My friend did this full time for several years back in 2012-13 through a contracted company. He delivered medicine to nursing homes all over the state. He'd pick up the meds from a local pharmacy. Basically a gig driver before it was popular
do Roadie. I regularly make around $60-80 per day only driving 2-3 hours, mostly prescriptions as I enjoy those deliveries. in my area it's mostly CVS, Kaiser Permanente hospitals, and King Soopers. sometimes you get decent tips too.
Thank you for your video, going to try several of the places you listed. Started by trying signing up for CBDriver. In the DFW, Texas area and it says, "There are no CBDriver Ads found matching your criteria." - my search criteria was 'any' vehicle type, my zip code and within 100 miles. Tried within 50 miles first and then expanded to 100 just to ensure completely covered entire DFW area. Disappointing, I was encouraged by what you showed. I realize like most GIG work will vary by location and you have no control over amount (or type) work in an area. Just thought I'd share for others.
Thanks for the insight. I have tried to work for medical carriers before & they either were filled in my area, not in my area, or never responded back! Hopefully, one, if not all of these that I applied for, will respond back.
You’ve given me a lot to think about and prepare for on my quest to try my hand in the courier industry, and I want to startup my first small business as a courier and delivery service, but I realize I need a lot more experience in this field than I have, in a new state where I don’t know my way around as well, and only one vehicle which I just purchased and will be paying for for the next 5 years. It’s a Toyota Corolla cross, so there is a little room, but it’s really only like a big car, and I would like to transfer my vehicle and insurance into my business expenses instead of from my personal account, along with the navigation, apps, and cell phone
Medzoomer isn't the best...I did fill in even for 3 days a week. U have to pay for the background check which is 50. You typically make 50.00 for shift...but u never get much. They work for smaller pharmacies not like a CVS or wallgreens
@@YourDriverMike I mean, not that the gas expense is gonna be so high because it’s Prius, but if I don’t have to pay for gas, I would happily pay $100 for a month lol
Medzoomer is good on money but in Orlando sadly they still only have one pharmacy and they don't get batches every day. 😢. I believe in Tampa Fl they are booming though.
I live in Clearwater and I'm considering driving for Medzoomer. I'm hoping it will be around $15/hour after gas expenses. Not sure if I believe the $25/hour hype because that's more than FedEx pays for much less work it seems.
Sounds fantastic! Did you go through the processes of all 5? Paying for background checks, whatever the requirements are, and follow through to see if they are legitimate claims for any of them?
Short answer NO. If he did he would explain it. This video is a youtube cash grab very smart. 3 out of 5 are garbage. No one wants a 9-5 slavery job and delivery apps are the move so easy views
If you are an Uber driver in Nashville or any other city piloting Standard vs. Advantage Mode, call Uber Support and opt out of this crap. Uber is trying to punish those who do not accept every ride by forcing us into Standard Mode. Yet they do not cover every expense on our cars. You need to select the phone option for support. I just opted out of this pilot program. If enough drivers in a market opt out of a pilot program, Uber will likely not implement that program later on.
im in vegas and there are no Courier Gigs here iv applied through all these platforms and even more and they all say the same thing either nothing available in your area our we have enough drivers check back later. it has been like this here for at least 4 years does anyone no way this is? we have millions of people here I know all routes could not be possible be covered
Comes down to volume plus pay. You need enough offers that pay enough plus enough work hours. One app I did a video on advertised up to $2,500/week. It has to be higher ticket services though. Regular food delivery etc can’t hit those numbers
Its possible best week I've had has been $4500 . Disclaimer I've been doing this for 13 years and have customers that call and dedicated work.. One was $1400 a week 10hours a week. 2nd one was $1500 a week 20 hours On call paid $400 evertime they called Then miscellaneous calls.
Hardly anything for small metro or rural type areas - mainly just the big cities. Am desperate to get out of retail and gig working seems the best option ... on paper .... but just not the opportunities (even Uber/Lyft/etc is a bust)
Absolutely awesome videos very informative..! Question, Can These apps be worked on even if you have things on your background.? Or do you know of any of these good apps that you can work on with a minor background?
Medzoomer gets complaints because it seems they pay $5 per delivery and it is pretty far from pick up locations. Might want to not bother. Makes me wonder about the rest of this list.
Majority require 100/300/50...it's pretty affordable. Call around and find cheaper insurance. I was paying 600 a month, changed companies and now pay a little over $400.
I'm curious. I've seen a lot of your posts, I picked up a ticket a year or so ago, a nice police officer gave me a ticket on Christmas Eve... And I actually had someone run into me actually a monster truck scraped across the back end of my car and just pulled the plastic thing off the bumper, I found one in the junkyard had it painted and bolted on. Somehow the insurance blamed me, so I'm not sure I qualify for any of these driving jobs. Prior to all of that, I had a nice clean driving record, and I drove for doordash for about 3 years. After receiving that speeding ticket but before being run into doordash had suspended me for having the ticket, which was expunged because I took the online class they let you take to avoid the, they got a report explaining all of this from their background checkr people. Apparently all they got was page one, and didn't get to page two which explained that the ticket had been removed. They told me to appeal to checkr, which I did, they even sent me the report which clearly showed everything and that my license was clean, but doordash would never allow me back on their platform again.
It’s my job to undercover and test different side hustles. These “discovery” style videos where we review new opportunities keeps those options fresh! Appreciate you watching
Man, a lot of these gig apps are saturated with people already! Especially in major cities. I live in a major city and all of these gig apps in my area have me on a waiting list. People get on RUclips and make it seem easy to get with these apps but ain't.
You can always reach out to support to check. Most times they can’t help expedite an onboarding but I’ve had apps onboard me after waiting forever like Grubhub
I've been waiting for over a year. "We apologize for the extended wait, as we've experienced a surge in demand on our end. Our Onboarding Team will contact you if there is a need for more drivers in your area. However, if you haven't been approved by our courier management team yet, it indicates that we currently do not have sufficient orders in your area to accommodate additional couriers." Mind you. I live in Houston. the 3rd Largest city. WTF! Lol.
DoorDash has been around for 10. Uber even longer. Platforms are testing robot delivery/service but it’s a very very small niche of their portfolio as of now.
