    Return the heat too the outside.
    A split system ac unit for homes do the same principal for cooling off a home .
    You also have to drain the condensation from the coil

    Cool fact: If you have a white tent instead besides any other colour tent, the temperature inside the tent will cool down faster with the portable air conditioner because white reflects sunlight to keep the heat from entering in and with the help of a white tarp, it will insulate the cold air that is inside meanwhile it will reflect the incoming sunlight heat away from the tent from entering in. Great video by the way 😀.

    The directions say to use two hoses and I use 2 hoses and the wave would have got temp down to 65-70 easily

    Did you use anything other than the rain fly to cover the roof mesh?

    • @tacltogether
      @tacltogether  7 месяцев назад +1

      Just the rain fly cover that comes with the tent

      If you put a moving blanket on the mesh before throwing on the rainfly it'll be way more efficient ij terms of battery and twmperature because it'll prevent all the AC from escaping. That AC should easily maintain 68° in that small space.

    A battery is only going to last so long. It will eventually die & need to be charged...you need a generator for weekend use to power this unit up for sure.

      I haven’t tried it out yet but my test was going to be just use it during the night recharge with solar during the day and maybe that would work. 98% of the time your not in the tent during the day time so figured if it gives enough power to run the night time then that would be great.

    This guy doesn't know the principle behind the AC. You are sucking out the cool air inside coz you didn't put the 2nd back hose that should suck the outside air to cool the heat exchanger.
    What a stupid inaccurate review

      He talks about how great it’s working…. But every temp check the numbers don’t say it’s great. Then final temp check it’s about to rain and the test is over. 🤷‍♂️ Wonder if he got it for free or trying to get sponsored.

    You are better off using in a cardboard box.

    very inefficient, its heating up the cold air it just released into the tent, it needs to intake the air from the outside.

    • @tacltogether
      @tacltogether  Год назад +2

      This is the same way that the home portable air conditioners run, with just an exhaust pipe no intake pipe they just use the ambient air for the intake. I’ve ran my 14k BTU portable A/C for years in my air tent that you can see in other videos and it worked great like that. If you add both the intake and exhaust pipe to this unit the door opening would be really big so you would be left with a large opening allowing more space for bugs and critters to enter the tent.

    • @bdv861
      @bdv861 5 месяцев назад +1

      Plus, he's creating a mild vacuum inside the tent and drawing in hot air from the outside. Two hoses leading through the door opening can easily be sealed with a blanket ot towel. I do that all the time. Much more efficient use 2 hoses. You are not taking advantage of the Wave's full capability.

    • @silverback2488
      @silverback2488 4 месяца назад

      Yeah and he still don't get it. What a stupid guy. Use 2 hose for the back side. You are sucking the cold air. Why can't you get it?

      @TACL
      Put the 2nd hose hose at the back. You are sucking the cold air from inside. Why can't you get it? You talk like you know too mich.
