My thoughts exactly. More like a platypus - nose and tail don't match the body. I'd like to see the OEM paperwork as there's nothing T/A on it body or interior wise. No front air-dam, no front fender air holes, dash is Formula optioned spec, missing T/A options. Manual windows... My guess is a Formula was the bases of the build.
Love what they did with the exhaust piping underneath and the beefy rear traction bars. Not a Pontiac engine but that Chevy is a solid engine and easy to find parts for.
And I actually preferred my "Shovel head" 74 front end with the rubber bumbers. They were great for knocking shopping carts and road blocks out of the way...😉

The nose isnt right cause its on 76 up fenders to match the shell and they wont bolt tight on newer fenders. Said the fenders were cut out,but its the metal inner fenders are just missing. Althou its a very nice car a true pontiac lover will say ya cant put a chevy engine in a pontiac..it sounds great but the price cant be terribly high..and the nose is not a 74..its a 70 to 73..

Wrong front end and/or doghouse. That supercharger looks absolutely ridiculous coming out of that hood. This car is worth the price of the motor. Put a correct doghouse on it, then you have somethin.

I played along and imeadiently guessed the will horn work because there were too many intricate details done to the car. Wow nice fast quarter mi car love that year firebird nose, although thru the years I like them all.
    Fortunate to have a
    1969 (California) firebird & a 1977 (Arizona) trans am
Both years so different and I loved em both.
PS for possible idea in future now that vegas betting is on line it would be wild to bet win or loose on the vintage car horns?
    Just saying its fun 👍😁

the only thing 74 about this vehicle is the rear window. Looks like it's done pretty well, but most people wouldn't want a 70-73 nose, a 76-78 rear bumper a 78 dash etc. ..certainly not a T/A ...it's pieces from a dozen other vehicles hodge-podged together. meh

Looks like a 70-73 nose on a 74 body. Still a baddass ride. Back in 78, I was supposed to graduate HS. My Father took me to one of his buddy's used car lots. There was a "71 Trans am 455 SD sitting there off to the side. Red with black interior... like new condition. He told me thats my car when I graduate in two weeks. I was sick to my stomach because I knew I wasnt going to graduate. 1/2 credit short. I never told him. He told his buddy to sell it to someone else when I did. He was getting the car for a wholesale price of $1600! Lesson learned! :(

I appreciate going fast but that hood is a hot mess! It has the dual Firebird scoops but they cut into one to make room for the supercharger. You might be saying, “But they’re keeping the car period specific.” But hey, they pulled out the Pontiac motor and put in a Chevy! Why not use a Z/28 if you’re going to use a Chevy motor?

that might be a 74, but that isn't a 74 nose. 74 has the two black rubber vertical bumpers. at least that is what my Formula 455 SD has. i bought it from it's original owner in 1980.
