    FAQs??
    -How many squares do I need for a baby blanket?
    This can vary, it really can be however big or small you like, but i generally do 4x4 or 5x5.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How many chains shall I do for a *single/double/etc' blanket?
    Again, this can vary. I would suggest that you do your chain and lay it down agains the bed you are wanting it for. It should be the same width. You should then ad a few more to make it a little wider.
    This blog post might be useful: bit.ly/1UIobie
    -How much yarn do I need?
    Unfortunately, I will not be able to answer individuals questions about how much yarn you would used do to multiple factors affecting it. Such as, your tension, the size of hook and the yarn being used.

    I'm puzzled like many others here regarding stitch count at the end. After 3 tries I resorted to basic arithmetic. 36+4=40 chains, 40 less 4(first DC plus 1 CH)= 36 less 22 (skipped chains in between the v stitches)=14 less 11 (v stitches)=3 remaining chains. I can't figure out how you managed 4 at the end.

    • @ashleyprestenback8514
      @ashleyprestenback8514 4 года назад +2

      I just went with 41

    • @TaeKookieLover
      @TaeKookieLover 4 года назад +3

      The formula for the v-stitch is crochet a chain of a multiple of 3 + 4, so she made a chain of 36 (12x3)+4....the 4 chains is for a double crochet. Then you crochet a double in the 4th chain from your hook. You have now 2 double crochet. Next skip 2 chains and make a v-stitch ( 1 dc - ch1 - 1dc )...skip 2 chains and make a v-stitch. Do this til you have 4 chains left...skip 2 chain and make 1 dc in the last 2 chains.
      Hope this makes more sense 😉

    • @bookworm881321
      @bookworm881321 3 года назад +4

      I glad I'm not the only one with this problem. I was doing a chain of 33 plus 4 and ended up with 3 chains left. I even did a chain of 36 plus 4 and still ended up with 3 chains. I'm ready to just add an extra chain to the beginning.

    Brilliant! I like the way you have used the same V stitch as the Infinity scarf/ snood..... I have just completed the snood so can't wait to do matching wrist warmers. If I make the wrist warmers out of the 6.5 Rialto Chunky yarn, will the wrist warmers be too thick and chunky? Thanks for sharing the tutorial video.

    • @dawnkindnesscountsmost5991
      @dawnkindnesscountsmost5991 2 года назад

      I think a thicker yarn will work, as long as your foundation chain is a multiple of 3, and you measure the chain around your wrist for fit (0:25 to 1:25). Fewer foundation chains would be necessary with the thicker yarn; otherwise, you'd work up the mitts the same way. I hope you have success; thick, chunky yarn is lovely!

    Hi! I'm just starting to learn crochet and of I course your tutorial is 4 years old. :-/ I had the same problems with a lot of other people... 3 instead of 4 at the end. Gonna try it again VERY slowly, lol. I've tried to find the answer to the following but can't... can I still use most of this pattern to make wrist warmers WITHOUT the thumb portion? Thx! Great video and very easy to understand. Love how you go slow and are repetitive (best way for me to learn!)

    HI! Love these wrist warmers but have the hardest time making them look pretty. First, I have the same problem as the comments below (3 chains instead of 4). Also, the 'V' looks more like an X and 'sewing' the 2 sides together is a joke... it just looks plain awful, sigh. Gonna keep trying bc I love these so much.

    Hello! First, I would like to say, I adore these wrist warmers. Secondly, I was curious, because I am racking my brain trying to figure out why this pattern is not working for me, but I think I have it figured out. Please please please correct me if I'm wrong! I used the same stitch count as you with the 36 + 4, but when I get to the end of round 1, I only have 3 chains left, and not the 4 you mentioned. If I go to the end, before the last 4 I'm supposed to end with, and where you're supposed to skip 2 chains only skip one before my last V stitch, I would end with 4 chain spaces at the end. Is this correct?
    I hope I haven't completely confused you.... does any of this make any sense, or am I completely way off on this? I really want to make these!
    Thank you for sharing and happy crocheting!!

    Hi. I LOVE your tutorials! Just asked a question on your new tutorial about the advanced foundation chain. Probably should've asked here instead...
    1. Can that chain be used on this pattern? My mom wanted warmers but stopped at the thumb (she didn't want any further). I tried MANY times making them but everytime I tried, most of the 'V's looked like an X.
    2. Does the kind of yarn matter? Used Patrons Classic Wool, Worsted and Caron Simply Soft. The X happened with both yarns. Any idea what I'm doing wrong?
    Thanks!

    • @bellacococrochet
      @bellacococrochet  6 лет назад

      yes you can use the method on anything as it's just sowing you how to work into the back loop and not the front loop. Without seeing your work, it's hard fro me to give guidance on where you might be going wrong. The type of yarn shoudn't make a difference x

    I keep having the same problem where I get to the end of the first row, just before switching yarn colors, and I've run out of chain, so I'm left with only one triple crochet at the end. What am I doing wrong? How do i fix it? Can I just leave it and move on? I'm going to try moving on for now, but any feedback would be helpful and much appreciated :)

    i tried this but since i have small wrists i only ended up doing a base of 18. This meant that when we decrased it got super small on top quickly. :( could someone give me a tip as to how to adjust the pattern to make it better for small wrists?

    • @babeinaz
      @babeinaz 3 года назад

      When I changed color from white to blue, I saw a huge difference in the way the yarn handles. I like the blue a lot better... less fuzzy and I think thicker. The labels are the same on both skeins.

      Sarrah Wilson i made six pairs of these for christmas last year. What i did was find someone i knew had about the same size and used them as a template. Those who had smaller hands like me that i knew were quite similar, i just winged it and it worked out fine. But if You’re still unsure then i think there are some sizing charts on Pinterest mabye :)

    Hi +BellaCoco ! I really love this tutorial! But I just have one concern. I did chain 36+4 then treble all the way until I have 4 left chain stitch. My problem is, the last chain stitches. Instead of having 4 left, mine is 3. And I don't understand why. I repeated this for 3 times to make sure I don't skip any stitches and still got the same result. Can you help me, please? :( I would really appreciate it. Thanks a lot! ❤️

    Your tutitorials are good. I have a question though. Why in most of what I've viewed do you Always use a Small hook? Is it because you're more comfortable with the 3.5 size? Because most generally that small hook is used for "Lacey type projects". Myself I prefer to use 6-6.5 unless using Chunky or Larger yarn. Don't get me wrong, your patterns are nice and comparable to most on RUclips, only they never use this 3.5 hook. Pretty colors btw 🙂

      Sherri T most of the time I use a 4.5-5.5 hook for DK. I wanted the stitches to be tighter for this project

    I am having trouble and can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I chain stitch 30, then add 4. Then I start the row....I skip 3 stitches and treble into the 4th. From there you say to skip 2 and treble into the 3rd stitch, then keep going until you are left with 4 stitches at the end. But I am always left with 3 stitches at the end, not 4?? So if I have chained 34(30+4), skip 3, tr into 4th, I'm now down to 30 left, skip 2, tr into 3rd, I'm now down to 27, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 24, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 21, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 18, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 15, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 12, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 9, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now down to 6, skip 2, tr into 3rd, now I'm left with 3 stitches...not 4 stitches? What am I doing wrong?? Help!
