This is one of my favorite Ghanaian meals. I can eat this every single day! I thought kontomire and spinach were the same. Hubby said no! Roasted momoni(What an aroma). Erh?! The way you’re influencing my decision right now noh lol. Team momoni over here🤩. FYI, my hubby is not his bougie, he doesn’t like the extra tomatoes and onions. Sis, we are in 2021, have you started the journey?
Yesss!!! Been waiting for this! I usually boil everything together. I start with the yam, eggs and koobi then once it starts boiling I add the kontomire.
Hii..yes please..you can, but if I'm being completely honest, the oil is part of the whole experience lol..if you're making it without the oil, I'd add a little bit more fermented fish to it
Thank you! I actually mentioned that we like the fins on lol (just a preference) but yea a lot of people remove it! Thanks so much for watching! I really appreciate it!!!🥰🥰🥰
@@dolcemariah4123 She literally said that is how SHE likes it & stated the option to take it off if you don't, and please educate us on where it is stated in the Indigenous Ghanaian culinary books that a person is SUPPOSED to take the fins off at all cost by the original creator of Kontomire abom so we learn not to like things the way we like it. I appreciate your distaste of fins on her dish but TRADITION (culture) is dynamic and that is what makes learning NEW things interesting.
@@Mss_Ena Ena, I never said it is stated anywhere in any culinary book in Ghana and Pep did reply on my comment already (sorted) so why the long essay please?? Did I stated anywhere I distaste fins?

Very beautiful... Next time remove the fins of the koobi after boiling or trim it before boiling.

@@PerpetualAsiamah We all do like the fins but just for the outdooring and presentation of our typical Ghanaian koobi in a traditional dish sake.
@@dolcemariah4123 good point. Thanks
