As someone with BPD I was so incredibly happy when a character was diagnosed with BPD that wasn't a ruthless, abusive, manipulator for once. She was a real person who deserved compassion. It's so misunderstood, yet so common. That representation was so important.
maryfrancess93 When i learned that the character had BPD, i had the exact opposite reaction. :( The char felt so... extremely horrible and obsessive through the couple of first seasons (havent watched more because it started to get frustrating) that I felt down to be shown like that. Before she was just a quite funny but highly frustrating over the top char, so toxic for people around her and to her relationships that I could see her as a comic character, but then to link her to BPD... I felt like ”great, another horrible example for people who don’t know BPD any better”. I’m planning on watching more, in hope the char would evolve towards the more natural potrayment. Or maybe I cant feel the connection because the cultural differences? For what i saw was ruthless, abusive and manipulating act, just like before?
@@Boxofcare666 no, you're right. A lot of the time I do watch the show and think about all of the mistakes she's making, and how unhealthy most of these relationships are; but what I like about the show is that every character is deeply flawed, but still goes through character development and is a real person rather than seeming like they're being written by a college kid with a half assed minor is psych.
maryfrancess93 My question is why are Valencia and Rebecca friends? She and Josh were awful to Valencia. Plus Paula put a tracker in her arm and faced no consequences for her stalking at ALL.
I'm unsure why this happens, but each time I rewatch this clip (which I also saw when it was on the CW concert and luckily enough live at Radio City), I start CRYING when Michael Hyatt interrupts and sings "you kind of can!"...and seeing the genuine delight in Rachel's face when Michael says "because you wrote it". A Diagnosis is one of the most heartfelt and beautiful songs of the show. Ugh I've been listening to nothing but the CXG soundtrack since the show ended. This performance was amazing!!!!!!!
I know that Donna has a fantastic voice but we should appreciate Rachel's voice too! This song could easily be the 11 o clock song if this is a real musical.

I obsess over "Antidepressants" in the concert, because 7 of the cast had to learn it for the first time (compared to the original chorus). I watch one dancer at a time all through the tap sequence, then rewind (dozens of times by now. Obviously Rachel is down center, and the four experienced theater tappers are fronting behind her (VR3, Gabrielle, DLC, David H). And the 3 who are keeping up with them in the back row turn out to be Esther (dance major in college), Clark Moore (I guess those Dartmouth Aires moves served as training), and SMF (maybe that summer experience working theme parks prepared him?). Clearly I've thought way too much about this, but as Michael Hyatt says, they're fabulous.
Actually, the dance is pretty simple. Most of the moves they did are basic Tap Moves, as long as no one had two left feet, like me, it probably would have only taken an hour or two to learn.
I always wondered why Skylar Astin ducks out for the tapping...I figured he'd be a skilled enough mover to learn how to tap for this, but maybe there wasn't enough time?
Hardly can believe almost 10 years passed (well, 8-9 actually), since I first watched "Fuck Me, Ray Bradbury" by Rachel. That was the starts of it. And now such concerts. Congratulations. Bravo.
