Say goodbye to heavy lifting and your ugly factory hood prop! USP has designed a complete hood strut kit for the MK6 Jetta. Finally, you can experience the ease and convenience of simply lifting your hood up and it staying up. No hood prop required. Simply pop your hood with the release inside your vehicle and lift up on the hood. The included hydraulic strut will assist the hood in the opening, requiring less effort on your part. Once the hood is all the way open, the strut will keep the hood open. When it’s time to close your hood, simply push down on the hood firmly and the hood will close and lock. Hey, this product is awesome! Would this fit on the 2019 jetta?
I wish you had used or recommended any kind of paint, conservation after drilling in a whole in to the fender. From this video it looks like you drill into metal.

how about the hood alignment post installation ? will the spacing be same as before on all the body parts ?
Is it better to mount two of them on both sides of the hood? Or one is enough?
Everything is great but driling through the fender not my favorite it would be better to design some better bracket or better way to fasten it instead of driling in to the fender..
At least paint the holes so it doesn't rust in the mean time

I won't do this on my car. It requires to drill 2 wholes on the fender.
