'Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too" was an episode that you would not expect from Black Mirror but it's also what you need, it's comedy and I think it was breath of fresh air in this universe. I really enjoyed that one, it was funny
Another easter egg, when Catherine is talking to Ashley before she slips into the coma, she uses the same conversational tactics that they told Billy Bauer to use in Smithereens.
The guy's orange cat from USS Callister episode is also shown walking around the house where Ashley's manager and doctor are keeping her hostage in the final act of the episode.
I didn't quite like season 5, to be honest. None of the episodes had an unexpected gritty conclusion to its story that I've grown to love in Black Mirror's earlier seasons.
I was thinking the same! However, I have had time to sit on it lol After both my husband and I had dreams related to Striking Vipers (I dreamed I was married to this girl I know from primary school and he dreamt he was married to one of his mates!! lol) after those dreams we agreed that that level of messing up with our brain was, in a way, genius. Also (and they do touch some of the subjects here) I think these episodes seem too rosy - mostly happy endings, except for Smithereenes I guess. But The other two have that traditional climax, very anti-Black mirror in a way. HOWEVER, there is a lot of implicit darkness. The fact that the Ashely-O dolls are a replica and they have a lock to only use 4% of their Brain/consciousness, thats a bit dark - plus they were all destroyed? We just are not shown that explicitly... And what to say about SV... I guess it is a great exploration of how different relationships can work in unconventional ways? Messes me up to think about it....
The #Tucker is all of the above. It's all connected starting with Tuckersoft, and ending with TCKR. TCKR is the future of Tuckersoft. San Junipero is so named because the tech that makes it possible started at Saint Juniper's as shown in Black Museum.
Season 5 disappointed me honestly. Nothing was really shocking to me. Usually when I watch Black Mirror I am on the edge of my seat and then everything ties in together at the end and I'm left with goosebumps and my mind blown but season 5 was lack luster in my opinion.
I thought the Smithereens on was very powerful, because after watching that episode life goes on for everybody and you forget such a big thing within seconds, and that was exactly what the episode is about. You watch about an hour of kidnapping, a horrible story of a man and how he kills himself after because of an app, and in the end you see a few people getting a notification about it all and they read it and go on to play basketball. For me the best episode of the season, by far.
because the concepts are way too close to reality unlike the previous episodes where the technologies are much more advance. next season should be back to normal.
I agree. An Easter egg does not make a good episode. Did season 1 contain any Easter eggs? Seems more time is spent tying stuff together and reusing names rather than good storytelling.
You totally missed the fact the Miley Cyrus track is a cover from NIN's Head Like A Hole 1989 track. The original lyrics deal with the fact that God Money cannot buy control on rebel minds. The path followed by Miley Cyrus from a cute Disney child to a sexy rebel chick in real life is the perfect illustration of her rebelious attitude against Disney within the episode. This is why she sings the original version by the end of the episode. I believe this is a huge easter egg dedicated to Disney which is about to launch its own streaming platform anytime now and threaten Netflix. I'm pretty sure that was charlie's aim to illustrate this industrial war to come as seen from Netflix environment.
Also her hit song lyrics are "im going to get what i deserve" in the same key as head like a hole. It ties together with head like a hole as their lyrics are "youre going to get what you deserve". A clever suttle 'you got whats coming to you' refrence
In the original song the line "I'd rather die than give you control" might have been the initial idea of the episode. This climaxes in the scene when Ashley Too cuts off the life support on the real Ashley O to regain control. Writing a full episode based on the lyrics of a song is making this episode much better than people thought it was.
@@LucTonnerre2000 lol! Devo's version is the cover!! Trent Reznor actually inserts the line "you're going to get what you deserve" into a lot of his other works -- it's a recurring theme -- to the point that it's actually a line in the movie Seven. (Seven opens to a remix of "Closer" by Nine Inch Nails; in Seven's "sloth" scene, John C McGinley leans close to the victim and creepily whispers "you got what you deserved.") In a way, I feel like there's actually a "Nine Inch Nails cinematic universe," and that Black Mirror episode is part of it. If you look at Head Like a Hole's lyrics, which are about the worship of money and capitalism, the plot of the episode hews pretty close to the content of the NIN song.
@@JennFrank Damn, you're right. I never knew about the DEVO version but since they've been around like forever I figured, they should have been first. Thanks for clearing that up. At least I was right about the content ;)
@@LucTonnerre2000 Yeah, NIN is '90s industrial, and Devo is '80s new wave, so of course it makes sense to assume that one song came out before the other. Weirdly, though, the original NIN song came out in 1988, and Devo's cover was 1996! I googled around, and this misconception is actually pretty common! There are a lot of people who assume Devo's cover came first! It's obviously because Devo is the older band :)
Didn't anyone see the Nosedive reference in Striking Vipers? It was right there so it made me think perhaps I made it up in my head. When his wife hands him the chocolate bar it's a Lacie bar!! Lacie, Nosedive.
Am I the only one who is a bit disappointed with this season? I mean it was only just entertaining and i didnt get this 'mirror effect' i used to in all the other episodes.
i think because of the wide audience that prefer the more lighthearted episodes (san junipero etc) the writers decided to continue this route. it’s unfortunate because i don’t watch black mirror to smile, i watch it to feel disturbed and question society which what originally made it such a unique show.
I haven't watched the Ashley Too episode yet, but from the two episodes, I really noticed a difference on how they portray technology. It's not as deadly as it was before, even tho in Smithereens people die from being on the phone while driving. It was an interesting take on the subject, but at the same time it wasn't a futuristic high-tech-gone-wrong story, it was more like a new level govern advertisement. It is an excelent episode, although it doesn't fit into the black mirror standards.
One Easter egg that I think was missed was in striking vipers, when Anthony Mackies character goes to log on to the new game for the first time, the notification icon has an ouroboros in it, this could be a reference to altered carbon as Anthony Mackie is reprising the role of takeshi kovac. The ouroboros is a symbol heavily used in altered carbon
In the first episode of season 5 I thought the name of the nightclub “The Year” was a reference to Saint Juniper’s episode because the characters meet in various nightclubs located in different years. Has anyone had this impression?
Really?I personally feel that season 5 was written in a way that disappointed many fans because it doesn't have than usual vibe even though the storylines were splendid as always. In fact I think that the Black Museum episode from season 4 is more of a fan service with the countless Easter eggs that were kinda forced.
@Jake Boos I felt like Smithereens was making commentary of how fast information can travel in present day, and how much information social media websites have on just random individuals. Kind of like saying we are currently in this "dreadful" future reality.
@Jake Boos Jake Boos, are you serious? Striking vipers doesnt touch on the potential horrors that could be a result of advancing technology? Falling in love with an idea that can only exist in the digital world, and not in the real world isn't horrifying, or black mirror-y to you? Wow, you need to get your brain checked.
My favorite Easter egg was Ashley O on the cover of SugarApe (seen in the Ashley episode, on a wall behind a desk), as it ties BM to the Nathan Barley show which was co-written by Brooker
Also, one of the more obvious easter eggs from this season that people are failing to mention is that one of the avatars from the Striking Vipers game is a white bear
I just started watching this series and just watched "Ashley 2". I really loved this episode. It started a bit slowly but progressed rapidly. The sisters were believable and as time went on got better and better.
even though i thought this season was pretty weak considering all the 4 seasons before, my favorite episode was Smithereens definitely, this episode showed us something we can relate to nowadays differently from striking vipers and ashley o's one.
They've already said that doing bandersnatch and season 5 at the same time was a massive strain on their team, which probably ended up making the season worse
Ep 3 it was funny it was sad too some how i felted its related to MJ how he died and how they created holographic dance of MJ and many other thingz too. is this only me or u ppl also felted d same?
Plus, Michael Jackson was murdered. Many people think there was AEG and SONY behind the murder. To exploit his money and catalogue. He was left heavily sedated - Murray killed him with drugs.
the storylines this season were interesting but lacked the anxiety i seek in and existed in all the other black mirror seasons. need more episodes about the dark effects of technology!
Also Nosedyve, Bandersnatch and Metal Hedd are all Tuckersoft games or videos....yet they are also episodes in and of themselves in the Black mirror universe. Does this mean that Tuckersoft could be an A.I. system that has been developing alongside humanity and producing these sort of test-scenarios to see how humanity would react before it finally strikes?
The Ashley O song has the same melody as "Head Like a Hole" by NIN. Then she covers it at the end of the episode. May not be an Easter egg but I thought it was cool
Terrific work! Thanks from a new great fan of the serie... This make yourself enjoy more the episodes, even when they aren't clearly connected, it's simply cool how they effort on the details just to entretaint the fans.
Idk if it's specifically one thing or the game just used a general image, but at the end of S5E3 when Ashley O is doing the NIN song we see that the Ashly Too bot has a sticker on it. It's an Anarchy sticker from Life is Strange: Before the Storm. Which I think is a cool little easter egg (if it is one) since the scene we see it in is a similar setting/vibe as the opening chapter of the LIS:BTS game. Of course, that's only if it's really an easter egg to that and not just me seeing a connection that's not there... XD
People straight out of their minds if they think Black Mirror hasn't been as good this season, if you ask me I think they just hate the lgbtq aspects of Striking Vipers and/or Miley Cyrus and are couching that behind "they've run out of ideas." There have been far worse episodes in previous seasons that were just passable and you just dealt with them because for Seasons 3 and 4 there were 6 episodes each. People don't realize that Bandersnatch was actually part of season 5 and just released early which means we actually got 5 and 1/2 hrs of content this season. Nearly all of it up to Black Mirror quality.
There was no dread, no shock, no fear, no intense revelations. When the episodes ended in previous seasons you always felt uneasy about the outcome and unsure about the future. I didn't like this season at all, because i loved the previous ones. And it has nothing to do with LGBT anything. Thats just a silly thing to say. It just wasn't remotely similar in feeling to previous episodes.
Literally no one has said anything bad about the gay thing in Striking Vipers, if anything most people are upset that they didn't make the characters fully gay/bi or that they didn't explore the possibility of that guy being trans when he mentioned how he felt being in a woman's body. Some things are not that deep, the season was just underwhelming, there wasn't a single memorable episode.
more cowbell i completely agree, most black mirror episodes i leave questioning society and feeling disturbed and this season and some other episodes in other series including fan favourite san junipero failed to have this impact. i had to watch shut up and dance twice in one day because it fucked me up so bad and that’s why i appreciate the show so much. it’s a shame it’s taken a more lighthearted approach as i believe it now completely lacks substance. i must say though i will credit the concept of smithereens, the message conveyed in it was eye opening and adopted the black mirror premise.
BIGGEST EASTEREGG: How about Ashley Os reaction on seeing the car with 'mouse ears' for the first time. She clearly reacts badly, and wants to go nowhere near it. This makes the viewer think about Ashley O/Hannah Montana parallels for Cyrus, the mouse ears being an obvious reference to Disney. In fact if you watch this whole episode with that in mind, it really has another level.
I felt that Black Mirror hasn't been anywhere near as good, post Season 4. Bandersnatch was boring and much of Season 5 was too. I don't know what's to blame, the writers or show-runners, but I don't really like their new direction.
I agree.. Seasons 1-4 were very dark where the main characters were often the bad guys and there were no winners in the stories. This new season, while still ok, has a smiley face on the main screen. To me that's fitting with the not so dark, mostly happy endings of these 3 episodes. If these episodes had been in earlier seasons every main character would have died.
The song is in A LOT of the episodes, Black Museum is an awesome place for Easter eggs and Waldo speaks in the Hated in the Nation episode in the background after the third death and it’s announced. Or it SOUNDS exactly like Waldo.
I thought the first episode was gonna be a lot darker. For a second there we had the potential for an accidental molestation, and as f*cked up as that would be, it would have fit into the darker tones of the earlier episodes a lot more.
Very short moment but while the news is playing the clip about Ashley O slipping into a coma, the exact moment they are realizing she is still making music in her dreams, she's singing the song Abi sang ( "Anyone who knows what love is") from Fifteen Million Merits.
Flicks And The City So I found this on reddit, and it makes so much sense - “we as fans have constructed in our minds what a Black Mirror episode should be and what formula should be used. This formula obviously has done well for all that’s involved as it sells itself to us as a target audience. This is not any different at all from Ashley’s pop persona and Disney’s formula itself. Those things sell to that targeted audience, but unfortunately at the cost of the freedom to the celebrities involved. I’ve read comments about how the first half of the episode felt like Black Mirror and then derailed into the cliche Disney-esque theme. This could directly correlate to the transitions that Ashley goes through. I’m not sure what this means to Brooker himself personally. It could be hinting that Netflix is trying to dictate his style - or even Black Mirror fans themselves. But I do think that the negative reviews about this episode are exactly the point of the episode. Entertainment is about following a formula which sells to that audience, changing this up sparks a lot of resistance which ultimately limits the creativity of the people involved.”
Yeah I mean Black Mirror is supposed to be challenging, and it definitely shouldn't always follow the same pattern. Personally i quite enjoyed the episode!
I'm not ready to buy into this theory wholeheartedly, but if you need more evidence, I think the last line (the aunt's fourth wall-breaking "Oh fuck it.") might be indicative of Brooker's intention.
But then, who knows which of the episodes take place in reality and which in virtual simulations of it? The creators tying everything together like this makes me headcanon that it's all in the same universe, but not necessarily all in the outside world. Some episodes - Metalhead for instance - could quite easily take place in a virtual world
Great video! Really enjoyed how you managed to connect so many episodes in the same shared universe. However, just for like many other fans, an inevitable question came after watching this: what about the timeline? So could you please please please do a video that lays out this BM shared universe, with all the stories in chronological order? I think it would really help prove your theory! Also, the easter egg that I saw missing is the teddy bears! They are a key part of one of the stories of Black Museum and Metalhead :)
or how the references to Ashley O's aunt forcing her to not be herself are very simliar to how Miley probably experienced life while working with Disney. Like she was so afraid to go with the sisters in the "Mouse" truck.
A reference to TRON and TRON Legacy: The building at the end of the Ashley Too episode, that Ashley gives concert, is way too similar to Sam Flynn's arcade building in TRON and TRON Legacy, and titled BOB'S instead of FLYNN'S.
"Fear of Change" - The 5th Season of "Black Mirror" did not seem like "Traditional Black Mirror". If you rate it against itself and other seasons, this season will be looked down upon, if you judge it on it's own merit it will not. The Writer and Show-Runner opened it up a little bit and while the so called "fans" of Black Mirror may be upset. I think people who check it out for the first time will be drawn to the darker episodes of earlier. This season is almost what I would refer to as a "palate cleanser", something to give us all a different perspective/view of watching this show.
Tazmon Sims I don’t think people should be upset with what they got and instead should be happy that loads of effort and hard work was put into this season to craft what we got and instead of being ungrateful we should see it for how good it is. I thought this season was really good
It fits in really well with the burning down of Black Hotel as well. It's like Nish just said 'no more' and since, the episodes have been different, with lighter endings a lot of the time.
Why did they reference Rolo Haynes death and Tusk being on a TV at the same time period? Tusk died in Hated In The Nation and one of the bees from that episode is found in Black Museum
In Season 4 final, in the Black Museum there is a tablet that used in Season 4’s first chapter. ( Parents used to track their kids location from that tablet.)
cvramelflvr So my own personal theory is that the main character in Bandersnatch is a cookie being tortured in a digital hell. Basically another version of White Bear further into the future, but instead of following the victim around, the audience watches them on Netflix and participates in the tourture. This is supported by the fact that the White Bear and Bandersnatch logos are the same.
Another easter egg. In the Rachel, Jack, and Ashley Too episode: when Jack and Rachel drive up to Ashley’s house in their dad’s mouse car there is a phone number written on the back. “1 (800) GO-MOUSE” [1 (800) 466 - 6873]. When this number is called it connects to a phone s*x line where you can be connected to speak with either men or women....not sure if this is a number for black mirror or an actual phone s*x line.
Doesn't make sense: So Hated in the Nation has exactly the same TV interview as in Ashley Too, but Ashley Too is an early example of the tech outlawed in Hated in the Nation... and how Ashley Too takes place after Black Museum I have no idea. Just shows they put stuff in without really thinking about it.
Emilie Anne Verhaegen Cookies are the biggest means to place black mirror on a timeline. Here is a video that breaks it down. ruclips.net/video/P46ro0f-lUA/видео.html
One easter egg messed up the flawless universe for me. It says in the news ticker that the girl from Crocodile was arrested AND that the museum owner were found dead. But the museum has the tub from Crocodile so it makes no sense.
Is it weird how on the phone in smithereens you had mentioned Bing from 15 Million Merits but the first contact name on there was ABI KHAN! Pause it at 11:27 if you don't believe. Oh and also Kenny from Shut Up and Dance.

They've already said that doing bandersnatch and season 5 at the same time was a massive strain on their team, which probably ended up making the season worse
You missed a nod to pre Black Mirror creator Charlie Brooker with a copy of Sugar Ape magazine, which was of course heavily featured in Nathan Barley.
So surprised so few others have noticed this, as I thought it was one of the cleverest easter eggs of the season.
Been looking for this comment. For true hardcore Brooker/Morris fans. Would’ve loved it if they used the sugaRAPE logo instead haha
Ep 3 it was funny it was sad too some how i felted its related to MJ how he died and how they created holographic dance of MJ and many other thingz too. is this only me or u ppl also felted d same?
Yeah, they had hologram concerts for Amy Winehouse too. So weird and gross. I think the show was definitely referencing these posthumous concerts.
Yes, I bet some sick manager is thinking what if..
There has been several musicians to be shown in holographic or video form in concerts to replace them on stage because they couldn't be there.
It's done with comedians too.
Plus, Michael Jackson was murdered. Many people think there was AEG and SONY behind the murder. To exploit his money and catalogue. He was left heavily sedated - Murray killed him with drugs.
The Ashley o episode definitely reminds me of jem and the holograms the cartoon
Striking Vipers was a really touching episode to me. 2nd best episode from Black Mirror for me.
I was not expecting that ending. Loves it
the storylines this season were interesting but lacked the anxiety i seek in and existed in all the other black mirror seasons. need more episodes about the dark effects of technology!
You missed Abi Khan on the exec's contacts
And Blu Coulson
Also Nosedyve, Bandersnatch and Metal Hedd are all Tuckersoft games or videos....yet they are also episodes in and of themselves in the Black mirror universe. Does this mean that Tuckersoft could be an A.I. system that has been developing alongside humanity and producing these sort of test-scenarios to see how humanity would react before it finally strikes?
I LOVE Black Horror and your video made it even MORE enjoyable. Thanks
The Ashley O song has the same melody as "Head Like a Hole" by NIN. Then she covers it at the end of the episode. May not be an Easter egg but I thought it was cool
More names in the contacts: Naomi, daly, nanette, nate packer, abi kahn, ian rannoch, kenny, martha
Terrific work! Thanks from a new great fan of the serie... This make yourself enjoy more the episodes, even when they aren't clearly connected, it's simply cool how they effort on the details just to entretaint the fans.
I don't know guys.... Season 5 does not have the same level as the others. Only chapter 2 is at level, but not impresive, like others.
The song "knows what love is" is in all the episodes. Or almost all.
My favorite episode has to be "Rachel, Jack and Ashley Too " I love Striking Vipers and a few others are quite amazing! Love Black Mirror!
@@rubyx4630 smithereens is the only one I haven't watched yet. I will eventually, the other two just kinda killed my black mirror buzz lol.
I say Tucker instead of TCKR 😆 Because San Junipero
What about Ashley O on the cover of "Sugarape" magazine?
BIGGEST EASTEREGG: How about Ashley Os reaction on seeing the car with 'mouse ears' for the first time. She clearly reacts badly, and wants to go nowhere near it. This makes the viewer think about Ashley O/Hannah Montana parallels for Cyrus, the mouse ears being an obvious reference to Disney. In fact if you watch this whole episode with that in mind, it really has another level.
Chris Thornborrow Nice insight!
Kudos to the writers for the connection of the Black Mirror universe. Bigger kudos to everyone noticed these minute details 🤯🤯🤯🤯
Yesss I already guessed it was a reference from ten million merits
Also the mention of Tusk in Miley’s episode, who was someone who got murdered in Hated in the Nation
You missed the poster behind Catherine's desk in Episode 3. But you have to be a proper Charlie Brooker fan to get it, it's totally Mexico.
Keep it foolish.
I felt that Black Mirror hasn't been anywhere near as good, post Season 4. Bandersnatch was boring and much of Season 5 was too. I don't know what's to blame, the writers or show-runners, but I don't really like their new direction.
I feel the same way too. though bandersnatch i think was still ok because of the choose-your-own-ending stuff which is unique
Marcia Laboo I liked black mirror because of the dark element and I like to think a lot of other people do too. Losing that losing fans
I assume its getting less dark as Brooker has had a kid since he started writing the show and thats probably mellowed him out a bit.
Code: Marla that’s unfortunate. I’ll wait for season 6 and constantly rewatch episodes (USS CALISTER!) but just got to hope
The song is in A LOT of the episodes, Black Museum is an awesome place for Easter eggs and Waldo speaks in the Hated in the Nation episode in the background after the third death and it’s announced. Or it SOUNDS exactly like Waldo.
When the Easter Eggs are more interesting than the storylines.
Forget what I missed, what season 5 missed is Black Mirror itself.
Gita Sapkota barely getting thru the second episode you couldn’t be more proper.
It was a terrible season can't believe Charlie Brooker wrote this
I thought the first episode was gonna be a lot darker. For a second there we had the potential for an accidental molestation, and as f*cked up as that would be, it would have fit into the darker tones of the earlier episodes a lot more.
Episode 3 was the best of this season I was so bored with smithereens
Have you guys noticed the robot dog from Metalhead episode on posters in Bandersnatch episode?
Anyone notice the Nathan Barley reference in episode 3? Ashley O on the front cover of SugarApe
The tech from striking vipers is very similar to USS callister
Because it's the same tech.
Very short moment but while the news is playing the clip about Ashley O slipping into a coma, the exact moment they are realizing she is still making music in her dreams, she's singing the song Abi sang ( "Anyone who knows what love is") from Fifteen Million Merits.
I think Ashley, Rachel and Jack was amazing, I have a theory for it so if anyone wants to hear it, just let me know
Would love to hear it!
Flicks And The City So I found this on reddit, and it makes so much sense
-
“we as fans have constructed in our minds what a Black Mirror episode should be and what formula should be used.
I thought it was referring to Katty perry with the pink hair and mk ultra but that's my mind wondering off lol
The point Black Mirror has been making since release is a Shared Universe.
@Ryno Art - All that is in one universe? That is a REALLY scary future!
But then, who knows which of the episodes take place in reality and which in virtual simulations of it? The creators tying everything together like this makes me headcanon that it's all in the same universe, but not necessarily all in the outside world. Some episodes - Metalhead for instance - could quite easily take place in a virtual world
I just realised Tuckersoft has a game called Metl Hedd. So, yeah XD
I love how it’s all connected
Great video! Really enjoyed how you managed to connect so many episodes in the same shared universe. However, just for like many other fans, an inevitable question came after watching this: what about the timeline? So could you please please please do a video that lays out this BM shared universe, with all the stories in chronological order? I think it would really help prove your theory! Also, the easter egg that I saw missing is the teddy bears! They are a key part of one of the stories of Black Museum and Metalhead :)
This video already did it, and they did it super well. Cookies are the grand unifier between all the stories. ruclips.net/video/P46ro0f-lUA/видео.html
That woman also had Abi Khan on her contacts list which is the girl from Fifteen Millions Merits
and Blu Coulson from Hated in the Nation
or how the references to Ashley O's aunt forcing her to not be herself are very simliar to how Miley probably experienced life while working with Disney. Like she was so afraid to go with the sisters in the "Mouse" truck.
Jared Marshall “oh hell no”
This video blew my mind. As much as black mirror does
A reference to TRON and TRON Legacy: The building at the end of the Ashley Too episode, that Ashley gives concert, is way too similar to Sam Flynn's arcade building in TRON and TRON Legacy, and titled BOB'S instead of FLYNN'S.
Striking Vipers X uses Street Fighter V's box style for wording and the game uses Street Fighter IV's sumi-e brushstrokes.
I really liked season 5
I absolutely loved this season
Avin Saraji why ? not attacking just interested ?
it was shit
"Fear of Change" -
The 5th Season of "Black Mirror" did not seem like "Traditional Black Mirror".
Tazmon Sims it’s refreshing not having to stay up drinking after watching an episode because of how traumatised you are aha
Tazmon Sims I don’t think people should be upset with what they got and instead should be happy that loads of effort and hard work was put into this season to craft what we got and instead of being ungrateful we should see it for how good it is. I thought this season was really good
Love season 5. The horror elements were my least favorite from black mirror.
The Sugar Ape magazine cover with Ashley O is a callback to Nathan Barley - the TV show written by Booker and Chris Morris.
Wow. I need to pay attention more.
You might of not noticed but yur brain did
impossible to pick all this stuff up from one viewing
Sea of Tranquility is also a reference to Nosedive. Bryce Dallas Howard’s character hitched a ride with people going to a SoT convention.
She mentions that in this video.
Dragon Ball University That’s in the video
the song is also sang in the episode Men against fire and in the entire history of you- the karaoke song
A true black mirror connoisseur
I feel like tckr is also linked to bandersnatchs' Tuckersoft
They mentioned that
cvramelflvr So my own personal theory is that the main character in Bandersnatch is a cookie being tortured in a digital hell. Basically another version of White Bear further into the future, but instead of following the victim around, the audience watches them on Netflix and participates in the tourture. This is supported by the fact that the White Bear and Bandersnatch logos are the same.
Ashley's aunt opens the Smithereens app while in the car after they unveil the toy
The app driver's car in the episode 02 is the same that appears in the episode one, when the girl calls a app driver after she came out the bar.
Thanks for this video! I love black mirror.
Abi Khan from Fifteen Million Merits is also in the list of contacts in Smithereens!
Did anyone else catch that? Lol
Doesn't make sense:
So Hated in the Nation has exactly the same TV interview as in Ashley Too, but Ashley Too is an early example of the tech outlawed in Hated in the Nation... and how Ashley Too takes place after Black Museum I have no idea.
Just shows they put stuff in without really thinking about it.
What tech are you referring to?
@@emilieanneverhaegen The cookies
Emilie Anne Verhaegen Cookies are the biggest means to place black mirror on a timeline. Here is a video that breaks it down. ruclips.net/video/P46ro0f-lUA/видео.html
This is a beautiful video 🔥🔥⭐
One easter egg messed up the flawless universe for me. It says in the news ticker that the girl from Crocodile was arrested AND that the museum owner were found dead. But the museum has the tub from Crocodile so it makes no sense.
Yeah, this literally screwed the entire perfect timeline.
I caught number 11. I was so excited for some reason lol
Is it weird how on the phone in smithereens you had mentioned Bing from 15 Million Merits but the first contact name on there was ABI KHAN! Pause it at 11:27 if you don't believe. Oh and also Kenny from Shut Up and Dance.
Another Easter egg in the map on the phone is Huq's, a nod to Charlie Brookers wife Konnie Huq.
I Think Ashley O is Hanna Montana. Now thats an easter Egg
I mean duh ?
When they close the case in Rachel, Jack, and Ashley too when she's on the coma and it has the Seito gemu face on the inside
I’ve been arguing with my friend whether or not the scene at 0:27 and 0:32 are with green screened / chroma Keyed backgrounds
Wouldn't have even noticed if you hadn't said! But deffo could be.
you guys did your fucking research, that's for sure. great video, very impressive.
omg just give us a black mirror game
I saw Ashley O, I clicked !
Radiohead was playing on call waiting in Smithereens. Same song as in the ending of Shut up and dance.
i was waiting for this
Black Mirror’s concepts continue to blow my mind and spark questions oof
Great video!
Nice video. Though I have an issue with a lot of these points are just what if’s or maybe or could be.
The mind copy is also seeing in "USS Callister" episode.
