@Grunge I've read the books so I already knew it all anyway but Nikki Sixx actually did dabble in black magic when He was with Lita Ford. They both got into it pretty heavily at one point & originally He'd wanted to call the album Shout with the Devil but the record company wouldn't let Him. A lot of strange things happened as a result of His dabbling with dark forces He could neither control or understand. If You read the Dirt You'll see I'm right. It was record execs & managers who recall the events too so it isn't Nikki exaggerating again either.
Considering that I have been a crue fan from 8 years old til now and I'm 44, they have always been my favorite band and I studied all of them. I know everything about them
Mick was never nor is schizophrenic. When he was dealing with his AS in the later 90’s/early 00’s, the medication he was on made him feel schizophrenic, but he does not actually have the illness.
I can definitely see him dealing with depression though. I was 12 years old when I first saw Crüe, and I always felt like Mars was very different ( not knowing about the illness he has)
@@viksaggu9085 He has definitely gotten way better. He looks happy in his newest photos with the wife. She's taking a good care of him and gives him all the love he needs. And we, the fans, do too.
"Things you didn't know about Motley Crue" and starts by saying that Vince was at one point replaced by John Corabi... Yeah nobody knew that. Skipping this video
I saw the first "false fact" and realised this list was gonna be stuff that anyone getting wrong is not a fan of the band. Anyone who does not know Vince was kicked our or quit (depending on who is telling the story) and replaced by Corabi obviously had their head buried in the sand.
Great video. I would like to add two more false facts that many people still believe. Many people think that Mick was one of the reasons or even the main reason why Motley quit touring/why Motley won't go back to stage. They think Mick doesn't want to tour/can't tour because of his painful disease. But the truth is that Mick loves touring and he said it many times that his disease never stopped him from touring and performing and never will. He lives and tours with his condition all his life, he knows how to cope with it and how not to let it control him and take away his ability to do what he loves the most. Mick is considering a solo tour when his album comes out. He's recording it right now. And he's going to tour, which means he can tour if he wants. Yeah, the disease is very tough, it's pretty serious, but he's still stronger than many people think. Different sourses say that Mick is 63, born April 3, or 67, born May 4. The only true date is the second one. Mick is 67. He will turn 68 soon. Many web sites still say his age is 63 or "63 or 67", but last year he confirmed it on Twitter that he was born May 4 1951 when someone wished him a happy birthday in the wrong day.
I got the chance to see The Crue in their Carnival Of Sins tour and it is hands down one of the best concerts I have ever been to. Tommy Lee's flying drum sets were epic. Love the Crue ALWAYS!!
Actually Nikki Sixx dabbled in black magic when He was living with Lita Ford. I have read all their autobiographies & Nikki dabbled at the time He released Shout at the Devil & originally He wanted it to be Shout with the Devil but the record company wouldn't let them. There was talk in the Dirt about the whole band dabbling but I really think it was just Nikki Sixx reading between the lines.
The smashing of the jar by Vince is one of my favourite stories. Just before a show Vince found that the mustard was the one he hated and smashed the jar cutting his hand so deep he was air evacuated from the concert. Every time I see a jar of dijon mustard I have a good smirk moment.
When I was in 4th grade, I took a Polaroid of Vince Neil at Sunset Grill burgers. Then, I lied and told my friends I knew him (why I don’t know). Hahaha!! My friends would gather around a single Polaroid in Aww. The good ol’ pre cellphone, pre internet days. Back when people stared at Album covers, and Rock Stars were mythological super heroes!!
Who believed these false things? I thought most of us knew the real stories. Maybe I'm a bad judge since I've been a huge fan since the '80s and spent a time wanting to write about bands of that era. (Turns out that doesn't pay so well most of the time so I pursued other opportunities but never stopped researching the subject). :)
Another false fact is that Vince never punched a girl, he hit a dude that looked like a girl which was common in the 80s lol but of course saying that it was a girl brings more spice to the story
it wasn't just one accusation, he's known to beat many women, as recently as 2016. women who get no monetary or fame gain by coming forward with the information. doesn't matter if you like his music, it's no skin off my ass, but like it or not the dude's a huge (literally) POS
Thank you beyond words for using the greatest Band of any and all time: Alice In Chains instead of the ever smothering Nirvana as your Grunge movement example. They’re truly the definition of the era.
Take what you read in The Dirt with a grain of salt. In Vince Neil's own book he and his own mother challenge a few things from The Dirt as being either false or exaggerated. Don't forget these ghost writers want to make a story a lot more juicy. Not to say there were not salacious or juicy stories that really happened with the band, but they will still one up it for a completely tantalizing read.
The very first thing you list in your video about them having more than the original four members, any real Crüe fan would know that. I do agree that their self titled album with John Querabi as the lead singer is probably one of my top three motley Crue albums ever done. I’m sure I probably miss spell his last name. Sorry about that John. I really liked that album because Mötley Crüe came across a lot harder and a lot more modern. There sound a graduated to their fans. Their fans were growing older as was Motley Crue. And the updated and more modern sound fit the band and their fans at that time. My top three albums from Motley Crue would be, Dr. feel good, motley Crue and the Saints of Los Angeles. The reason why albums light generation swine sucks so bad is because once Vince Neil returned, the band sound took a step back. Instead of being aggressive modern hard sound that the self and titled album brought to us, we got a step back motley Crue. With the sound that they were doing in the 80s. And it just didn’t work in the 90s.
Theirs no way they could tour with Micks health, but when they signed that tour cessation in 2015 they were clear they would still get together and record some music.
