Veer Zaara is the only album made in the last 20 years where you can find every genre of music being used from hindustani classical to western, folk, ballad and a very good combination of modern and traditional music instruments. All songs are made with lots of emotions. Tere liye, Do Pal, Main Yahaan hoon yahan, Yeh hum aa gaye hai Kahan are always in my playlists.
One fact: The music of Tere Liye was originally composed for Dil Dhoondhta Hai (from Mausam). Gulzar picked the other tune from Madan Mohan ji and this tune was waiting to be used in Veer Zaara.
Veer Zaara is essentially made for multiple generations. A veteran director known for his revolutionary style of filmmaking , a prolific actor known for his acting prowess, a story that is timeless and an album that transcends genres with each and every song. It is culmination of multi-generational efforts. i have never watched this movie but the songs tugs my heartstring every time even at slight mention of this album. P.S: It is pure magic everytime SRK worked with Yashraj.
Just re-watched this movie just a few days back. One of the most memorable movies of my childhood. Our whole family used to watch a bollywood movie on dvd, together on hoildays. What a movie and such beautiful songs. Sonu Nigam became my favourite after this. Thankyou so much for this amazing video.❤
The album Veer Zaara is so beautifully composed that one can easily say that this was made in such a way that even the teenagers, children or adults whole of the community could love it equally, I meant to say that this happens sometimes when we are kids or in our early age we don't understand the beauty of old songs maybe because it doesn't belong to off era but this album was created with such a way by Madan Mohan Malviya Ji then rearranged by his son that it would deserve all the love.
Thank You so much Sangeetarist for reviewing this evergreen beautiful classic album. This is one of the most requested albums that I really wanted you to review. Veer Zaara album is a gem in the Indian film history and the movie has one of the greatest music albums ever in the history of Indian music and it was definitely 2000s decade best ever music album, this whole album is full of love 💞💞 such a Soulful memorable melodious piece of musical art and its songs will forever remain in my heart ❤️
Veer Zaara was the favorite album of my entire family when it was released. Including my pet cat 🐈 sometimes he used to go and hide on terrace to sleep, and wouldn't come down until hungry or just wanting to have fun. So we'd play Veer Zaara songs on tape recorder. And within few seconds he'd come running and sit on someone's lap and snuggle. Veer Zaara songs were like a lullaby to him perhaps. So that's real music... touches souls... even of animals ❤
Bruh i watched it in 2021. And i consider myself a stoic guy, but there are literally scenes in the movie which are so beautifully crafted it will make you bawl your eyes out.
Kyon Hawa & Do Pal is my favourite from VeerZara. Sung beautifully by Lataji & Sonu Nigam.❤ Sonu Nigam sounds so soothing in Kyon Hawa, the voice quality of Sonu Nigam in Kyon Hawa song is unreal. Peak Sonu Nigam.❤
In Veer Zaara, the melodies aren't mere notes; they are delicate brushstrokes on the canvas of the narrative, each song painting a vivid story of its own, rendering it an artistic masterpiece.
Veer Zara album is like my nostalgia hitting in the most possible way. It was that time, when as a growing teenager, this album taught me maturity, sincerity, raaga, power of classical music, melodies and emotions..... Love Veer Zara with my fullest heart ❤❤❤❤❤❤❤ And Sangeetarist, really thank you for recognising such a gem of an album in today's materialistic and degrading music era...... Thank you 👍👍👍
Aaya tere dar par Deewana is a masterpiece, the purity, the feeling, the passion and the commitment witnessed in the qawali unique and rare. Similarly Kyu Hawa is just legendary which Yash ji just made the song simply unforgettable. He and Sonu Nigam are the stepping stone of the blockbuster Veer Zara. Imagine the start of the music with this song, you are mesmerized and set for the entire movie.
Whenever i feel sad , i always listen to Veer zara music like literally i can hear ye hum aagye hai Kahaa n ye hawa aj kyu gaa rahi hai for 50 times a day . Its my all time fav . Nothing can beat Veer Zara’s music . ts incredibly beautiful by madan mohan . ❤❤❤❤
Veer Zaara whole album is filled with soulful melodies, a good variety of beautiful, tuneful Happy and Sad Tracks, To its Poetry, Qawaali, Nice Joyful Track, To Some Underrated Wonderful Songs. This album is divine and milestone in the Indian music industry, it's sound arrangement and instruments were ahead at the time a 2000s movie, this films music album has such clear good sound arrangement and its composition, lyrics, melody is so top notch, Hats Of To Original Music composer Late Great Madan Mohan whose unused tracks were later re recreated by Sanjeev Kohli and his music perfectly is a winner in ever music department. 👌👌❤️❤️👌
For those who have the music cd ( I have them) its a 2 disc album the one with OST and the other with the making of the songs, the tune used, In Madanjis voice..nostalgia, timeless!! Truly.
Bhai I don't have words to express how happy I am . It's close to two decades old album which was composed half a century back. Yash Raj ji was a gem of a person.
I came across a reel today about Veer Zara and I started watching the movie spontaneously, and now you've uploaded this! I love this album to pieces, truly a timeless masterpiece. Also, I loved your video, the details you covered, and the description!
Veer Zaara is the Gold standard of Hindi music. Till date I have not heard of an album that gives you Goosebumps during most of it's songs. What a composition, lyrics, music, just pure magic. I'm still waiting for an album to top it but I don't think it will happen in our lifetime, Aashiqui 2 album was the closest it ever got.
I think AR Rahman's Roja is the best album of all time. But since it's originally not from the Hindi film industry, we can consider Veer-Zaara. Personally, I was 13 when it came out, and it actually made me feel love for the first time. I remember I literally used to feel a slight pain in my chest when "Kyun hawa aaj yun gaa rahi hai" used to play! And from that to when "Aya tere dar par diwana" felt so daring! This album makes me feel that teenage love is the purest of all romantic loves, even now! I still listen to most of the songs, and they still are my favourites. ❤
Most special Bollywood album ever. 🤍 The story behind the composition, the movie, Madam Mohan ji, Lata ji and other singers. Everything was perfect. 😍 Nothing else came close, nothing ever will.
Veer Zara all songs have been in my playlist since forever. But the songs that hasn’t been featured in the movie “ Tum Paas Aa Rahe Ho” sung by Lata Mangeshkar and Jagjit Singh and “ Jaane Kyun” by Lata Mangeshkar has been my favourites from the album.
Thanks for making this video, bro..! This album deserves a lot more attention and its due appreciation. What a masterpiece! Never gets old! A much awaited tribute!
For me this album is serene something that cannot be described in words. Ye hum a gaye hai kaha and mai yaha hu are my absolute favourite. Aya tere dar par deewana is also one of its kind.
Actually. The music given by the legendary Madan Mohan sahab were...so literally...well ahead of his own times. My god. Now show me a man who says old music is taste of old audience...my foot.😅 Hat's off to that legend.
That vocal trill would have been a piece of cake for Lata Mangeshkar (Asha Bhonsle recently demo'ed it in her late 80s at a reality show). Vocally, both sisters were just endlessly gifted. Her songs from the 50s and 60s, you really have to slow the track down to even realise what she is doing. just ultra-fast mini taans. songs like Meghva gagan beech jhanke or even manmohna bade jhoothe or ja ja re ja balmwa. she was just music incarnate.
No , Lata Mangeshkar ji was 76 year old miracle ( a lady almost 80) while Singing in this Album 🙏🏻💜💜.........When u hear such Albums you clearly refuse to call today's singers Legends 🙂
Lata was sounding worst .. She was legendary no doubt but Lata could have say No for veer zara as Alka Yagnik was there.. Alka could have been Right choice.. Best suited voice for Rani and Preity
There's a single moment in this album that I can pinpoint which opened my ears to the subtle details of music arrangement as a child. In the song kyon hawa, there's a line "kaisi yeh aahatein aa rahi hain" and you can hear a very subtle payal sound there. When I first noticed this as a kid it blew my mind. 😃
You forgot to mention the background score which was equally good in the movie. And those two songs which were not filmed in the movie, their music was present in the background score. There is one background score when zara was about to leave veer's place and veer's mother came to talk to zara .. the background score at that point is just incomparable. Best of the best composition ever. Hats off to the creator. All legends worked together for this. 🙏

Lata actually sound worst here…
