  • Come along today as we venture inside a massive abandoned high school full of books, documents, and machinery. This school had a wide variety of class opportunities, including a cosmetology class where students could learn how to cut peoples hair. This school had loads of old technology left behind, including old laptops, computers, printers, ect. This school had wood working shops full of old drilling/cutting/ and sawing technology and a library completely full of books. This school also had a subterranean fallout shelter labyrinth which i temporarily became lost in during this exploration. While making my exit I came upon a person (most likely security) whom was looking inside the structure. Unable to take my original escape route, I had to walk completely around the school to find another way to leave the campus undetected. After I finished this exploration, I headed to a nearby abandoned religious school. Upon entry, I could hear people working inside the structure for its remodeling. I decided to leave although someday I could return before it is no longer abandoned.

It got a bad rap, but if the kids got thru 9th grade they did ok.

The building may have served its purpose as far as education, but it’s just sitting, instead of letting it rot, why not sell it for a good price to someone that would repurpose it, like someone else commented a community center or apartments, I’m sure the home owners in that district are still paying taxes on it, all the furniture and books could have been given away or donated, it is sickening that we have homeless families in all our cities in America and so many abandoned buildings and the local governments just let them decay and even deny people to use them. So sad.

Good photography. BUT a little info would have been nice. You could have spent 30 seconds naming the location, so that viewers don't have to scan the comments. Also, what was the reason for its closure?

What a waste. They need to go on there and clean the place out and auction the stuff out. Govt. waste at it's best. The place could be used to home the homeless. Sad to see a building go to waste.

Empty schools like this should be re-purposed into Senior Citizen housing.

It was very upsetting to see all the supplies left to waste, especially all the perfectly good books in the library. Thanks for commenting!
