This documentation is pretty out of date at this point. The Web Platform Installer is deprecated and manually setting up PHP is not exactly for the faint of heart.
Only mistake I saw and had to correct on my end was when you downloaded the php 7.3.8 you chose x64 version, i tried that and got an error so I downloaded and enabled the x32 version and that worked for me. Great video though.
Very Helpfull Video! But i just got one question. Why do we need to Install all the PHP Versions? Isn't the newest one enough? Thank you already for the answer!
My guess (I’m a python programmer so php isn’t my strongest subject) the latest version may not support some of the scripts, or certain packages aren’t included in newer versions.

I had migrated MySQL and web service to a new location, and suppose to be able to go newsite/scp/login.php, but it keep directing me to the install page (newsite/setup/install.php). Is there anyway to bypass install page? Thank you very much.

You probably installed it on a Linux web server. This tutorial is meant to show the process installing it on a Windows IIS server. There are a few web servers running on IIS. For the purpose of this tutorial she simply installed IIS on her Widnows PC. If it were actually a production server one would probably be logging into a server running Windows File Server and setting up a legit osTicket installation.

This error usually means that osTicket is having issues connecting to or finding your database. Make sure the database you're using in the installer has already been created as a blank database and that the credentials you are using for it are correct.

So how can you make this IIS server hosting osTicket available to a network/domain of users? I would love to make it so that my users simply need to type servicedesk.mydomain.com and boom, they can submit a ticket.
You would need to buy the domain you want to use and then create an A record pointing your server's IP to the domain you purchased. This would be something that you should be able to get more help on setting up from whoever you purchase your domain from.

Ok... Done. The Browser didnt get ist rigt. IE to Chrome fixes the Problem.

You're meant to make a copy of ost-configsample.php and then rename it to ost-config.php. Hope you figured it out.

why install an old version of mysql?
We've seen people run into some issues with the newer mysql versions with the encoding/collation of tables.
