Great side by side comparison and commentary from a guy that owns both vehicles. No bias and no nonsense. Wait for the stupid comments to ensue..."why compare this to that"..."Wait until X comes out"...."it's not really fair because one is mid engine" ...."it's not fair that one is supercharged"...."I would still rather own"....blah blah blah. Both amazing cars priced within $1k of one another.
That's the true comparison of "equal" when comparing what you get from either manufacturer Ford vs GM for the same dollars spent. Period.

This a NEXT LEVEL comparison! His language is ultra descriptive, and accessible. But the real gem is @ 13:30 , the side by side comparison PERFECTLY demonstrates everything that he spent the first 13 minutes explaining so well. The visual of the steering wheel movements say it all. Great editing choice to do things in that order, and put the side by side where you did. Im as impressed with your editing choices as your driving! Great job, all the way around, young man!

Videos like these are sustaining me thru our forced home imprisonment.

I agree and have to laugh when he says he is just giving the impressions of the cars from the perspective of the average track enthusiast. Austin is clearly a talented driver and is well beyond the abilities of most amateurs. He also seems to be a student of race car driving, using the correct terminology to describe what he and the car is doing. That being said, I very much appreciate getting his feedback about the characteristics (good & bad) of each car.

I think the gt500 is at the edge of what a front engine mustang can do. Anymore they'll have to reengineer the whole car to handle the power gains and make it still competitive in all aspects. I'm hoping the Corvette gets to the level of the GT where it started to be pointed at. For years Corvette was just barely trying to out perform Mustangs.

Wow that was a great review all your analogies with the two were impressive and the drive side by side , spot on and really showed the cars activity while you were 140 mph’ing you can see the corvette really shines and takes down the track with ease while the gt500 it’s a mustang and it shows with all it’s short comings that you would expect from a mustang jittery a lot more input to drive and it dances while moving around on you constantly on more difficult areas of the track. It would seem that the corvette is more refined and able to go further without wearing it and yourself out longer. Amazing video you don’t get this degree of detail with any of the car channels as it’s very evident that the high levels of drive and report the news

The Corvette is more composed and in control on the track.
This is due to its mid engine design and advanced suspension.
In a lot ways the Corvette is a superior car than the GT 500, maybe in looks too.

Both cars are great, Mustang has a better sound though. I think the Corvette has so much potential the platform is so good, the s550 mustang platform seems to be at the end of it's rope and the GT500 is a car that was made to do things that the platform is not optimized for. Again, both cars are great and this video was very well done

WOW! Congratulations man!! You just went up my list of top 3 favorite car RUclipsrs. This video took your channel to another level. I am still gathering ideas on how to do a car channel but I don't know how. I use to have a 2010 Stang GT and then 2017 PP Premium GT that I sold not very long after I purchased it because I finally met the girl of my dreams, got married and now expecting my 1st child. I like my 9 to 5, but I am dying to do this for a living someday and if I can't reach that status, at least a side gig to earn just enough $$ to go pay for a Mustang. My dream is a GT350 pre-owned and a 2nd gen Raptor pre-owned (maybe the new Bronco will replace the Raptor as my off-roader dream car) I've always been a Ford guy (Audi and Ferrari too) since I was 12, but the C7 and now even more so the C8 have won me over to consider one day buying a Chevy for first time ever. I have a MacBook Pro and iPhone to start. I have no idea how to edit videos and do this tech stuff. I am Gen X, I am not Tech ignorant but not too genius either. How can I start? I have a few ideas on what the content might be (aside from cars)
Anyways.....congrats you are way on your way to be in the same league as Dough DeMuro!

Randy Murray well it’s pretty obvious, you have a 700+ hrps Shelby and a 495hrps vette second the engine in the front regardless wastes more gas cause it’s pulling the power where mid engine is pushing the power, third the Shelby weighs a lot more then the vette, fourth, the vette puts better down force and is less to lose traction, fifth better suspension, sometimes the smoother the ride can save you fuel, that goes for the suvs tho idk about cars like these but just wanted to throw that out there.

Quote: Did you have something done to the GT500 to compensate for *it's* handling weaknesses?

Now, read that sentence but this time, insert either "it is" or "it has" in place of *it's* and tell me if it makes sense?
NOTE: IT'S = contraction for either "it is" OR "it has"
Doesn't really make sense, does it?
The correct usage is simply *ITS* ~ when you refer BACK to a noun (person, place or thing), use *its* ~ when you want to say "it is" or "it has", use the APOSTROPHE!
