I read some history about Barnum & looks like the "romance" part between Jenny Lind & Barnum were fiction in the movie. Apparently it never happened.

I don’t like the movie. It’s a bit all over the place, but the soundtrack is fantastic. Disney is adapting a stage version of this for Broadway. It will probably work better on stage.
