    This is so helpful for us just starting out & for hobby breeders trying not to spend a ton of money.
    I was looking at glass beverage cooler setups, but now that I know I can do this with one of the many coolers my husband has in the shed.. that’ll be my go-to to start!
    Thank you so much!

I was also told to run electrical tape over the cut end of the heat tape so you dont have exposed contacts on the unwired side of the heat tape. Again great video keep them comming.

  • @leejantze674
    @leejantze674 2 года назад +1

    The term you're looking for as to why to use water to retain the heat is specifc heat. It takes a lot of energy to change the temp of water 1 degree, so this is why is retains heat so well.

    • @varanidguy

      You either want to poke some very small ventilation holes in the containers the eggs are in, or once a week open them up and allow for some good gas exchange.

    @smalltowngeckos1315 3 года назад

    Question. Could you cut a chunk of the lid out, put plexiglass, seal it, and be able to watch the eggs without opening the lid often? would it still contain heat well or do you think it would be best to leave it alone? I plan on breeding this year and it may be a dumb question but I'm very curious!
