Another great adventure and video, thanks for sharing them! I did some climbing in the Blanca before and since Touching the Void been thinking about going to Huayhuash. Based on all the videos I saw, though, the Blanca seems to have more stunning mountain views-am I wrong? Huayhuash has the lakes and the remoteness going for it, though.

Huayhuash does have amazing lakes along the way. I don't think you can go wrong with either!

I am wondering which shorter route you took e.g. starting point and ending point? I am planning to do a shorter Huayhuash trek in May.

Hi Becky. Glad you enjoyed the video. I started at Quartelhuain and would recommend finishing at Llamac. You can cut out the Jahuacocha to Paso Rondoy part on the northern part of the loop to shorten it.

I did a 3 day trip from queropalca to tres lagunas. There's a tour company called mini huayhuash that will pick you up in lima. I got their WhatsApp info and set it up easy
