plus the symbol from Bandersnatch being the same one as in White Bear, and the video games in bandersnatch being called 'Nosedive' and Metelhead. And the rail crash in the news could be linked to Bandersnatch as well
Charlie Brooker the writer of the show has said that all episodes are actually NOT in the same universe, but the production just like to create easter eggs here and there for the fun and for the fans but this is not something that should be taken seriously. Actually, he said that "when we have an empty screen in the show and we don't know what to put there, we like to put an easter eggs for the fun".
Then how would the black museum episode make sense if it wasn't in the same universe? If anything that episode proves the theory that they exist within the same universe.
Brooker just loves his own show, he said it himself that it does not all take place in the same universe... He is a writer of a series about crimes/unethical things being done with technology. In one episode, of that same series, he had to fill a museum with technology that was used for crimes/unethical things... So for a writer, it would be damn fun and an obvious choise to just fill it with stuff he came up with. It doesn't need to mean anything, just a simple but very obvious reference to his own creation. It's fun, for the viewer and himself. I don't think there's more to it.
Also,I think it's a good choice of using props from his own series to fill this museum. Because we all know the stories behind them, we know the meaning of them. If it was filled with robots, lasers... and stuff we have never seen before, the episode would have been meaningless, because these things would have no meaning to us, we don't know what they are. It's a museum, the exhibits need to tell a story.
Furthermore, these can still technically take place in the same mega-universe, that is the group of parallel universes in existence within the show (provided we assume the "many worlds theory"). That would basically explain away any similarities between events as well as any discrepancies. Similar things happen, and in most universes everything could be pretty much the same.
Another Easter egg: in USS Calister the first plannet that Cole goes to is called Rannoch B which is the last name of Ian Rannoch, the killer in White Bear & The other nation one about the robot bees.
Also: Skillane IV is the planet that Daly & Cole go on alone. Skillane is the same name of the Skillane that was Rannoch’s partner (the child killer duo) in other episodes like in White Bear.
Very interesting! There’s also an easter egg that I found in ‘Black Museum’ when Haynes is explaining the mouse experiment to Dawson, he names the mice Kenny and Hector: the names of the two main characters in ‘Shut Up and Dance.’
No it's not, that episode takes place in Finland, that one was in Scotland. Did the Entirety History of you people live in Scotland too? Might just be the same sets being used again.
in Metalhead, when the car console is being hacked, if you pause it right you can see code referencing episodes from the series and a message asking you why you paused it lol
You missed one: The black museum logo is a reference to the first death in Meatlhead. Also, about the that says "fifteen million merits" instead of "hot shots", I don't think it is a continuity error. I think it actually refers to the comic book the guy reads on Black Museum. Maybe, even though the reality show "hot shots" really exists, it is possible that the events on fifteen million merits didn't happen in the show, but only on the fictional comic book.
Daniel Rieger Creator Charlie Brooker has said in past interviews that they were not. But this season 4 obviously disproves it. ( interviews conducted before season 4)
Black mirror, at it's core, is an anthology series. Meaning nothing was meant to be connected. But you know, the lure of shared universes is irresistible in entertainment nowadays

I believe it’s just a replica. It isn’t obvious that the machine is part of a crime, so it’s likely that the investigation into what happened to Daly revealed information about things like the lollipop. Rolo probably put a lollipop there to make the display more authentic, similar to the blood inside the bath from Crocodile that he has on display. She obviously panicked that her daughter ran away, the police got involved, and because the tech was illegal (and what she did to her daughter) it was considered criminal. Thus she probably went to jail and the tablet ended up in the museum.
Yeah but it wasn't illegal, it was just banned meaning you can't get them anymore. The mom also threatened to go to the police with the footage of sex and drugs and I'm assuming since she was such a protective mother that she wouldn't get herself locked up just to send the kid down too, I mean who would look after her daughter if she was in jail.
Alexander V Wasn't the memory scanner something in common usage though? What I don't understand is how they managed to get the hamster(guinea pig?) to recall the exact memories they needed, when everyone else controlled what was seen on the screen with their own mind, surely the hamster would just constantly be thinking about eating hay or something haha.
If you placed everything in chronological order, Black Museum would go first; it established the beta stages of technology in Black Mirror, mainly brain implants and cookies. Metalhead would obviously be last, since humanity was being wiped out. It only has two Easter eggs, the house and the white bears. I might come back and edit this comment and connect every episode, but the only ones that don’t fit are 15 Million Merits and Nosedive (funnily enough, my two favorite episodes). Someone suggested cookie simulations, and it’s definitely plausible.
The question would be how did Rolo Haynes get hold of all that stuff? Specially weird to adquire things like a bloody bathtub haha. Still Black Museum was cool, except for the very last scene perhaps.
If consciousness may only be transferred to something that has (at least) 5 emotions, wouldn't it be funny to have a Black Mirror / Inside Out crossover ?

Real question is FTW is the tub doing there? It's a technology museum, should've put the memory scanning device in there.
Everyone keeps saying 15MM is just a comic and didn't happen but what if the comic is just based on a true story?
Black Mirror Universe is amazing!!!
The hamster gerbil things in black museum were named Hector and Kenny and I actually had a heart attack when I heard their names
Anyone notice RAIL CRASH latest? A rail crash was a big plot in Bandersnatch.
I love black mirror it’s cool..
This was awesome 😍 thank you so much
Do you know what the title "Black Mirror" is a reference to? Chances are, you're staring into one right now.
In Playtest when Cooper enters the office there's a poster advertising the new game 'Mettl Hedd' which refers to the Metalhead ;)
The hospital in Black Museum is called Saint Juniper, which is English for San Junipero.
This video was a while ago but can you try and line up every episode in order from the beginning of the universe to the end
Tusk from Hated in the Nation is in Arkangel as a poster in the girl's room.
Omg I’m shook..
What if TCKR is TUCKERSOFT?!!
The question would be how did Rolo Haynes get hold of all that stuff? Specially weird to adquire things like a bloody bathtub haha.
Still Black Museum was cool, except for the very last scene perhaps.
I feel so bad for the PM...
In Crocodile the guy at the hotel desk mentions “the judge of Hot-Shots”.
Damn, i never noticed any of them except black museum.
Great video !
when i first watched black museum i thought the bath tub was supposed to be a reference to Be Right Back, where she put him in the bath tub over night
If consciousness may only be transferred to something that has (at least) 5 emotions, wouldn't it be funny to have a Black Mirror / Inside Out crossover ?
Why do you say the survivors in ‘Metalhead’ are Scottish when they clearly have English accents?
TheGaragebandGuide because its set in scotland. He probably made a mistake
Black Mirror is so fucking cool. Anyone seen Bandersnatch yet?
I feel Clayton Leigh murder story is somewhat similar to that of Steven Avery (lady journalist, mutilated body, dna tampering, documentary) Few Easter eggs not mentioned in this video.. "Tusk" poster in Sara's room from the Arkangle episode, who's the rapper from " Hated in the nation" episode..
Brb charging centre in Black museum as in reference to Be Right Back episode
Lacie pound's mugshot(nosedrive) on screen and mia's(from crocodile) mugshot (maybe) on the wall in the Black museum episode
plot twist: all episodes besides black museum are actually comic books that people are reading in the episode black museum
the episodes are live action remakes
Metalhead was totally from postapocaliptic time. But technology seems like from other episodes (similar time)
I love this show
wow when he explained about the dogs....
What a sick universe that is!
Are you able to make a timeline/chronology of each episode?
You forgot that the hospital he used to work for is called Saint Junipers, referencing San Junipero.
The game designer being on trial for Cooper's death makes me happy.
This is beautiful
