I love the 'Dichotomy of Fame' song so much man. It perfectly shows the transition of Jordan from just a singer to a 'Rockstar' he becomes a musician from just being a kid with a guitar.

Arijit sings almost the same songs. Overrated too
Hawa hawa, out of the whole album, is the most instrumentally rich and complex of all songs. I personally feel, comparing all songs together, the singing style in haawa haawa, the poetic lyrics relevant with the movie plot, and the grand instrumentation of the song makes this song the best and the hardest song of the album🥵.

The most incredible factor about this album is all parts of Jordon in any song is sung by Mohit Chauhan. Most of the time when a singer is shown in a movie that character has different voices for different songs as the songs are sung by different singers
Dil se for me is AR Rahman's best album.

Sonu's one of best song- Satrangi
Sukhwinder singh's one of the best song - Chaiya chaiya
Udit Narayan one of the best song - Ae Ajnabi
Jiya Jale was also a masterpiece lyrics wise ,music wise
And the background song - Sitaron se aage Jahan aur v was such a haunting song the stays for long time in memories

The world was ready back then and as a result the album was hit.. This album and all songs were my all time favorite and many other youth ..
Aur Ho is the song from these album I explored in details years after the release. But mann! what a song. It is a masterful synthesis of: Aggregation, Love, Tenderness, Fear, Anger, Confusion, Pain, doubt, Doubt, Burning, Breathlessness. Everything a true lover might have felt.
And all rest of the songs are gem in their own way that so much could be said for each of them.
Music exists or may not exist anymore but the humbleness in Sir A.R. Rahman will always be. Such a Down to Earth man. #rockstARR

Bro also do analysis of 'Dil Bechara' album. I think it is one of the most underrated work of Rahman sir. The album is so musically rich. Especially the arrangement.

Tum ho song whenever I heard this song, i started crying . It's triggered my sad memerious. But I still love this song. This is one of the favourite song.

I was agreeing with everything you said, and then heard you saying kun faya kun is typical qawalli arrangement. I've never heard the guitar arpegios and chord progression in qawalli. Jordans stanza is introduced with an acoustic guitar in a qawaali which is an AR signature.
Btw, also shout out to Tango for Taj and Dichotomy of Fame. Both quite complex, emotional compositions and arrangements.

It is considered one of the best albums of ARR besides Roja, Bombay, Dil se, Rockstar. Please make a video on this album as this album is very underrated. In 1993, at the age of 26, Rahman gave that timeless album. This album has changed the music of India as it has a killer basslines, Rock elements, Acapella and many more. Every song of this album was hit. It's a request to make a video on this album.

Always felt we failed to celebrate Rockstar album. For me this is the best Bollywood album ever.
One of random fact, which most of the people dont know about is that the line in saada haq "o eco-friendly, nature ke rakshak, main bhi nature" are sung by ciliton cerejo. You can see in singer credits, ciliton's name is there.

One thing you notice is in the movie version the starting part of tum ho plays but it cuts to tum ko then it transitions back to tum ho from d major to f major ... damn what a beautiful transition

It's one of my favourite Albums Hindi me to defo top 5 but it was barely Rock and I wish ki ARR sir at least ek heavier aur harder song dete I know ki songs movie ke plot (folk prog) ke sath bahut ni jamti par ek to ban hi sakta tha and I know Mohit sir was well capable of doing the vocals too Sada Haqq is the proof ❤

you said about Kun faya kun starting, hook, interlude paras, but I think you also need to hear the ending of this song, when it ends on "sal allah hu ali..." and there was the base notes of piano in the background.
