  • In this tutorial video I'll show you how to crochet cute fingerless gloves for your hands!
    Hi I'm Donna Wolfe from Naztazia. These crochet fingerless gloves are very useful outdoors when it's cold outside and you want to play on your phone. I also find them useful when crocheting outdoors at practices and games.
    The fingerless gloves, sometimes called fingerless mitts, are simple to make if you know how to crochet the single crochet stitch. You can use any type of worsted weight yarn that you like, such as acrylic, cotton, and wool. I'm using a size F 3.75 mm crochet hook for my cozy. Feel free to use a G 4 mm crochet hook if the smaller size is a bit too small for you.

      I second this comment 100%! YT crocheters who ramble on and on or go overboard with the instructions (as if you're 5 and can't understand what's being said) are so super annoying. I really appreciate how clear, direct, and to the point Donna is, and when you do have questions she actually responds (whereas others apparently can't be bothered).

    The moss stitch is one of my all time favorite stitches! It was the stitch I learned when first starting to crochet, and the stitch I teach all beginners because it’s simple, looks really nice, and it’s easy to see your stitches! I’m always looking for new patterns to use it, thanks so much 🥰🥰

      @@opalhuffey3121 be sure not to make the stitch too tight

    • @candyackley1255
      @candyackley1255 5 месяцев назад +1

      @@opalhuffey3121 sorry, just now saw this.. a little bit of curling is normal as your starting any crochet project, but as you make more rows it should even out. Tips: if your chains are tighter than your stitches, that could cause curling (or vice versa). Or missed stitches, or added stitches could cause uneven rows too. And with moss stitch, you make your stitches not in the top of previous stitches but in between in the spaces. Hope this helps, good luck! 👍🏻👍🏻👍🏻

    • @naztazia

      Larger hook sizes, an H is 5 mm and an F is 3.75 mm would generally make the stitches larger. As long as the measurements are within the range given in the video, it should be just fine.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  6 месяцев назад

      Since this shape is primarily a rectangle, any decrease in the rows or slanting of shape is mostly due to counting. Might have to review precisely where you are putting your stitches so that you have the same number of single crochet stitches on each row.

    • @naztazia
      @naztazia  Месяц назад

      Sorry I don't have a video. If you know how to crochet in the round, I would generally start at the bottom of where the thumb would be, and make stitches in the round around that thumb opening for several rounds. Another option is make a little rectangle the size of the circumference of the thumb, sew it to form a tube, then sew it to the thumb hole.

    I’ve found crocheting is really difficult because I’m far sighted but have a habit of putting things real close to my face as if it’ll make me see better. So I can’t actually see what I’m doing because if it’s too far I can’t make out the details cuz that’s just how my brain works but if it’s too close everything is blurry 😭

      I would think so. It doesn't have holes or any lace look to it. I generally make things in darker colors for men, and they seem to like it because it oftentimes matches their coat, etc.
