Here’s a protip: if you’re a goalie, do not overextend. I’ve seen so many goalies act like they’re a forward and leave the goal undefended. The goalpost is your virginity, don’t give it to some random people you’ve never met before.
Just started playing yesterday because my friends recommended I joined them. Was doing pretty good and felt natural getting aton of scores, but as soon as I got into randoms I got a goalie Dubu who was over the center line... 😥
Actually, this is a terrible tip for people looking to go "Pro." While this may be good for new players who need to understand the core mechanics of the game and get a basic understanding of gamesense, "pulling the goalie" for an "extra attacker" is not only an excellent strategy if properly executed, but is literally a type of play you will see in pro play. Even in real hockey, this strategy has won many important games for teams. What you're saying would be better classified as a Training/Rookie Tip for players who do not yet have sufficient Striker knowledge and gamesense.
My first tip is learn to dribble. Dribbling is the act of hitting the core towards the wall such that it bounces back towards you, which lets you do things like getting the core closer to the enemy goal while still having control over it, getting the core around the enemy forwards without needing to pass to a teammate, setting up shot angles you wouldn't normally get, and/or setting up bank shots that let you easily follow up to strike it second. My second tip is to be positive. Celebrate your goals with your team, and encourage your teammates when they make an honest mistake in goal. It's so easy to get discouraged when you are playing, but lifting up your team will help get everyone playing the best they can, and is possibly the single best thing you can do to climb the ranks.
My pro tip which should be obvious: if you're foward, you're not the goalie and should be forward. It has been blowing my mind how often I get randoms playing foward in my goal while not trying to score
To give the forwards some credit, at least at low level play, it's really annoying when you're trying to play forward and some goalies get scored on the moment you lose possession of the core even when you control it for most of the match.
@@victornguyen1175 Play what you're queued up for. Goals are gonna happen, if I clear the ball and you're not forward, they are just gonna shoot it right back and now more goals are being made on me because you wanna be special.
I really hope this game becomes popular in February when it fully releases its such a unique concept to a game kinda like LOL meets Football it’s really easy to get hooked onto the game as well
good god the amount of people i see that just cannot grasp the concept of hitting the ball anywhere but straight forward. if "passes to enemies" was a score category my teammates would be scoring the the triple digits
Playing Kai as a goalie and using his R while I move forward just a bit after hitting core once made me score so many goals or help my team getting one! The tips showed in this video really helped me for many things! Thanks!
another pro tip: as goalie, DONT JUST PASS THE BALL STRAIGHT TO THE ENEMY. focus on clearing the ball or passing it to a teammate. so many goalies i see pass it straight back to the enemy instead of clearing it when they’re able, which actually happened in your video lol
like 2:52 could have EASILY been cleared if u sent it down instead of straight back at the era, which i don’t mean to attack ur gameplay but use it as an example for others
Biggest tip to all players, dont keep shooting ball towards the enemy without a purpose. Most of the time my goalkeeper gets scored on cause he just keeps hitting it back to the striker instead of passing it top or bottom where is ton of space.
Pro tip: don’t always hit the core as soon as it comes to you. If you can, walk with it and wait for an opportunity to pass it or if the enemy leaves and opening for you to exploit. It slows down the tempo of the game and lets people catch their breath. I do this as goalie a lot and it wins games.
my team does a "fakie" i have ball moving towards goalie, team mate directly behind me (close). almost at goalie, i actually back pass. goalie does primary attack thinking if kick towards him, but the backpass allows my mate to kick it in while goalie is on cool down. (very difficult to react since he thought he would hit the ball)
Yo, that's sick! I think what pros do nowadays is they pass to the corner wall so it bounces to themselves before scoring. Helps them get closer (harder to react to) and ruins the goalie's timing!
Real pro tip: change up the pacing and tempo of the game. If you control the pacing then you have the advantage. If you can walk with the core and wait then pass, then go in aggressive then walk with the puck again. Create a unique flow. Don’t let the enemy team control the pacing.
Hiya! FPS is unfortunately not super tweakable at the moment since there isn't any in game options - BUT one thing you can try is if your monitor is at 1920x1080, changing it to 1280x720 will reduce the render strain on your pc and help improve performance!
@@IHeartPieGaming I have a very strange problem. I do not have a strong pc, but I have 60 fps stable, my problem is that the fps drops with each round. Round 1 I have 60 fps, round 2 50 fps, round 3 is already 40 fps, I don't know what to do with it.
drek'ar is an auto ban for my team he is just absolute pain when trying to get the core away from goal as he'll knock goalie (normally pretty bad) into the goal and score tons of free wins that way
what i'd really love to see is a nerf on somme of the higher stagger characters and definitely a nerf on drek's shotgun along with some QOL stuff like not being able to edit and save trainings before a match
that being said i think X is a perfect example of how to make a high stagger character balanced as hes so slow that you can outrun him but the threat of being KO'd by him is so large that you have to run from him which sometimes leaves goal open if you're defending
@@djolelepi WASD is so much better though, when you need to move and attack in different directions at the time, like Juliette ult, you can't do it as well with moba
I use mouse and WASD, but both controller and WASD have different benefits :D. Mouse and WASD gives you better long distance aim since you can pick the exact pixel to fire something on, while controller is better for short range aiming since you can more accurately and quickly go from aim straight up -> aim straight down - a very useful skill for goalies to clear balls with.
@@IHeartPieGaming Yeah, it's also a reaction time thing too, it's gotten better though. Been maining Asher and really enjoying her so far. Now my only gripe is getting knocked out of the ring when trying to recover the core lol.
also remember that you arent nessecarily trying to run after everything all the time you can easily screw the other team with a well placed strike particularly when they go for a long shot on goal
I'm glad it could help! I think even my own play improved a lot just by thinking through this video myself haha. I can't wait to see you destroy me in game soon =P
