy.
Thank you for such informative videos..and thanks for not going nuts with a " creative " intro and lots of annoying music like some people do. Harrisburg area here. This seems like a good side gig to try. I wonder what this app is like during winter and you have an awd SUV with winter tires 😊😊 On a side note door dash for our areas doesn't pay very and Roadie has 28 pages of terms & conditions that you have to agree to..including the possibility of taking orders back to a store. (Wow)
I applied for spark about two weeks ago. They say there’s no one in my zone, but I’m on a waitlist. How long do you normally have to sit on a waitlist?
Great video bro, I did my first Spark order last week and it was a Sam's pickup with two drop-offs, not bad considering I waited a bit but the app told me I would receive extra for waiting time as it was not my fault. I will continue with Spark for awhile to see how it goes, especially now that it's the holidays things should be pretty busy.
My biggest was a 57 dollar Uber eats delivery. It was on my first couple days of doing gig work too, I had to pick up a brush from Lowe’s and then pick up a sushi order. The sushi order was where most of the money came from.
Did she do an update video for the following day? Because customers tip bait often because the app allows them to increase or decrease the tip within 24hrs
I just got off of a Spark run. It was CRAZY f***ed up! It sent me on a dirt road - in my Corvette!! I'm on some Pony Express trail over here, about to run outta gas and my cell service is in and out... I hung the stupid order on a fence post (yes, there was a barbed wire fence), and bailed. SCREW that. And screw that customer for not disclosing they lived on an ATV trail where the f***ing buffalo roam!
If you live in a big city Walmart sparks can be a full-time job especially if you like working alone, have a lot of anxiety and work better alone or just simply tired of being treated like you are garbage in the work place and getting fired for having said anxiety
Sam’s Club has a lot of problems with offers that have already been delivered or don’t exist. You might get an offer like this occasionally from Sam’s and they are usually bulky and can mess up your transmission.
Mike, you smoking something lol. The first order from Sam’s was easily a banger. No matter how heavy the items stated. It’s just a workout in my opinion. If you think that was a bad curbside pickup, then I can’t say anything more but 😂 Kicker: I have a wheely that can haul 300lbs, great for apartment deliveries with elevators.
It's all from the customer tip and the same customer could of tip great on other delivery service apps as well it all comes down who pays the most in base pay
It depends on which Walmart you go to some Walmart where have you sitting there for hours and others as soon as you arrive Even though it was not ready they will come out actually your name and the driver‘s code and have you out in minutes, also Walmart shopping go is way better than Instacart
I recently accepted a 65 dollar Spark offer in the Covington, La area - 17 parcels, 15 drops that took 2.5 hours to complete and the drive was only 27 miles (taking me home!).
PS I also forgot to mention that customers are taking advantage of the tip so that they can get the groceries once after they’ve gotten the groceries they change their tips down to one or two dollars for tip don’t be fooled
That WOULD make those miles deductible. Just keep in mind you do need to actually be open to requests. You can't just leave it on every time and NEVER accept an offer. Technically you could but that errs close to platform fraud
Yes, in 2022 Instacart introduced tip protection which was great: www.instacart.com/company/shopper-community/tip-protection-for-zeroed-out-tips/ Every gig app should have that feature.
Spark has been good for me so far, although they need to update their app. Alcohol and medicine orders are painful when entering DL info. They don't allow you to scan the DL. Also, when shopping stacked grocery orders, at checkout the app makes you bag the orders before you can scan QR and the attendant can check the order. Other than that, not bad.
When I scan the back of driver's licenses, and state identification cards some require holding, tilting, pulling in and out of focus, a dark background for contrast, or more light when it's dark Many customers tell me I'm one of few, or the only Spark driver that didn't have to manually enter their information Many Spark drivers still try to scan the front of driver's licenses despite being on the Spark platform for quite some time Maybe 1 in 20 will give me an issue We never bag dual shops in the store here as it's not possible We're not allowed to bag until after checkout, and we have to ask Walmart associates for paper Spark bags after checkout I've been warned about bagging in my cart as I shop, or before checkout We just swipe the done bagging prompt so that we can checkout, ask Walmart associates for bags, then bag in the parking lot, which is much faster than bagging in the store
I applied with spark all my reports and records came back now what I haven't heard or gotten anything from spark yet to start delivering I do uber eats now
Wlmartnhas a pickup time yes. I worked in Walmart OGP..the orders need consolidated. Ambient are in blue totes stacked in customer bin..you have to pull the chilled and frozen and add to the totes.. we couldn't start thay process until driver or customer checked in. It takes a few minutes to consolidate scan and head outside. sometimes a scanning issue arises.. thays why we have arrival time amd when we check in with parking space number thays when the order begins to process pit of consolidation. Hope this helps
I got a 125$ Uber driver but my rating was low so couldn't see destination turned out to be a 1.5 hour drive so 3hours round trip a kid moving cities. But he tipped me 95$ so it was worth it. Grocery offers I've had 65$ orders on spark and multi drop order of 92$ but it was like 2.5 hours and 45 miles
I just did spark for the first time yesterday but if I was to go on just yesterday it’s better then door dash had a bunch of 66-72 dollar orders for 38 miles and it was just making drops around the area
My highest was last week with dd, 115.50. Previous high was a Sam's order around 95. Had a Walmart at 90 and got an $85 ue Red Lobster order. I've been pretty lucky/fortunate
Spark is solid. I work 6 to 7 hours a day, $100 to 160 a day. I do not take any order farther than 10 miles. The other delivery apps you drive so many miles and have to put in so many hours. Way less stress than the other apps. I’ve sat and waited for an order for a long time. People that DoorDash and Uber work both apps at the same time. Very stressful. This guy is dead wrong.
Keep in mind all apps are market dependent, I share my personal experience here. I'm glad to see you're having success with Spark. Me being about 30 minutes away from my nearest Walmart it really hurts the commuting miles but I've been hearing others really like Spark
how come nobody talks about Newspaper Courier jobs its dependable money granted the hours are usually always in the early morning and I work like 5 - 7 days a week you grab the newspapers between 2am-4am within that window which takes about 30 - 45min and you are done delivering within 2 hours or less afterwards usually less for me most the time I finish in about 90mins or less an that's it and I am making 1400$ -1600 per Month regularly for only working about 12-15hrs Max per week. 99% of the deliveries are too stores the little newspaper vending machines outside or bring them inside drop off an go that's it half the time you dont even see anyone when dropping them off not many stores are open at 4-6am haha.
unicorn, she got a unicorn one of the rarest orders in a lifetime and everyone's probably gunning for it too so nope not convinced and i use walmart sparx as my main
You can make $400 a day if you do 4am to the airport rides, rush hour Dwt rides in short distances l, and switch to DD until 9. Than come back on DD to do lunch runs at 11 until 1. Take a break until 2. You either do Amazon Flex or Rideshare apps until 630, switch to DD until 830. Go home or if an event in town do event until it dies down
you people arent making money hell you dont even get a fuel surcharge. the wear and tare on your vehicle it doesnt pay you squat what you should be getting, this is definitely a rip off

PS I also forgot to mention that customers are taking advantage of the tip so that they can get the groceries once after they’ve gotten the groceries they change their tips down to one or two dollars for tip don’t be fooled
We were in West Mifflin just last night for a HS reunion for my hubby. I told him we needed to dash on the way! He refused LOL
That WOULD make those miles deductible. Just keep in mind you do need to actually be open to requests. You can't just leave it on every time and NEVER accept an offer. Technically you could but that errs close to platform fraud
Dudes like "waiting for a order" like it's a bad thing. Like he doesn't sit in a parking lot and cherry picking on door dash for 15 minutes.
You do realize users tip bate all the time and it's shameful that these platforms even allow this
Yes, in 2022 Instacart introduced tip protection which was great: www.instacart.com/company/shopper-community/tip-protection-for-zeroed-out-tips/
Every gig app should have that feature.
I dislike that they're shifting to shop and deliver which I hate because I make far less than pick-up orders
I do feel like they're pushing more S&D yes, or sending load & go's to Spark workers with better metrics maybe?
@@YourDriverMike my AR is admittedly low 😂
I do instacart and I mostly get High paying orders with low miles like this at random times 😅 here in Ohio
When I scan the back of driver's licenses, and state identification cards some require holding, tilting, pulling in and out of focus, a dark background for contrast, or more light when it's dark
Many customers tell me I'm one of few, or the only Spark driver that didn't have to manually enter their information
Many Spark drivers still try to scan the front of driver's licenses despite being on the Spark platform for quite some time
Maybe 1 in 20 will give me an issue
We never bag dual shops in the store here as it's not possible
We're not allowed to bag until after checkout, and we have to ask Walmart associates for paper Spark bags after checkout
I've been warned about bagging in my cart as I shop, or before checkout
We just swipe the done bagging prompt so that we can checkout, ask Walmart associates for bags, then bag in the parking lot, which is much faster than bagging in the store
I applied with spark all my reports and records came back now what I haven't heard or gotten anything from spark yet to start delivering I do uber eats now
Hm could be a waitlist
I delivered one beats headphone to a customer by the Beach for walmart in South Florida and made 50 bucks, the dropoff was like 3 miles away. ❤
I paused the video when she talked about the 40-50lbs. It's purified water so my guess is 2 cases of water, I'll see if I'm right!
Looks like 40 pack of water bottles from what I can tell, that thing is pretty big!
I've been on the waiting list for Spark for awhile now, doing DD and Uber in the meantime.
Spark will be good from now until Christmas 🎄
My 2 highest orders in 7,000 deliveries were 75 and 95$ for a couple miles, large catering
5:43 I strongly do not like the way they pack the items for curbside orders! Its ridiculous how they waste bags 🤦🏽♀️
If you don’t like the gig work you’re in the wrong area. Sorry.
Spark is my best side gig. It by far pays the most for me, best ROI, return on time. That said, may be dependent on my marketplace.
I just did spark for the first time yesterday but if I was to go on just yesterday it’s better then door dash had a bunch of 66-72 dollar orders for 38 miles and it was just making drops around the area
Well, Mike. After all these years we get that you ain't feeling Walmart Spark 😊
Trying to sign up. Can you filter to just load and go or is it like instacart where you have to select it?
My highest was last week with dd, 115.50. Previous high was a Sam's order around 95. Had a Walmart at 90 and got an $85 ue Red Lobster order. I've been pretty lucky/fortunate
What?! You got paid $115.50 for one order on DoorDash? That's crazy!
So in your opinion what is the best side hustle for 2025?
Base pay should be more, because it’s bulk items and the weight
Not where I live, It sucks!
Seems like a great order until they take the tip away! I've delivered a $50 spark order with a $40 tip and the customer changed it to $2.
Spark $93.80 3.8 mls... currently
I'm still on the wait list😢😢
I got excited about a $63 order last week.
Nice, how many miles?
Walmart is wayyyyyy better than any app besides Uber pay wise
Don't sign up for this app. They ask for sensitive data and when completed, they say your zone is full. That is harvesting/data collection gone insane
Spark is the best. I enjoy it!
So what do you consider is the best gig app??
No. It’s uber and Lyft is the best gig apps
I do it way more than my Uber and dd and imstacart
Wow surprising, interesting to see how many Spark workers like the platform over other apps!
how come nobody talks about Newspaper Courier jobs its dependable money granted the hours are usually always in the early morning and I work like 5 - 7 days a week you grab the newspapers between 2am-4am within that window which takes about 30 - 45min and you are done delivering within 2 hours or less afterwards usually less for me most the time I finish in about 90mins or less an that's it and I am making 1400$ -1600 per Month regularly for only working about 12-15hrs Max per week. 99% of the deliveries are too stores the little newspaper vending machines outside or bring them inside drop off an go that's it half the time you dont even see anyone when dropping them off not many stores are open at 4-6am haha.
$198
Just did a 50 dollar 11 mile
Tip take 24hours to receive
Lol. Youd make more money as a supervisor at walmart than being a spark driver. The only ones "making money" on spark are the scammers.
unicorn, she got a unicorn one of the rarest orders in a lifetime and everyone's probably gunning for it too so nope not convinced and i use walmart sparx as my main
Yes pretty much pure luck but great to get that offer
Spark sucks. Don’t do it. You’ll regret it. Do DD, it’s the best!!
Go home or if an event in town do event until it dies down
That is alot😳
Every zone doesn’t have Sams Club
My unicorn is $94.22 for .6 mile pick up from sams club.
For .6 miles! That's insane, all tip I assume like this one?
@@YourDriverMike yea $84 tip
you people arent making money hell you dont even get a fuel surcharge.
the wear and tare on your vehicle it doesnt pay you squat what you should be getting,
this is definitely a rip off
100 I can send a picture
Spark is awful.
