Can you imagine how beautiful the world would be if everyone were driving beautiful cars like this everywhere with No ugly SUVs and aggressive looking pickup trucks on the road.
Do you think there is something wrong with us who appreciate beautiful cars!?!? Because it seems like if most people felt as we do they would at least make an attempt to style some new cars similar to this. I understand about having to have safety features, and economy now a days, but there are a few modern versions of old style cars. They did it with the small T bird, and the PT Cruiser was based on a 1930's design. So they could do it if they wanted to. How come they wont come up with a tail finned vehicle, and some fender skirts! Apparently we are just eccentrics! Lol.
@@johnny_ca They came out with a few new cars with retro designs, like the T Bird two-seater, the P.T. Cruiser was also a throwback design, and they did it with the Camaro, so why can't there be just one model for us tail fin lovers?!?! Lol
Beautiful!.......I was 6 years old in 1959, and had matchbox toy cars and one was a Cadillac. Later when I was in college, in Art school, in 1972 and had become a sculptor, I sculpted a large block of foam rubber into a 1953, Cadillac . It was (shortened) and converted into a (throne-like) chair. You sat in the engine compartment, and the engine hood was removable and became the ottoman. It won awards.

We had the base model series 62. The backup lights here with the V are from a fleetwood or eldo. Exterior of the C de Villa looked the same as the 62 except for the C de V trim pieces at the rear of rear fenders above the side molding.
Calling Flash Gordon; your rocketcar is ready! I love all versions of the 59 caddy. 40 years ago, I once had the 60 Buick Electra 225. Another Harley Earle inspired masterpiece. Similar streamlined sweeping spirit.

LOL When I was in college in the mid '80's I had a triple burgundy 1977 Sedan DeVille D'Elegance. When the cars were downsized in the '80's the university repainted all the parking spaces to make them smaller and shorter to fit more cars. Mine used to stick way out. Campus security used to give me tickets for 'blocking traffic.' I refused to pay them and they weren't going to let me graduate unless I paid all the fines. Boy was my father pissed off! LOL Just imagine if I had this '59!
Wow this 59 is better than showroom new ..it a specimen of art ...that engine looks new with all the fiitings being new something you dont see in restoration very often

Wooow. Does it have all options for the Coupe Deville's? I can see it has the Eyetronic, electronic vent windows, eletric seats and the really rare extras as is the cruise control and air conditioning. Nice example for sure. Though the cadillac crest on the reversing lights is a little out of place, as it was only on Fleetwood and Eldorado models
Yes I added alot of Eldorado options to the coupe and if it was an electrical option we wired everything in it's original color wiring for tracing any problems you might have with the car. These problems are 90 % due to a faulty ground that's why its important to store in a climate controlled environment. Hope this helps, dwayne

Some belt dressing and wd40 in key areas will quiet down the engine. Also, the exhaust system needs to be fixed. Those cars were essentially silent when running. Beautiful car!
They were the most beautiful car, no doubt, but I remember constantly replacing mufflers, tail pipes and resonators constantly on them as they had dual exhaust. The vacuum doors on the A/C system was a nightmare to repair. That 325 horsepower 390cu in would go from 0-60 in 6 sec. My mom accidentally left a hot cup of coffee with saucer on the top of the hood on the passenger side and drove 5 mi., parked and a man came up and said, “Mame, is this your cup and saucer?” They were pretty much a stable tank going down the road. Ah, the memories. But frankly, I now enjoy cars today that don’t require all of that maintenance.
@@RickPaquinI had a 67 Eldorado with a rusty gas line a passing gear failed a rusty gas tank master cylinder quit 3 fuel filters quit rusty radiator starter went out sprung hood all in 6 months 92000 miles it should have been in better shape than that.
