Hihii~ Creator/Main Writer here! I genuinely can't believe you actually played this LMAO, thank you for playing!!
As a minor note, __b also directed the game alongside me, and pretty much directed most of the art for the game, as well as coded most if not all of the game. He should have left a comment somewhere by the time I send this.
There are fixes planned, hell, we've had to nerf Papyrus like 3 different times before he was deemed fair. There's also a spare option being planned for the future as well as other difficulty tuning fixes (checkpoints especially). Papyrus remains...unpredictable to say the least. Also, Papyrus doesn't actually kill you when you get a game over, that's a small oversight from me personally and that's gonna be changed at some point.
Some additional little easter eggs, some team members have name easter eggs in the naming sequence, as well as some other character names. Chione can also sit down if you press the Q button, and if you sit on the game over screen for some time, there will be someone waiting for you there (won't spoil that, tho). If you ever decide to go back, maybe these might interest you ^^

Really enjoyed watching the game, but for a thought I feel like papyrus should be the same in hard mode as of the difficulty seen in the video thought mostly as I enjoy papyrus being tough for once. Make him stronger as genocide sans normal id say

This game has some original story telling. I really like the feeling the game gives of frozen underground and everyone just gave up. I also like that it plays off of the neutral route instead of pacifist or genocide. Really well done.

One thing this fangame doesn’t do very well is indicate what is going to happen during attacks. If the soul simply flashed before it changed or if there is some sort of sound that plays then I’m sure this game can be absolutely fantastic.

Beautiful fangame - the main menu design and song just screams of a cold, desolate hope. All of the soundtrack so far also screams 'ice' and 'cold', even the fast-paced battle themes.

From the small details to the sprite-work, everything here manages to fit in perfectly.
The animation actually reminds me a little of how J-Bug animates his sprites, so that's really cool if it's intentional or not.
This is probably one of the best/most high quality fan-games out there and I can't wait to see more of it!
What's funny is that papyrus doesn't even seem to be trying. After the fight he doesn't drop a sweat or feels bad. He's certainly gotten colder and stronger.

Is it just me or this fangame gives some weird Everhood vibes?? What a beautifully hopeless and dying world yet somehow charming in its atmosphere.

I guess this is the fangame for only the bravest cherryvs, those who love the visuals and story, but also have the determination to keep on fighting.
PS: I'm very glad you read all of the comments, not just the ones that get posted right after a video if dropped like most do. Gives active commenters like me time enjoy the video before commenting.

Frisk had finally given up in this story.
I really love the idea that frisk stayed in the underground for the next human.
So “Chione” was now the most determined.
Interesting.
Chione's name is special because chione is the greek goddess of ice and snow
you know, for someone who says he doesn't wanna fight sans, he seemed really, really excited to fight sans when he met him.
My god this is the most beautiful Undertale fangame I've seen so far! especially the storytelling scenes I love how serious papyrus is. and the fact i finally get to see Icebound sans In action and an battle/fangame instead of Ost's
*FINALLY* we get a Papyrus who shows how insanely good at battles he can be, WITHOUT needing to be some super edgey or depressed genocide route boss! :)
In contrast to the current weather of the underground, Papyrus has completely lost his chill.
Really like how his attacks seem to be based on trickery, leading you one way and doing something else, requiring you to remember what he's gonna pull or be very vigilant.
Also love the immediate dread of "Oh god if Papyrus was already this bad what's Sans gonna do?"

This fan game is probably what the full Hard Mode of Undertale would have been like.
The music and visuals are super stunning and I couldn't believe that this was a fan game. If I didn't know that it was, I would have thought this was some kind of sequel of some sort.
I love the art and especially the music as you can hear different melodies from original soundtracks from Undertale without completely copying the song entirely. Especially for Papyrus, it precisely captures the mood and atmosphere of the fight itself and it adds that extra layer of insanity to the fight.
I can't wait to try this game out myself when the full version comes out. I'm already so eager to start playing it!

Ruins = Catacombs of the FROZEN.
Snowdin forest = Freezing wilderness
Snowdin town = blizzardin
Waterfall = snowfall
The void = The C.O.L.D
Hotland = coldland
True lab = Lab of Cold blooded nightmares
CORE = CORE of the frost
Judgement hall = Icy hall of Cold hearted JUDGEMENTS.
Barrier = Freezing END
I could probably make better names but idk
The sound tracks already have the actual area names example: waterfall sound track is called desolate falls

To be honest, when I started making my Undertale fan game, me and my friend gave up, but we recently decided to start working on it again. I was the one who suggested we work on it again, and the only reason I suggested it is because Merg inspires me to make that fan game! And it’s going to be hard because the team is just me and a friend, but Merg is the reason why we are working on it again!

The only gripe I have about this game is that there are some parts of the papyrus battle that are unreactable unless you have prior knowledge. This makes the battle more about memorization then actually reacting skillfully but other then that this game looks really good and promising

If you're looking for more games to play, you should take a look at Rain World! A hard but fun game when you get the hang of it, just like Pizza Tower and Ultrakill, it seems like the kind of game for you. It's a really enjoyable game that more people should see.
