This movie was a trip in theaters. With the surround sound it felt like the seats were vibrating and you were in the tornados. "I have to go Julia. We've got cows." I just spotted a continuity error for the first time after watching this hundreds of times. The tailgate was ripped off of Billy's truck when they lost the Dorothy pack when Jo was driving. Then it was back on again when they unloaded the first Dorothy after Aunt Meg's house was hit.
Twister 1996 is the most accurate tornado film to exist besides a few scenes & some noticeable meteorological errors. Grew up with it 27 years ago now. Absolutely a classic & fun film. Back when this came out surround sound had only just become a thing as well as CGI. Never gets old for me, not when I'm a storm chaser myself. I chase for the National Weather Service in Texas. Just glad you got to see it. That film was a big deal back in 1996, & it still is among storm chasers everywhere. Sequel releases July 19th, 2024. Rip Bill Paxton, Eddie Van Halen, & Philip Seymour. Gone, but not forgotten.
The guy who made you laugh through this whole movie was Philip Seymour Hoffman, one of the finest actors of his generation. It'd be good for you to get to know his work. I doubt the Patreon poll voters would vote for his Oscar-winning Best Actor movie "Capote", or "The Master". They might for "Magnolia", he's wonderful in that. Also in "Almost Famous". Anyway, I hope you get some more PSH, he's amazing.
Just realized you have a movie channel, so looking forward to what’s coming. Twister was impressive when it came out, and it seems to have aged well. You didn’t show it, but one of my favorite moments is the flying cow and I thought we were in trouble when you said no animals better get harmed in the movie. Maybe the cow was just gently deposited in the field next door? See you for the next one! Peace …
As with many movies, artistic license often supercedes meteorological and scientific facts. For instance, in the scene where they're strapped to the piping and airborne, the debris alone would've likely tore them up pretty badly. That being said, I still enjoy this movie for the wild ride and awsome effects. 🌪🐄
One of my very favorite movies. This was the inspiration for most of the "storm chasers" we have today, many of whom live stream (here on RUclips) their travels in tornado prone areas, as well as other forms of bad weather, like hurricanes and snow storms. Many of them are meteorologists and provide information to the National Weather Service so that warnings can get out quicker, as well as often being the first to offer assistance to those injured. While I have never actually chased storms in person, being able to watch others do so is very exciting. I would love to see you react to "Apollo XIII."
I’d like to see u do the Marvel series in order. In the mean time Smokey and the Bandit is a classic must see as well as the movie Convoy. Both filmed in the late 70’s great shows. One a lil more up to date Armageddon is a must see.
Love this movie it's still such a fun watch. Subbed to this channel after being a fan already of your music channel. I'd love to see your movie reactions be a bit longer though. All the best!
There are at least two familiar faces in this movie from other films that you really should have seen by now if you haven't: Cary Elwes who starred in "The Princess Bride" was the antagonist storm chaser, and Alan Ruck who played Cameron in "Ferris Bueller's Day Off" was one of the members of the main storm-chasing team.
He just this week watched Alan Ruck again in "Speed". Which was also directed by Jan de Bont. Coincidence: on Patreon, he asked for solid fun action movies, and "Twister" and "Speed" were two of the three winners voted in (along with "Breakdown").
One of the best movies from the year I graduated high school!! And there were a lot of great movies that year! So many fantastic and hilarious quotes from this!
I'd love to see your reaction to "The Sting", with Paul Newman and Robert Redford. It's about 2 con men in the depression era and was a huge hit, well written, well acted, and starring the two biggest male box office stars at the time. The soundtrack is all Scott Joplin ragtime music - Joplin was the 'King of Ragtime'; you owe it to yourself to hear him!
One of my FAVORITE movies (especially with Bill Paxton (Bill) and Philip Seymore Hoffman (Dusty), RIP to both)!! The family in the beginning make an appearance later in the movie ... in Wakita when they go to Aunt Meg after it went through there. Jonas (Cary Elwes) was in the Princess Bride and Robin Hood Men In Tights (should check out both of them). Rabbit (Alan Ruck) was in the movie Speed (with Keanu Reeves, Sandra Bullock, Dennis Hopper) and Ferris Bueller's Day Off. Many other great movies some of these people have been in! "We got cows!" "I THINK WE'RE GOING IN!!" If you noticed the movie at the drive in, it was the Shining. Another must check! The first one that came out with Jack Nicholson and Shelley Duvall.
Hi , i suscribed your two channzls after i saw your reacts to We are the World, i hope you "ll pick my favorites movies now and then ! Sorry for my bad english, i"m french, i understand but writing or talking ......i'm a disaster ! Kisses from France
We had an F-3 warning about two weeks ago. It was insane. One on top of the other and flood warnings for hours. Living in Tornado Alley isn’t always fun. Cute Trivia: 16:45 The woman putting on lipstick is the woman that played Dorthy in The Wizard of Oz
I JUST started the video and when he said he will walk off if an animal gets sucked up by the twister, and all my brain could think about was "I can't wait to see the reaction to the cow"
Hey SalvoG!! I'm very much liking your movie reactions!! Good Job!! Where do you live in the US?? What kind of weather do you get? I'm in Northeastern Pennsylvania.
Dang I just realized you have started reactions to movies .. cool. Great movie & reactions Salvo👌🏼Just subbed to thos channel as well. Good to b back at least for now. Gonna go check out the rest of ur movie reactions. Peace out 😊
Meteorologically speaking, there is so much nonsense in this movie. Regardless, I absolutely love it. The experience in the theater was awesome. I would love them to remaster it and update the sound and make another theater run. Twister 2 is coming out this year and just have a bad feeling about. No Bill Paxton? No Philip Seymour Hoffman? Meh….
Every single reaction I’ve seen echoes the same thing in the beginning. If they hurt “Toby” the dog, or any other animal, I’m done!! But when dad gets blown into the adjacent county, that’s cool. What’s happened to people?🤔✌🏼😎
Great, great movie! I would love it if you made your reactions a bit longer, pretty please? More like 40ish minutes. Don't worry about people not watching that long, longer (even 50+ minutes) reactions get a ton of views. We're reliving these movies with you and cutting them down too much makes it choppy & disconnected, messes up the experience. Looking forwards to your future reactions!
"He just has a punchable face" he says of the treasure that is Cary Elwes
He’s fantastic
Cow! 😂 still makes me laugh
Another cow! -Jo
Classic movie
After this movie EVERYBODY wanted a Dodge Ram. Their sales skyrocketed because of this movie. RIP Bill Paxton and Philip Seymour Hoffman 🖤

Bow that you mention it, I must get surround system
Wasn’t it just !
Oh... notice the scene where they drive through the whole house on the floor but yet it's sitting on its side... 😂
@@StormChaserMaci. Yeah. They drive up the stairs abd still come out close to the ground. 🤣
@@toodlescae When I noticed that after 10 years.... I just cracked up. 😆

Hear hear a fantastic actor 😊
R.I.P. Bill Paxton (1955-2017)(Terminator, Aliens, True Lies, Titanic, Apollo 13, etc.)
I'm with you. I'm always concerned about the animals.

You know they are making/made Twister 2...

There’s a Twister museum in Wakita now. This film looks so good - thank Steven Spielberg who produced this.

I don't even know how many times I've seen this movie. Tons. It's just fun. Thanks for the reaction.
Saw this in the theater in ‘96. Sound design was incredible.

I saw this in the theater, it was amazing, but I swear I has a stress headache for about three days after.

Absolutely! Also Robin Hood Men in Tights with Cary Elwes.

There’s a KD Lang song on Twister’s soundtrack.
Can't wait!
As a long-time tornado enthusiast this reaction had me over the moon! 🤩 If you enjoyed this one you’ll probably really like “Twisters.”

One of my favorite movies. You did some serious chopping on this edit. No COWS?! 🤣🤣
I recommend the "Kingsman" franchise for over-the-top constant action.
❤🖤♥️ Hope you watch Twisters🙂

Melissa was really amicable. I felt bad for her character
