One thing to note that was not mentioned. When you insert the terminal into the ABS connector, there is a lock which helps to secure the terminals in the connector. It is the pink mechanism in the connector which runs the length of the connector internally as viewed from the terminal side. You can see either end of the lock. At one end are pink cross-hairs and the other end a pink square with a notch in it. Use a pocket screw driver and push the lock outward via the notch in the pink square. This will allow you to insert the terminal a little easier and without distorting the terminals tangs which snap into the connector. After you've inserted the terminal then slide the pink lock back inward until it clicks.
This install was so easy until I got to plugging the little plug into the abs module. This took me forever to figure out because it wouldn't push in all the way until i found the purple tab. Once I opened the slot with the purple tab it went in nice an easy. I wish this was mentioned in the video but otherwise it was an easy install.
My panel lights aren’t working. When I push traction control button but is still indicating as working on the dash. , would you have any idea what’s wrong. ?
As I read the comments after install, like Paul, I had to slide the pink unlock mechanism on the abs module wire harness to "open" to get the wire in. It simply would not go in without unlocking it. Not sure if USP just accidentally edited that part or what? P.S. $110.00 shipped for this part from them is a little over priced 😡
I would assume so, because in my 2019 gti when I turned off traction control, a yellow warning like would come on. I want to say it was a triangle with an exclamation mark in it.
@@dayneellison3533 it took a lot of effort to get it to go through the firewall. I ended up using some stiffer wire and electrical tape around the wire and was able to get it through the firewall. It works great now that I have it installed!
i put that kit in my Jetta 2011 2.5, just how you siad and it doesn't work, when I push the button nothing happen any light in the dash turns on, what should I do next? you didn't put in your video how the button work at the end ?
I just installed this on my 2011 Jetta se, as it turns out some cars do not have the light on the dash at all that tells you if the stability control is off, so what you have to do to test is go in rain, or grass and just try to spin the tires
@@carguycam_7928 i just kept trying to force it thru with a long skinny piece of metal, it'll come out straight thru but then has to bend upwards just after the firewall in the engine bay, just keep trying until it gets thru it took me about 45 min of messing with it
How would i go about doing this if i dont have an "accessory panel" for the button? I have the mk6 jetta se but its a 2014 and doesnt have a row of buttons, instead a row of ridges.
this sucks to install if you have the 1.8t and big hands. there’s hardly any room to fit your hand inside where you’re supposed the feed the wire. spent 2 hours and had no success.
You actually have this backwards... We are the originators of this harness and have been making it in-house for the past 8 years. The Chinese kit you're referring to is a knock-off of ours and they forgot to add the t-tap.

Not worth it... they literally forgot to add the TTap. It’s one of the most important pieces and they forgot to add it
They are literally re-selling Chinese wiring harnesses and adding the tap to it. You can legit get the same exact thing on ebay for 15 dollars
