Debrand should give their skin a slogan: "Something is better than Nothing"
The nothing makes wild Hypes Before Launch
Honestly it feels like they've got their priorities straight. Not very interested in a midrange phone but I sincerely hope they become successful enough to get big enough to take on the flagship models.
I really respect their effort for software optimization, as an all time android user I think it's one of the most important things apple does, that more android manufacturers should do.
I think this could work in western markets but in Asian markets it got no chance beating Samsung or Xiomi. Feels like a cool toy compared to big phone companies.
This is actually really interesting. From the nothing ear buds and now a phone. The led is pretty flashy but kinda cool too.
I don't expect it to be better than iPhones as it's completely different segment.. both have different target audience, and both are good in their own place 😊
I hope to God we don't get another OnePlus situation with this one. I'm really rooting for the Nothing company and the potential of what they could evolve into down the road
Add a new phone to my liste of phones that i will never own
From a comparative perspective this phone obviously offers well I have to say it, Nothing. BUT from a startup standpoint, this is an amazing start, I am more excited for future phones than I am for the current.
I always loved the design of the iPhone 5. Its curved but flat edges and the matte backside was always very appealing to me. But when I bought my first iPhone it was the iPhone 6 with its curved edges, which most of all the other companies followed afterwards. I couldn't find a phone I would have really liked. Therefore I am so glad and thankful that Apple re-introduced the design with its 12 series, so that other brands can now follow.
Really good unbiased review with much background info and not just reading off a spec sheet
No gonna lie, I love debrand sense of humor:
I think this company is going to be a giant eventually. They have some smart people over there.
😃 I like the style of the review even more than the item reviewed! 👍🏼
Software optimization, reasonable pricing, looks like dear old Carl Pei's carrying on the OnePlus spirit at another company.
It's like the proverbial glass half-full or glass half-empty concept here. You either think it's too expensive for the specs or cheaper than an iphone but with quality, optimization and updates that come really close to the iPhone. Me, I'm totally fine with this phone if I were out on the market for a new one.
Well that's what I love about you Arun you are really honest while reviewing phones.
I thought that back detail was for sure going to be some custom thing but... to have that rolled out in production is so damn cool. Really nice industrial design right there!
I hope they will do a nothing phone pro or something, they really capture that iphone feel for an Android phone
