ARR has been silently paying homage to the golden era of Hindi music, the 50s and 60s with Main Parvana and now Vida Karo. That was the first thing I noticed with Vida Karo-the strings and the emotion is so 60s and I’m so glad Imtiaz made that point. Hats off ARR, Arijit and Mohit. May the band stay united.

The story is little bit similar to the 2019 movie Yesterday, where audience forgot the music

Irshad Kamil sir speaks english like B SIngh sir, MD of NextIAS. Both are native hindi speakers but the way both of them speak english , is uncannily very similar! Their tone, cadence and pronunciation of words is really similar!

I heard about chamkila about 20 years ago in 2003 in Ireland from my really close friend who is from Lahore. He used to listen to a lot of underground Punjabi music. I didn't know the theth Punjabi that well back then being from delhi. But chamkila music felt like open and brave.
