@Raul Munoz Sorry for the late reply. You have to park in the community park and walk the path until you see a hole in the fence. The address of the park is: 300 Veterans Way, Warminster, PA 18974
Grew up in the small borough that is adjacent to what used to be the Naval Air Development Center. It was a testing and research facility for the Navy. Shenandoah Woods is where all the military folks on the base lived. When the military abandoned the site, the township turned the airbase (runways and all) into a large community park.
I remember hearing about all of this. From what I recall, the homes and many of the buildings in the Willow Grove Air Station were abandoned due to a chemical in a flame-retardant foam used to fight fires on the base. Apparently, ingesting this chemical puts those that get it into their system at a higher statistical likelihood for a myriad of health problems, not the least of which is cancer. It seeped into the soil & water supply and not just on the Base; it did this into the ground surrounding those homes that many people, that worked on the Base, lived in. Many people that worked on the base for decades have waged & been waging lawsuits against the military, the chemical company that designed the chemical and the foam for some years for their illnesses and the illnesses of members of their families. A lot of people were trying to prevent the Base from closing down before all that shit hit the fan... Yea, there's no way in hell that they'll save the Base now!
I live about 4 miles from there. As of 07/2023, most of these houses have been torn down, and the rest will be in the months to come. This housing project was used to house the military families assigned to the former Johnsville Naval Air And Development Station, which closed during the Clinton administration due to budget cuts. When the base closed, the houses were abandoned and deemed uninhabitable due to ground water contamination from the chemicals used as fire retardant to foam the runways during practice drills. Initially, all copper and wiring was removed to discourage squatting.
Last comment - what also makes this place different/strangely atmospheric is that the area it is located in is all built up and densely populated, then here is this huge chunk of desolate wasteland right in the middle of it. I think technically its still fed property and I imagine they cut the grass to manage pest control in the adjacent neighborhood/park. All that growth and shit left unchecked would certainly have an ecological effect. Contaminated soil too? forget it. lol
Really cool explore! The vandalism is insane! A shame that all these homes sit here to rot away because the land is contaminated and it wasn't up to code. Can you imagine playing hide and go seek here? My friends Jenn and Marcel mentioned you in the live stream last night ☺️🌲

The last building would have been the maintenance shop for the housing. Crazy how they just closed the doors and walked away, when so much could have been reused in other military housing
This development was part of Naval Air Development Center in Warminster, PA. When the Navy closed down the Center, so went the homes. After I got out of the Navy, I went backmto work for Bell of Pa., in Warminster. I helped pre wire these homes in 1974 for telephones. Sad to see this. This is still federal property.

And yes, I know we could get caught but all we were doing was taking a look so we were ok. Thanks for looking out for us! I'm from NY so I won't be going back there anyway.
I’m like genuinely pissed off that I grew up in warminster and lived like 10 minutes from this place for 19 years and had absolutely no idea it existed, I moved away about 10 years ago. I’m kinda glad I didn’t know it existed though because knowing me and my friends back in high school we would have been absolute animals in an abandoned town lol so it’s probly best I didn’t know about it. But seriously how didn’t I know about it lol
First off thank you to those who served. It's sad how little the military people are cared about. Contamination in the soil because they didn't properly dispose of things is uncalled for. To be fighting families law suits is even worse. They know they did wrong just pay the law suits.
I swear i thought I heard a little girl say something around 2:15, and then right after that you turned to the door like you heard something. I went back and listened several times and I didn't hear it again. Strange.
The government needs to tear these down. It seems like it was government fault for building on waste lands and poor building instillation. Sad. What a waste.
17:14 - I'm curious to know exactly what made you feel that something was "off" about that house. Someone graffitied "trap house" which you brushed off, and there was that squeaky garage entrance door. I've learned over the years that if your gut tells you that something's not right, then it most likely isn't. I'm wondering what horror or danger might have been lurking in that particular house.
How's getting in here? I thought there were security watching over the area a while go but recently I've seen a lot of people going here just fine, whats the new details?
Nah it's not being watched at all. The public park trail is right next to the place and I found a big hole cut in the fence so I just ran in. Some people saw me but they didn't seem to care.
That's a good point to be worried about my health, I do appreciate that. I will say the contamination was deep in the ground and it was in the water pipes. If it was going to be toxic to me, I wouldn't have gone.
What a waste of taxpayers money! The ground is polluted?? I bet the shit was already polluted but go ahead let service members live there typical government tactics along with public domain.. I served Semper Fi

Haha very good point! Yes this place has been sitting here doing nothing but being set on fire and vandalized it's so sad.
First off thank you to those who served. It's sad how little the military people are cared about. Contamination in the soil because they didn't properly dispose of things is uncalled for. To be fighting families law suits is even worse. They know they did wrong just pay the law suits.
I believe it was something with the water that got contaminated that forced everyone to leave.
Yea that's similar to what I heard to.
I swear i thought I heard a little girl say something around 2:15, and then right after that you turned to the door like you heard something. I went back and listened several times and I didn't hear it again. Strange.
heard something moving too lol! 👻
Wow, who knew graffiti could be so romantic.
They should fix up houses in abandoned neighborhoods and let homeless people, and families move into them.
The government needs to tear these down. It seems like it was government fault for building on waste lands and poor building instillation. Sad. What a waste.
nice continuous video bro thanks for sharing
I got caught by the police 2 days ago.
@@ajc414 oh shoot
Para Urbex which way did you go in?
@@rajk9992 the first hole on the fence that I saw
The land is supposed to be toxic thats why it isn't used as housing anymore.
Yes I know. Very sad.
My friend & I explored that abandoned location one time for fun😂😅
Me & my friends explored this the other day & i was amazed & scared of cops that never came 😂
whats the like address for the neighborhood?
I got to be your 1000th subscriber . 💜 much love
It was base housing I lived here. I got my leg stuck in the park equipment. We had to saw the bars open lmaoo
These guys may have just shortened their lives by breathing the contamination of this abandoned community.
That's a good point to be worried about my health, I do appreciate that. I will say the contamination was deep in the ground and it was in the water pipes. If it was going to be toxic to me, I wouldn't have gone.
there’s hidden cameras in the front and middle just letting u know.
Awesome video man!!! Just subscribed to your channel
Thank you!
That's a shame people has to mess up stuff when it goes abandoned they need to grow up
I agree it's so sad
No weeds or brush growing in the yards.Looks like it is being kept from being overgrown.
Yes the town takes care of the property. In fact, the whole neighborhood has full security now to.
How can this be, so sad.all due to plumbing problems. I don't believe this at all. So sad and creepy all in one.
RIGHT?!
Not plumbing contamination!
Such a nice-looking place/neighborhood, shame it was built on contaminated land. Why do people vandalize?. Because they're bored & stupid!
With so many veterans homeless why not let them work on the place and give them those houses ..🤔
I’m surprised the government didn’t rent them out since they weee for military and military reserve.
This abandoned neighborhood has since been demolished.
That's a shame people has to mess up shit when it goes abandoned they need to grow up
Hoodie and a backpack? What is going on? Nope.
That was all military housing called base housing, it’s served the Willow Grove naval base I don’t think it was about up to code or anything like that
Did u ever see it? When people lived there? Do u know why thy closed it?
I knew it was Navel housing 😩
Would you be willing to go back and show my kids 1105 Viking? They grew up there.
Still looks better than the town Shenandoah pa
Where in PA Iis this. You mentioned an abandoned military base, and I see a 215 area code
Sad people have nothing better to do but destroy things.
I know, it is very sad I don't get it
The last building is the mini mart
Hey what's the exact location? I need something to see... I'm in philadelphia this is like probably a good 30 40min drive from me
I lived there during the 90s dad was in the navy damn the little mini mart
I lived across from the mini mart from 94-96 i was 12-13 then this place used to be nice huh
The streets do look narrow as hell
They are narrow lol
Where is this at?:)
What a waste of taxpayers money! The ground is polluted?? I bet the shit was already polluted but go ahead let service members live there typical government tactics along with public domain.. I served Semper Fi
Good video
I'm kinda surprised that neighborhood isn't full of homeless people....
Nuketown vibes.
So who mows the grass
1 unit was the office.
Why was it abandoned
I was just here on Tues 4/13...got caught by the police! 😕
Yea they are taking it seriously now, especially since the recent fire that took place there.
😮.... that's why we can't have nice bandos! 😒

They could fix them up and turn them into low income housing
The houses are abandoned because they are putting a highway in there that connects to route 43
The houses are abandoned because they are connecting a highway to route 43 it's going to run straight through there
That's not why it's abandoned but that is a possibility for the future.

Yo bro I'm from the area and I was wondering how to get in here without getting caught. There's been a bunch of people who had their photos taken by cops to try and catch them, but I'm sure if you sneak in at night maybe you're fine?
Used to be easy, holes in the fence, but exploring this place is over since there was a recent fire at this location. This area is governmentally owned and wayyyy too protected. I wouldn't recommend it.
LC Explores I read that article about the fire that happened a few weeks ago. That blows. Also I'm sure it's littered with squatters which is sketchy. Are you from the area? Are there other places within reasonable distance that would be cool to go to? Me and my buddy are looking to find some new abandoned places to explore
@@Day23458 I'm not from the area, but while I was on my way home to New York, I stopped to check this place out. Had no problems but was very sketchy.

Wonder why they didn’t bull doze the houses?
They are still planning on doing it.

They just did about a month ago
I wonder can the savages who littered and vandalised this neighbourhood be taught any values, any ethics, any responsibility... sigh.

Haha right
I need the location on google maps, please let me know, I’d love to explore this place

Stop talking about you not understanding. The soil was contaminated by plane fuel ect. The service people were told to leave due to unsafe ground water and more.i took my daughter to a birthday party there. It is now mostly gone finally demolished
