This is Super food 💓 The other day I baked taro in an air fryer and it was so delish 😋 ✌️
I’m so glad I came across your page, as a South African who can’t cook😂😂 I’ve been wanting to learn how to cook Ghanaian meals for my Ghanaian boyfriend. Can’t wait to surprise him! This page is now my holy grail!!
Thank you so much.
This is something I'd actually try. I love coco yam (dasheen) and choyote (cho cho). The fish and avocado sealed the deal, yummm! Jamaican living in Canada
Mouth-watering & nutrients-densed complete meal right there ("Kooko or brobbey ampesie" as its called by the Asantes & Fantes respectively in Ghana).
Fond memories of my late grandmother(who lived passed 100 years) prepping this food in the farm back in the day whenever I went with her.
Just to add to the health benefits of chayote:
1. Support liver function
2. Support healthy pregnancy (Take note: all the queens out there)
3. Promote heart health
Merry Christmas to everyone from the DMV area, 🇺🇸
In Grenada West Indies🇬🇩 it is called Christophine. We use it to soften our meats and also use it in salads. This dish reminds me of our local dish we make with codfish/saltfish. It looks so good and I'm craving it and missing home.
Great 🇬🇭💯✍️
Yea you used salted cod we Ghanaians have it’s equivalent of salted cured tilapia but Sweet chose to follow her cravings. This goes to show our ancestors never forgot the recipes of their roots
@@bigmama5048 , So TRUE! We are ALL connected!
Thanks so much Adjeley. Honestly you have been a great to me, I watch you a lot, I comment occasionally but I tell you the truth that every video you post I try. My whole family knows “Sweet Adjeley “ especially when they hear your background music during cooking. We love you so much. Thanks once again for giving me so much ideas of what to cook. May God bless you with more wisdom and ideas. I just tried the chicken and potatoes you posted yesterday and it’s good. I watch you from Canada 🇨🇦
Wow! This looks delicious!!! I have to try this! Thank you sweet Ajeley!🙏
Love the substitute from eggplant to Cayote. Will try that
yum!! i’m watching from virginia, united states. your recipes always look so flavorful and the bowl for grinding is such a great idea, i’m going to need to invest!
Your fellow Virginia neighbor here! That grinding tools are:
1. Eta or tapoli (made of hard wood)
2. Asanka or Apotowia (black, made of clay)
Hope this helps!! Merry Christmas.
Looks absolutely delicious! Groundnut anyday🥰. Mouthwatering ❤
Hello Chef Sweetie, Coco yams are really yummy and with such delicious Abomu what a sumptuous meal it's going to be especially with fish and ground peanuts it takes it to another level. CHEF 👩🏾🍳 ADJELEY Your presentation is excellent👌😍 💯 neat and colourful well done 🙏🏽. Children are a gift from God and if you are 🤰congratulations 🎉🎊🎁🤗👶👶🏾👼🏾🍼. 💐👸🏽💐🧡💛🧡💛
Please, please! Never call or create the impression that cocoyam is the same as taro. They are different plants and food all together. Only that they're all tuber food with similar leaves.
Taro is bigger and softer compared to cocoyam. Cocoyam leaves is the one sold in the market called (n)kontomire used for stew (abom) or abunabunu soup. The English name for nkontomire should therefore not be mistaken as taro leaves - cocoyam leaves or taro leaves for the plant you're referring to than interchanging them
The food looks good good job mum❤️ much love from Ghana
May God continue to bless and guide you in everything you do. You are such an inspiration to myself and my girls xx
Thank you for all your amazing dishes, even when you are not hungry you just want to get into the kitchen and cook 😋

I remember some time past in the 50-6ps Taro was not valued. If you found remember in your farm you weed them away cus there's are more profitable veggies to sow, but these days you cannot even buy them. I love its flavour alone Aah! Yummy yummilicious, nutritious diet you have made there. From the village in Ghana !
