I make about 70% less with Doordash than I did when I started in 2018 through 2020 and then each year respectively became less money. I don’t do it as much as I did, but let’s not pretend the popularity equals income for drivers which I think we clarifiedamount of merchants does not income for drivers and you have to deal with a lot of gaslighting and a lot of questionable practices
They are oblivious to driver concerns and the logistics \ dispatch lacks any local considerations, the scheduling is the most bogus thing ever, the fake tier system is worse.
Yeah exactly. Popularity among customers and a growing # of merchants don't mean anything when the rewards system is designed to control and spread out orders among dashers by purposely oversaturating the markets. When the rewards system hit you were guaranteed to do worse than before. Now the 2nd year of the rewards system is in a fight to compete w/ the 1st year to be the worst. I believe Door Dash is so profitable (stock) recently because they have oversaturated the markets even more than before. I never had it this bad in the fall season. It's awful!
Door dash is committing suicide slowly but surely they had one of the most successful Chicago and surrounding suburbs delivery driver and basically screwed him till I couldn't take it anymore when I'm working All day to have a 8th a tank has left a pack of smokes maybe a few pops I drink Dr pepper that's not a job it's a joke I drive a decent older model Audi A4 convertible and I'm driving it into the ground working for door dash

in my market, amazon flex base pay starts at $24...so for sure flex is tier S for me. Not to metion last week 2 out of 4 shifts are free money :)
Flex is one of the top apps in my opinion too. My market is around $24 base as well. I just hate doing 40?plus stops 😒
