- After a short break from the calendar in 2022, the Lusail International Circuit is back for 2023! Ahead of race weekend, we got our F1 Esports driver Jake Benham to give us a tour of the circuit on F1 23, and give us the inside scoop on what to expect from the track layout in Qatar.

I remember Hamilton’s pole lap here with 4 corners in succession in 7th gear. That was something special.

There was nothing illegal about that car. Fitting a fresh engine and serving the penalty for it is completely legal.
RB did run some illegal flexi wings during the first half of the season though. Looks like you conveniently forgot about all that.

Sim makes it look a lot slower than it actually is. THe onoard of Lewi's pole in 2021 is unreal.

The most important thing is to prepare well using the Einhell Air Gun, its brisk warm breeze gets u into a championship winning mood immediately, first thing Lewis does when he gets up is grab his Einhell and blow air down his pants.

Exceeding track limits
Why is your monitor so high up? Is this a normal position for sim racers?
It depends on a few things. Some monitor mounts aren't much flexible so you only have one mounting position. His cockpit is an F1 cockpit which is a laying down seating position, much like an F1 driver, so you kinda get even lower than if you were driving on a normal sim cockpit. That's mostly why he's looking up. You will see this in many E-Sports drivers mostly because of the seating position.
I have the same cockpit and the wheel base I have occupies a big amount of space in front o me, if the screen would be on the normal position the base would cover like 25% of my screen so I have to have the screens higher. A bit less than him though.

Perhaps the worst development was the ridiculous paddle shifting. Now this computer dreck. Drivers once drove for the true passion of wanting to drive fast. Piloting machines that in many years ended talented drivers lives.

This place and this circuit is Exhibit A to counter everyone complaining about Vegas having a race.

F1 has already become far too americanised. That's why I don't want more American teams or races.

This period will be reflected on in the future as a time when formula 1 sold its soul to netflix and the gaudy yank audience.
F1 will eventually return to its core English and Italian roots but there are many years of cringeworthy adaptations to come before that happens.
Qatar is irrelevant to the subject. Its at least a decent circuit, unlike Las Vegas, which is a joke of a circuit.
@@procatprocat9647 I have lately been watching past seasons on F1 TV, and one of the biggest differences from 10 years ago to now isn't the halo or the lotus, it's the vast swaths of empty seats.
F1 is growing everywhere, including England and Italy. No place has empty seats anymore. The sport isn't hoping that teams won't fold. Ratings are up everywhere. Access to the broadcasts is easier. Coverage is worldwide.
Again, you cite your anti-americanism as though it were some sort of fact, but the sport has had nothing close to a cheapening. It is more in demand than it ever has been.
STOP adding music to car videos! I never understand why this happens. We want to listen to the car, the instructions from the driver ... NOT some weird music that worse still, doesn't even fit the material ...
