Great review! Absolutely agree that the I-Pace is a seriously good EV that's totally overlooked because of the relatively slow charging speed and moderate driving range. But charging and range aren't an issue unless you drive over 200 miles daily. It rides like butter - and the looks, build/material quality and acceleration are awesome. Very happy I-Pace owner here as well!
Nice to see your real genuine enthusiasm about driving the i-pace and how much you enjoy the ride and the all round experience it gives. Seat colour looks fab too. If you do a follow up video can you comment on the sound system and show trunk space plus any other upsides/downsides? Thanks.
I’m looking to buy the same at 55k miles. Did the dealer give you any report on battery wear and tear? Great video. Enjoyed it. Incredible value in the uk now.
@@nikolajovicic174 Nope it's actually a really great EV from everything I've read. Only issue some had was an AC malfunction, but battery performance is great and no dead battery complaints. I'm planning on getting one in a couple of months. I think people are just nervous generally about used EVs, but this one seems like it's standing the test of time.
@@Freerider93 Thanks. What worries me is that the 2018 year models are dirt cheap in EU, however the 2020 models are 50% more expensive. Made me think there is something wrong with the first release models. I heard that some power modules are making the car suddenly stop functioning and needs to be towed in these early released models, as well as the windshield leaks letting the water flood the cabin. Those were the common recalls, but hopefully the first buyers already dealt with that.
I got an amazing deal on a 2019 I-Pace about three months ago. The car only had 7,000 miles, but was over four years old. The dealer was asking for only $35,000--about half the price of the car new. I could only find a single scratch on it. What was I missing?!?!? It turned out I was missing nothing--they just depreciated that fast. I am not a luxury car or sports car kind of guy, but I couldn't find a reason NOT to buy the thing. After putting almost 4,000 miles on it, I still love the car, but I'll confess that the low charge rate and low efficiency (in miles per kilowatt hour) are disappointing. But, the 240-mile range and other goodies represent a huge upgrade from the Ford Focus EV that I bought in 2014 that had no fast charge capability and a range of only 65 miles.
@@Freerider93 - I haven't kept track of that specific range. I have charged from about 10 or 15 percent to about 95 percent in about 1-1/2 hours, if memory serves. That's not breaking charging speed records, for sure, but it was cold weather.
I paid a lot more than you did for my 2020, but it had less than 6,000 miles on it. It is an SE so it does not have the adaptive cruise with steering (however it does have just adaptive). There were $13,000 in options. Just missing the ACC with Steering, 360 degree camera, and the activity key. It seems to have everything else.
Had the Waymo whisk me around …. I was like wait THIS Is An Ipace ? was so upscale feeling ! Made me remember the launch of the ipace and how I thought it would be great
Great video! I'm currently looking for an HSE with similar configuration and 46.000 miles for 38.000 USD (white exterior with sport seats in tan, extended leather, alcantara...). You don't mention the sound system, is it good? Supposedly HSE trim comes with a 800W system. And I've been told by the dealer that maintenance is ridiculous compared to ICE cars, literally only break fluid and air filter every 2 years. Can't wait to have it!
Great review! How does the main screen perform using android auto, is it still laggy? Got my eye on ones of these on a 19/20 plate. About 26k for se in uk.
Had one too and somehow also miss it. But its consumption is crazy high compared to my Model Y and I would probably miss several things of the Tesla universe when changing back. The comfort part though is clearly won by the Jag and if I would ever buy one again it would be mainly because of that. Also the possibility to change the ride height is very cool. Great car and well built (in Austria)
Is the exterior color grey? If so this is the exact spec I’ve been looking for HSE with the brown sports seats, black headliner😭😁and maybe 4 zone climate control. Hopefully I have the funds available when you’re done with it 😅….I completely forgot these existed until last year and I’ve been obsessing over getting one of these unique EV jags as they’ve come down in price. Amazing review!!!
Great video, you did an excellent job of conveying the best thing about owning one … they make you smile. So much fun to drive and it just feels so good sitting in the drivers seat. It was definitely ahead of its time, four years on it still looks and feels like a new car. In New Zealand we’re incentivised with 1% interest loans for EVs and we have power plans that let you charge for free so it’s a no brainer financially when purchasing pre-owned.
Hello, so any updates after nearly a year of ownership? I've been looking at these. Any major issues? If you still have it can you at least do a walkaround showing what it looks like from outside 😂 Thanks!
I just sold my Kia EV6 to get a fully loaded E-Tron 55 Launch Edition with all the options ticked and like the Jag it is great value for money, a near £90k car back in 2020 was not under £38k! with only 25,000 miles driven making it cheaper than the Kia with huge amounts of spec over the Kia and serious quality and speed upgrade. The Kia interior was soooooo fragile! quality was nice but very soft plastics.
I've got one...I love it. The only 'affordable' EV that I'd spend my own hard earned cash on, as a bargain second hand buy. At the minute, it's even better...UK Jag dealers are selling NEW delivery mileage HSE models for about £40,000.....that's half list price!!!! Only buy the HSE....great heated/cooled super adjustable seats with nice leather, heated steering wheel, glass roof, HUD, great sound system, 360 parking camera, big wheels, etc. Forget the slow charging speed....who the fuck can afford to run an EV charging out on the network anyway???? You slow charge at home, at night, for peanuts.
You have no clue what you are talking about at all. Sorry. I bern driving 13 different models of this car since 2018 with inbetween electric SUV's from different brands, but not many of them could top the Jaguar I Pace from many angles and performance.
Love the i-pace - however the pathetic charge rate and deleting of features in New updates drives me batty. Jaguar is run by idiots is my conclusion - likely to leave mine
@Yeahyeah-ic8xm i purchased traffic/weather/news for 3 yrs... worked for about 3 months when jaguar removed due to their inability to overcome bugs - and simply began placing the land rover system in next year's models. Class action lawsuit is currently going on this issue, amongst others.

Yeah, this and the Audi E-tron (the bigger one, not the newer Q4 that's just an upjumped ID.4) depreciate like crazy.
How does the 2019 model compare to the 2021 model. What's the best trim to buy? is HSE worth the additional cost? thank you
