Universal Hardware Light Duty Knob Installation Video

Installation video for the Universal Hardware Light Duty Door Knobs. These knobs come in passage, privacy, keyed entry and storeroom functions. They locksets are great for light commercial applications in medium traffic areas. features push and turn button locking. Keyed entry function features push interior button to lock the exterior door knob until it is unlocked with use of key or by turning interior knob. The deadlocking latch bolt is operated by the inside lever at all times. This lever fits doors 1-3/8” to 2” thick. It has a 3 hour UL fire rating and meets or exceeds ANSI Grade 2 standards.

I did it exactly as shown and in interior rose won’t separate from the mounting plate.

Hello. The rose can be separated from the mounting plate by removing the knob and then inserting a flat head screwdriver at the dimple marks along the outside of the rose. Please give our Customer Care team a call at [phone] so we can assist.

U have the interior part of the handle backwards, the knob or handle can only clip in on one side or the other. Same happened to me. Terrible terrible product but I got them on clearance for 11$ so I guess is ok (go figure they are 80% off at Home Depot lol)

Your one size fits all written instructions for different models are incredibly convoluted and impossible to follow. They don’t show that you have to leverage a screw driver to remove the plate as shown here. Somebody needs to talk to whoever wrote the instructions that come with your product, or whoever required that one set of instructions be used for all models.
