Hey...can you please make a video about how to travel, and book trips, hiking, budget and everything. Please I wanna learn more about these amazing trips. Thank you very much
The no-talk videos are a kind of meditation to me and very immersive. I love them. Your style of editing and cinematography also emphasize this. I'd be sad to see those kinds of videos disappear completely, because I think you've perfected this format. That being said, your passion for what you're doing obviously is important and it's understandable that you want to experiment.
This time he hikes with a bunch of people in group. It wont make sense for him to put the tripod , walk away, and get back to retrieve the camera. It will slow the group down. And its 11 days trip , 80 miles on high altitude. It will be easier to just have vlog style this time.
Moi aussi d ailleurs un mec le fait je les aie toutes vues ct fabuleux! Les paroles ne sont pas nécessaires bien au contraire, ça enlève plus la beauté des paysages! Vous devriez tourner vos vidéos magnifiques comme ça
I think this is some of the most beautiful landscape I’ve seen. Your photography is exceptional. It’s not often watch a RUclips video and literally have my breath taken away.
Train yourself Walk yourself See yourself Feel yourself BE yourself Others only can give you the motivation and advise on how to do it, only you can make them into reality.
True. This man hikes in some of the most beautiful places in the world. Most people will never get to experience a fraction of the incredible scenery this guy has seen.
Loved the old “quiet” format but also really enjoy this new style with your immediate reactions. Love that I rarely have even heard of the places you go. Keep them coming.
We just finished our "Huayhuash" trekking (Aug 10th - 21th) and back to Canada now. We shared almost the same itinerary and it brought back a lot of great memories. Thanks for sharing it with us.
I like both formats. This was a refreshing change from the solo, non-vlog type, which I loved when you went to it. I'd say, solo hikes are better with less vlog and voice-overs and group hikes are better in this style, since it captures your experience with the people as well as the sights.
La atmósfera, el ambiente, los paisajes son una locura por algo según los entendidos el circuito de Huayhuash está dentro de los 5 mejores del mundo, sin duda un trekking que tienes qué hacerlo por lo menos una vez en tu vida.
There is an undeniable intrinsic beauty to these videos that I experienced for the first time in 2020. I can happily say, I'm still experiencing it. Thanks for sharing what you do, Kraig - it is what brings me peace each time I view one of your carefully crafted videos. Take care! :)
Loving this new style and format. Images are so amazing, never thought you can see such beautiful mountains in Perú. It's so nice to hear about you when you talk to the camera, your impressions, how you feel. It's more personal and fun. Keep them coming, Kraig!
I love this vlog style of filmmaking, you do it exceptionally well. This style offers more spontaneity and insight, for example, you informing us of the slight symptoms of altitude sickness early on in the hike, explaining the vast temperature and elevation changes as you were experiencing it, etc. Peru is breathtakingly beautiful, I can see why you love it. The puppies, 🐕🐕 always so cute to see them on the trail and in your videos. Well done! 👏🏼
I lived in Lima for a few years. Seeing you visit peru so much really puts a smile on my face and hits me with so much nostalgia. Thanks for visiting Peru so much.
Hey man thinking about moving there from the states, what tips would you give yourself before you moved? How’s getting a job over there for foreigners?
@@tradertom4843 so I stayed there for religious purposes and never had an actual job. If you plan to travel to Lima I would recommend the nicer part like La Molina. Or a city outside of Lima. Lima is one crazy city. But I’m general, be sure to learn as much Spanish as possible as hardly anyone there will speak English. I probably met maybe 2 people in my 2 years there. Take some stomach medicine with you to help acclimate to the food. Don’t drink tap the water. And know that if you’re white like me, you’ll probably get stared at haha. But Peru is quite the amazing place once your settled in.
@@tradertom4843 hey there. I lived in Lima, in a residencial district called Lince, near san isidro and miraflores, but cheaper, and super safe to hang around and rent a place there. you can go walking to Miraflores (the sea side), you could also look fir flats in Jesus Maria, another charming district, medium class, with locals and plenty of green parks. In my experience I met a lot of youngsters who spoke english, specially those who have more money and go to private universities. La Molina, is far away from Lima center, actually locals don't consider it Lima :-) ...too far for my taste. About being stared because you are white?, i didn't feel it at all. In fact, in the area where i lived there were many caucasian peruvians, remember there are many races in Peru, not just native Americans :-). Go for it!.
Kraig, great video. My girlfriend and I ran into you at the California Cafe the day before you left so stoked to see how your hike turned out. We went on the Santa Cruz Trek. Wow, did your trek deliver. 11 days is longer than anything I've done too but after seeing your footage it is definitely on the list. Nothing like being acclimatized out there! And Peruvian dogs are th best. Good work as always!
Bravo on these videos. I just discovered you. Your style of letting the landscape and people tell the story is great. It’s great when you talk and it’s great you don’t say more than is necessary. You’ve got a gift for filmmaking. Look forward to more.
Damn, this is such beautiful video and scenery. This channel along with Mediocre Amateur are two of the best hiking / outdoor video channels on all of RUclips. OMG that view at 11:06
looks like these guides took good care of you and your group, they did all the cooking for you guys this is amazing. what an amazing video thank you for sharing
can’t get enough of these. i‘m watching this episode while laying in my tent in the alps. waiting for the sun to rise for a beautiful panorama over the engelberg region and its lakes.
I can understand why you have been to Peru three times. It was stunning. I also prefer the style in which you did this trek. More of this please. Take care, be safe. ❤️ Dorset, UK
I love the new format! It definitely is more engaging but I do love the silent hikes as well with commentary at the end. But all in all this format was so fun to watch
Thanks Kraig for another great video of an amazing hike. I’m glad that you’re keeping it fresh, experimenting with new formats, and a minimal approach to the videography. I love your drone footage because it allows you to create stunning landscape views that you couldn’t see from ground level. You’re showing off the beauty of nature in a way one can only see from the mountain tops or window of a plane. From personal experience I prefer hiking with friends, so it’s nice to see that you’ve got company too. What a fantastic and awe inspiring location!
I do like this new format, I think I prefer to get your thoughts on things in the moment, the handheld style appeals to me more mixed with some of the stunning drone shots you captured.
Just emphasising on what many other commenters already said: I very much enjoy both styles and do think that a mix of both is the best way. It''s the best of both worlds! Obviously you should always put your health be it mental or physical first, so do whatever you feel is best for you, Kraig! I and many many others love your videos and it is not just for the relaxing solo hikes, but for you! I think you are such a blessed soul and you help many people see sights they mightve never seen otherwise, giving glimpses in other cultures and landscapes. Keep up the amazing world and pursue what you love most!
Thanks for sharing such amazing view of the mountains, lakes, and glaciers. It gives me such a sense of tranquility and wish I can be there in person to experience these views myself, too.
Kraig, Amazing video! I did the HuayHuash in 2018. I can only say you've captured it perfectly. It took me right back and smiling with the memory. There's nothing like those peaks and scenery. With a lot of these experiences there are tough moments but that's what makes it all the more memorable. A big thank you for bringing it all back. Get in touch if you ever want a travel buddy 🙂
I love watching your lovely, beautiful video...i love watching the Andes Mountains, they are awesome. To me your video is a beautiful documentary..love and greetings!!! From your new subscriber from Tagaytay City, the Philippines.
I watched this with a friend and our jaw was in our laps at the beauty over and over and over. You make such polished videos and are such a handsome, pleasant host.
I just noticed the photo/painting on the wall at 1:56 sure looks a whole lot like the lake(s) in the salvo of quick clips at the beginning of this magnificent piece of videography.
Great job,I love the footage! I enjoy the live narrative as you hike. Does your wife enjoy hiking? I know I enjoy it when my wife joins me ,even just on a day hike or a 1 nighter Thanks
Cool thanks for the footage! I want to go back there soon .I did this trek at the age of 27 in 1999 my GF and I completed this portion in 10 days but it was a part of a 90 day trek we had no pre planning we just kinda showed up in Peru with Backpacks and ski mountaineering gear . We were self sufficient with no Mules , we ran low on food a couple of times, and there was still some Sendero Luminoso stuff going on and a standoff in a mountain pass ,near the ruins of Chavin. We finished off the hike, then got a Dugout canoe we bought and paddled the Ucayali River and the Amazon River.
Kraig, I think I like you commenting on the vids more than the silent ones... we get more info on the spot that way... keep it going, we love your adventures!!!
The experiment worked. I love the silent solo videos but this was great too. I don't like group treks as a rule but this did look like a lot of fun and the food looked epic!
Book the same trip with the exceptional team at Quechuandes and tell them Kraig says hi - quechuandes.com
any sugggestion how much per person?
Thank you
Hey...can you please make a video about how to travel, and book trips, hiking, budget and everything.
Please I wanna learn more about these amazing trips.
Thank you very much
Which hike on the website is it?
@@eritrea91foundation61 - I just did the 5 day Salkantay Trek and it was right at 3500 all in. Half of that was my flight.
@@slurpeyatari thank you,

I agree. I love the silent hiking ones.
I'd love it if you checked out my Mount Ida video on my channel and let me know what you think? it is edited in calm, meditative manner.
Kinda miss that too

I like this format with commentary in addition to the world class cinematography, truly a pleasure to watch.
Agreed! His original format was unique. This new format for this trip better, but doesn't differenciate from the dozens of other travel RUclipsrs
I totally agree. It is similar to my way of filming the alps.
I tried commentary on my recent hiking documentary, I'd appreciate any feedback on it.
Hello! Thank you for the beautiful sharing 😃 The scenery is amazing. Enjoyed watching. Happy Friday! 😊
The beauty of Peru is out of this world! Politics aside, a gorgeous country with beautiful and great people. I hope to visit the country one day.
Politics aside, the whole world is gorgeous!! Beautiful people all over!!
I was inspired by Kraig and just got back from doing the Salkantay Trek. It was amazing and suggest everyone do it.
@@slurpeyatari I did it....did you end up in Aguas Calientes??...Marvelous trek.
Didn't know that Peru has so many places to visit and they are so amazing. Thank you for educating me
Perus got the mountains, desert, and jungle. There’s so much to see.
You must not know enough about the world not to know Peru is one of the most diverse countries on the planet.
One of those places on Earth that can be called 'Heaven on Earth' ! A lot of thanks.

I concur with this statement
Same.. I like both formats.
But it's the time of the year when Kraig is due for an updated gear-list video... :) :) #KraigsGearList_UpdatePls :)
