No, it’s just a really hard game to run. I have an RTX 3080 12 GB overclocked and at 4K without DLSS, I can’t even get 60 fps and the 3080 is about three times the power of a PS5 I’m impressed that even has high Fidelity at 30 FPS on console
Yes but i think that will be better ehen they will develop next gen only games. In xbox one games this feature sometimes bugs and make some crashes. On nintendo Switch it works better.
Game engine upgrades outpaced the console upgrade. The system is back to being underpowered like the ps4 with these next gen games. A $750 pro version is needed to realistically house a gpu capable enough.

Ofcourse no one covers the game months down the line. But miles moralis performance rt is even more refined now. This game is a linear with no ray tracing but it still can't lock to even 30 fps. It's all developer fault.
Not enough to save bad coding though. It keeps freezing up after level 4 . Sometimes up to 10 seconds. i am barely tolerating it because it is Gamepass and i didn't pay anything for it lol
Agreed man, everyone keeps pulling excuses for the Devs, like they own the damn company or something, we've seen performance RT patches games that look as good as this playing at 60fps+, it's this "its fine" attitude that compels Devs to get lazy, it needs to change!
40fps helps a lot tbh. it's way worse than 60 (i'm actually used to 120 now but okay), but at least it feels like halfway between 30 and 60, even though it's only third-way.

@RAve 30 FPS is the absolute minimum for gaming, not for comfortable gaming, but for gaming in general. This cannot be fine. This can be compared to cars. 30 FPS is like a Volkswagen Golf 1, 60 FPS is like a Golf 4, and 120 FPS is like a Golf 8. All these cars can drive, but they drive VERY differently and the comfort inside is also very different.

I play on Series X with my 8k Samsung neo qled 75 inch. It is a stunning and smooth game. PS5 on the other hand seems to struggle when it comes to high details and texture quality... 🤔
If you wanna know they are mainly the same compared to pc but if you do want to make use of that 8k display there is a game on Ps5 that renders at 8k even tho ps5 doesn't support it yet or you can get it on your Xbox but it doesn't render at 8k unfortunately
@@babalarassrah With VRR, it's really smooth but i understand that all people can't buy a TV with this features. People can't except having PC performance with ~500$ hardware. For this price, a SX have a very nice perfs/price ratio. The point is a steady framerate.

We. Need. A. Dynamic. 1080p - 1440p. Mode. On. Consoles. Period. Not optimizing for 60 fps gameplay is not an option. Have a fidelity mode for native 4k 30 fps and have a dynamic mode which targets 60 plus additionally enable VRR support such as in Ratchet and Clank.

The lighting look better only in one shown cut scene, beyond that it’s literally like-for-like.. you will get a quality experience regardless of which version you play.. if you have a pc, dlss is where you want to play.

Blame Ngreedya for that. They need to sell their brand new RTX4090 so their strategy is based upon paying a lot of money to most of the game studios to release some proposetly very demanding games in order to push the sell of their new gen graphic cards. Unfortunatly that has been a common practice on game industry for the past years. The console side is the most fragile.. I hope that that future releases could get more performance.
@@hugooliveira5578 actually I prefer 40fps/120hz modes most of the time even when there is a 60fps mode. Feels much smoother than 30fps but still with high fidelity. 40fps syncs evenly into 120hz refresh rate so it is quite a smooth experience.

Lmaoo am I the only one on a series s that hasn't had any issues. I've played on the x and seen the ps5 and I just got my series s recently(2 weeks ago). Could it be possible that the newer made series consoles are better than first release ones? I have no bugs, no tearing, no lag, lighting is perfect, xbox doesn't get hot at all, and no frame drops.. let me know if any of yous can relate to what I'm saying. I got my series s in December and I’ve had no issues with the game fully completed with no lag or tearing/bugs, got a little bit hot after like 12hr of constant playing with the game also pinned to quick resume but that’s expected with any console.
I got mine last year and everything runs perfect, constant 30 fps. Idk why people make that noise about it, its not like they are going to die if they play something on less than 60 fps lol

They've just went massive with environmental effects..and given its not a first twitch shooter or racing game it's not that important. It's more of a cinematic experience than a test of reflexes.
This game ran like ass on my Xbox Series X, constantly stuttering and now FPS despite using VRR too, I finished the game and also had these weird freeze, it was essentially a huge fps drop that would completely freeze the game for around five seconds before resuming, this happened three times throughout my playthrough.
I’m not complaining either way but bruh we have next gen consoles for a reason…it’s the year 2022. 30fps shouldn’t be a thing at all. At this point it should be 60 and up.

Trying to play this on PS5, but everytime I boot up the game the resolution drops to 1080p on my 4k TV. Very annoying and makes the picture look really blurry. Any ideas? I've been through all system settings and can't see any reason for it to do it
@UnEingespielt no tricks. it's rendering at 1440p then upscaled to 2160p. that's how basic upscaling works. the so called 'tricks' you mentioned is that it possibly uses a temporal technique, but the internal resolution is still 1440p.

Ive got this game for both next gen consoles but Playing this game on xbox series x fells like playing on xbox one x no controller haptic also 30fps 1440p & Loading screen on ps5 its different atleast playsation controller makes a change with haptic feedback and adaptive trigeers
u need some config tuning to run the game smoothly....i have done it and i could confess i can handle it at fix 60 fps with my 1660 ti at 1080p at ultra setting

Wow! The PS5 is running at 25 FPS?? I also noticed the game seems darker in some areas on PS5. Probably due to the way the systems handle colors and HDR!
25 is a drop not the average. Game ran more than 30fps average, there is a 40fps option with hdmi 2.1 on different consoles, but down the res to 1080p series x and 900p series s. Darker difference is from the capture or hdr setting on the console

Only the large development houses will truly optimise for a platform, it costs a lot. Consoles are great but underpowered Sony and MS always struggle to balance, affordability and graphical fidelity. Personally I'd rather have a more expensive console and FSR2
The game looks absolutely beautiful on the series X and for this type of game 30 frames is playable.... 60 is preferred of course and maybe they'll have a patch. Call of duty seems to run at 60 frames per second and up

It's not 120FPS, my capture card also says the same thing. I then went thru it frame by frame. Appears to be ~40FPS when your in 120 Hz Mode, 1080p resolution. Go play uncharted 4 from legacy of thieves collection in 120Hz mode and see the difference in smoothless of true 120FPS.

Had a quick go on this on the Series S. A little blurry but still very playable.
On my series x it aint mutch better. I regret buying it because both consoles are not good at all and cant handle all those crazy upcoming games

We. Need. A. Dynamic. 1080p - 1440p. Mode. On. Consoles. Period. Not optimizing for 60 fps gameplay is not an option. Have a fidelity mode for native 4k 30 fps and have a dynamic mode which targets 60 plus additionally enable VRR support such as in Ratchet and Clank.

Blame Ngreedya for that. They need to sell their brand new RTX4090 so their strategy is based upon paying a lot of money to most of the game studios to release some proposetly very demanding games in order to push the sell of their new gen graphic cards. Unfortunatly that has been a common practice on game industry for the past years. The console side is the most fragile.. I hope that that future releases could get more performance.

@@hugooliveira5578 actually I prefer 40fps/120hz modes most of the time even when there is a 60fps mode. Feels much smoother than 30fps but still with high fidelity. 40fps syncs evenly into 120hz refresh rate so it is quite a smooth experience.

Lmaoo am I the only one on a series s that hasn't had any issues. I've played on the x and seen the ps5 and I just got my series s recently(2 weeks ago). Could it be possible that the newer made series consoles are better than first release ones? I have no bugs, no tearing, no lag, lighting is perfect, xbox doesn't get hot at all, and no frame drops.. let me know if any of yous can relate to what I'm saying. My brother actually has a series s as well from release and mine seems to out perform his 💀
I got my series s in December and I’ve had no issues with the game fully completed with no lag or tearing/bugs, got a little bit hot after like 12hr of constant playing with the game also pinned to quick resume but that’s expected with any console.
I got mine last year and everything runs perfect, constant 30 fps. Idk why people make that noise about it, its not like they are going to die if they play something on less than 60 fps lol

This game ran like ass on my Xbox Series X, constantly stuttering and now FPS despite using VRR too, I finished the game and also had these weird freeze, it was essentially a huge fps drop that would completely freeze the game for around five seconds before resuming, this happened three times throughout my playthrough.

Trying to play this on PS5, but everytime I boot up the game the resolution drops to 1080p on my 4k TV. Very annoying and makes the picture look really blurry. Any ideas? I've been through all system settings and can't see any reason for it to do it

the so called 'tricks' you mentioned is that it possibly uses a temporal technique, but the internal resolution is still 1440p.

istg even my 3060 with DLSS cannot maintain stable 60fps on PC playing on medium settings 1080p, but either way i loved the game
u need some config tuning to run the game smoothly....i have done it and i could confess i can handle it at fix 60 fps with my 1660 ti at 1080p at ultra setting

It's not 120FPS, my capture card also says the same thing. I then went thru it frame by frame. Appears to be ~40FPS when your in 120 Hz Mode, 1080p resolution. Go play uncharted 4 from legacy of thieves collection in 120Hz mode and see the difference in smoothless of true 120FPS.
