- Been excited to get my hands on this weird looking blade for quite some time! The new Bauer ADV with a hole in the blade!
Why the hole? What does it do for shot power? Does it affect stickhandling or shooting ability? All these answered in the video. Enjoy! Спорт
Thanks for watching guys! What would you like to see me review next?
Can we get you to break out the radar gun and compare the slingtech of this Bauer Nexus ADV to your True AX9? Love to know if it provides any realistic advantage to the speed of your clappers or snap shots.
Also would love your take on the new Kav Custom 3D printed helmet.
Am a Goalie. And for some reason as soon as u started doing the Clappers, I wanted to go out there and stop them...?
I get know why others call us weird lmao XD
Use the stick for your games for a month or two, then review it and examine the blade (honestly). I get it that Bauer want you to give it a nice review, but any stick out of box feels snappy. I'd like to see the top of the blade after getting slashed after 10 games.
I play at Withrow park all the time lol
im gunna buy one so that everytime i miss a 1-timer I can say that there's a hole in my stick.
Lmao
😂😂😂😂
Ot game 7 for the cup that happens 😂
Mathys Lemoyne Wiffs from the point, team goes down and pulls a LA Kings game winner for the cup
Genius 😂
I hope there's a discount for the part of the blade that's missing
Yeah, 20% more.
Pfsif ikr
King Hanley the Great Nah less material more price
I tape my stick toe to heel so i want 50
Cuz the hole is useless to me
lol do you think convertibles are cheaper because of the reduced material?
Dad: "Only a player with a hole in his head would play with a hole in his stick."
Stephen Daniels well said 😂😂
Let's not forget the ol' 8.0.8. "O-stick". That thing was a travesty too...
Me: “ misses a pass”
Coach: “ What is wrong, is there a hole in your stick or what?
Me: “ Well...”
Hey Vsauce Michael Here
You.”looking for likes”
RUclips “ 🖕”
lol
(: funny joke
2020: hole in blade
2025: stick without blade
Mike bruh
Mike that’s just called ringette
Langethal cha nüd
Sex Pistols they are living in 2025 lol
2030: stick-less stick,
Cuz it's the future.......
I got a drill and jig saw .. ill make my own
save yourself 400$
@@Soucer23 They will just go back to the normal blade design .
Jonah S more like ruin the cost of the stick he just drilled....
Lol
Lmao
I have never played hockey in my life, haven't even ice skated before, but watched this entire video and considered buying one
lmfao

How is no one at that rink ? That Ice looks absolutely perfect. Here in Montreal that ice would’ve been jam packed on a daily basis
Chase Kirby tell me about it. So hard to find rinks to practice on around mtl, got to get up very early in the morning
Chase Kirby This is a public rink in the east side of Toronto called Withrow park. I can think of at least 5-6 rinks within 10-20 minutes of this one, just in one neighbourhood alone (Jimmy Simpson, Greenwood, Monarch, Riverdale, Dieppe, Kew Gardens) Some rinks are much more busy than others. All have great ice though 👌
Nolan Kearney I bet. By the looks of it , are any of them refrigerated ice ?? Like do they all feel like actual arena ice
Chase Kirby I’m not sure about all of them, but some of them are for sure. I frequently go to Greenwood, that is one of the best outdoor rinks in the city and is maintained extremely well. All of them are in good care though
Imagine having ice rinks available 24/7
The Sherwood 5030 works great with the Hit-The-Net technology
I bet this stick is priced like jeans. Yknow, how the jeans with the holes in them are more expensive than the jeans that don’t have any rips
I mean, makes sense. They still had to make a whole stick/pair of jeans and cut out the holes, so that's full material price plus extra labor ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
This stick is around 452$ so it isn't cheap what so ever
Titan Playz that’s egregious 😑
Those shots were absolute rockets
so satisfying to watch tbh
The backhands are the most impressive
A kid on my team got one and we were all trying to figure out how to tape it😂
lol good point... do u tape over the hole? seems to defeat the purpose if u cover the hole up
Just like normal. The hole creates a slingshot, its not for airflow
If you want to keep the hole exposed, tape over the whole blade and then take a razor and cut on the top of the hole by the top of the blade, and fold the tape over
It’s to make a slingshot effect not for airflow, tape it like normal
where do you buy?
I can just picture someone’s stick getting caught in the Adv hole
Zach Huot... thats what I was thinking. How's that gonna work. New stick lift move.
And if u get a sauce pass it could bounce weird if the puck would hit the edge of the hole
U tape it
Joshua Haubrick ...do you play hockey? If so, you'd know that even if you tape it, the tape will not absorb the impact repeatedly of receiving passes, salshing, stick lifting, skate blades cross it in battles, etc...if there is a hole behind it, the hole doesn't hold the tape. This is a gimmick that won't last imo. I'd like to see this stick after a few months use. Ipso facto the blade has less structural integrity that a full blade. Take 1000 slappers with this twig then check its condition.
@@McQuokka keep playing your wood log and i'll take the new tech.
"Middle of the boards, I suck“ I can relate to that
Absolutely hypnotized when you were stick handling. Amazing.
Great stick review with an on-ice demonstration!
Wow, these shots are really ripping and flying. So much power and speed!
Yeah - must be the stick. Normally, his shot is just weak and inaccurate.
Back in the 70's growing up in Saskatchewan hockey was a religion. This stick reminds me of how we cut out our blades to play with sponge pucks. Picture it without the part above the slot and the tip level with the bottom of the slot. It added a definite whipping effect. Nice skills by the way 👍
So you’re saying if I buy that I’ll be my beer league MVP automatically right?!
Kyle Shegrud yea
Automatic mvp
tip for shooting heel up and push down on the puck
I was experimenting and did this to a few wooden sticks when I was a kid, just to make it lighter and to look cool. I had durability problems with mine though, however, I should have patented it. :) I also drilled holes on the midsection part on goalie sticks to make them lighter too - feel free to steal that idea too :)
Barbs your dad is a true beauty! Gotta get him included in more videos. Feeding you passes etc.
agreed.
Another great stick review Pavel!! Wondering in this video why you switched back to the true holders and are not using the Mars blades on your skates? Thanks for all you do!!
I'm using these exclusively for a few months to give em a fair trial. After that I'm going to assess both.
5:15 WHAT THE HELL DID I JUST WITNESS
Every squirt and peewee locker room ever
Just wait about 8 seconds. That blew my mind
I had to watch it at 0.25X speed to figure out what his hands were doing, the all black outfit makes his depth hard to perceive on camera
Thinkin the same thing
11:10 was the smoothest move ever
A solid review Pavel!👍
I bought it yesterday and played with it man o man this thing is awesome👍 i recommand this to anybody
I like when you say ,,Ohhhh'' after every shot
Bauer: Makes a stick with a hole in the blade and calls it innovation.
Tovi: Am I a joke to you.
Whoever edits your videos is amazing. Some amazing shots using really nice camera angles and the extra cut at the end COMPLETELY selling off the sick :p Bauer should just hire you and your editor to make their promo vids from now on.
haha thanks! I'm not really the best editor but this video I did entirely myself.
I love the fact that you’re dad is still promoting the Canadiens-de-Montréal even tho we’re losing so much
Win or lose, the Habs are one of the most prolific teams in all of sports. They can afford the losing :-)
I remember after I got my first synergy and broke it and had a two piece as backup the puck felt so heavy these stick technologies are so fascinating
I’m glad I found this: I invented the slot technology thru Christian bros. The stick was called the rinker. The rinker was designed for ball hockey, still the best design ever for using a ball. As ball hockey was becoming more popular the stick was made of Deleon plastic, I tried in vain to convince Christian to make a graphite design for high end players, they wanted a low end market stick. I wish I had pushed my patent more to this stick and the ball version. I still have a prototype graphite version of the rinker.
I was well ahead of the time.
This is the best puck handling I have ever seen. I'm gonna take a drill and saw to my stick so I can work it like this.
Wow, really impressed at 5:22 when he bounced the puck straight back into a zorro (spelling)... that's awesome
For anyone wondering 2:01
“Middle of the board” “I suck” I replayed that so many times 😂😂
😂 Such a muffin
That would be me if I tried to make a video of my hockey skills lol
My gosh that ice looks so good!!!
Definitely getting this for my birthday witch is coming up
I’ve had the sling for about a month now. I had the adv for a while but I like the sling much better. Highly recommend
As someone who lives in Florida, where the most dead winters feel like fall... Seeing a whole ass ice rink outside, open to the public, is the coolest shit I ever seen lol
What goin’ on barbs? Just wanted to let you know that I love your content and YOU my friend are a certified beauty.
Neat , I see a lot of people saying it won't catch on but maybe some day something will and I will be a game changer just like Stan Makita with the curved blade, fiberglass reinforced wood sticks and all the way to modern one piece sticks . Maybe telescopic sticks will be the next thing
will leaving the slot exposed create less resistance going through a slap shot giving you more power?
it wouldn't really make a difference it's very minimal if it does
Is there a chance you’ll start using this twig?
I'll continue to use this one and my True AX9 over the next couple of months.
Pavel Barber do you notice any difference from the a6.0 to the ax9? Im prob gonna buy a ax9 tomorrow but im shivering to make the change.
Pavel Barber I guess time will show the durability of this thing
@@andrewm4951 yeah the A6. 0 has a stiffer blade and a different balance point. It's more of a shooter stick. The AX9 is a good cross breed between the xc9 and a6. 0. I definitely prefer the AX9 to the a6. 0
@@PavelBarber can you send me one. My retail stores don't carry yet jk
Incredible stick handling!!!
@CJ Dillon douche
I have one and love it.
Damn you are good with handling the buck
I love how quiet those boards are
Should tape it full,. Then cut out the hole with scissors or a knife and see how it feels. Reminds me of the reebok o-stick, and that was good enough for Datz to use lol
love this guys accent.
Love your vids
this'll be a big hit just like the Reebok O-shaft
Dude you got some quick hands
Dang Id love to try that thing out
Hey Pavs would it be possible for you to do a durability test on the ADV or just use it in a lot because I still don’t trust the huge hole in it I need a new stick soon so I thought it could be a possibility 😁
Update: I bought it xD
EXG BLU that will be expensive the
Beauer adv price(400$)
It doesn’t trust you
Master III ik I’ve got b-day money
@@EXG_BLU better is to buy 2 2s pros instead of 1 adv
Deivids that’s what I’m currently using
I feel like the hole is just marketing strategy to make people think that the stick is special
Ewan Ward so true
Yep..propably gets broken even easier
It is, it's for fun but some will really really think it's a game changer. That's fine, whatever makes you more pumped out there. Reebok already had holes in the shaft and it was a huge conversation piece but faded away quickly
aaron maxim
Yeah I remember that my son had one.
I didn't realize ADV was part of the Nexus line, neat
The first gen ADV was a Vapor, which is what gave us the 1X Lite, then they did a Supreme ADV prior to this, and now a Nexus one. Not surprising at all to me.
AT2 Productions I use CCM, not really familiar with the Bauer lines
Nice video
That’s awesome
Bro it looks insane
The dads hockey and wine cave is the best part of the video.
krazy skillz he has !
Papa Pavel... THAT WINE COLLECTION!!
someone’s stick is gonna get stuck in that thing 😂
Gonna take tripping to a whole new level🤣
I grew up playing shinny at Withrow Park. Loved your video. Great skills man. BTW, who is your Dad?
Yeah I remember when they started putting the plastic inserts in the shaft with the holes in them and now they don’t do that anymore
The definition of "hole in your stick" is taken to a whole new world
You're a machine dude
Awesome so cool love u pav!
What times do you go where it's so dead? Everytime I'm at that rink there's always people there!
OMG.... I WANT THIS STIGG😍😍😍
Realy nice!!!
is it just me, or does the shooting look really satisfying from that camera angle
Yo I got the adv and I love I used it in my game and when my teammates showed up everyone was shocked they wouldn't leave my alone everyone was u got it holy
Me too, just bought it. Watsapp chat is buzzing.
5:04 has me dead😂😂
If the hole was in the middle that would be pretty cool potentially for ball hockey. It would make it a bit like a floor ball stick which would give better control.
You makes sounds after every shot like Maria Sharapova:)
2020: hole in blade
2030: no blade
2040:no stick
I think this channel if just to show off this guys skill I feel like
I got that first day and I didn’t really care cuz I had my flylite that I’m really good with.
this video was sick
Nice stick handling skills
Reminds me of those old plastic Cooper blades for road hockey
Nice 👍 shot
Nice one, Pasha
Cool to see someone doing this in Riverdale!
They need to make a goalie version. That way when I let it a slop goal I can blame it on the hole in my stick.
does this hole in the stick make it easier to do the michigan.
Sick mitts
You should be in the nhl you are so good and you have good accuracy with your shots
Withrow park we got a Toronto boy!! Come down to greenwood I got a job there! I regret not taking the job at withrow now :(
cant help thinking, new improved golf ball and driver. interesting though and some excellent sniping
You deserve a contract
Curious about the durability of the top half of the blade. Face offs, a chop down or even a chop up with a stick check might snap the thin part of the blade???
Pavel, if you play your video in slow motion, can you visibly see the bottom portion of the blade bend? I also wonder if this design would make the shot better from the middle of the blade vs the toe.
3:40 'getting so much better doing it....' Oh man
Stick works awesome. Ive scored hundreds of goals with it
Damn Bro !! You know how to shot a puck!!
