Your channel is a part of my life's routine. Every time you drop a video, I would watch it from start to end. It's always a great pleasure to travel with you. Thanks! : )
I've hiked this exact route twice with the Boy Scouts over the years! You capture the energy and the essence of the trail so well. the House at 8:10 is iconic!
Thanks for this video, Kraig. I'm thinking about doing this with my buddy in a few months and this video is hands down the best one on Enchanted Valley.
Love your videos Kraig! You inspired me to get into photography and document my family’s upcoming journey around the country. Thanks for doing what you do!
Awesome hiking adventure. Loved coming along. What a magical place. Love all the beautiful views, forestry, ⛺️ camping, cooking and snow ⛄️ what a great adventure. It was also great to hear about your experiences and tips 👍🏽🙏🏽⛺️
Ugh, I’m from Washington but I moved out of the country a couple years back. I am missing it. This video really brought back so many feelings and memories from hiking around WA.
Trekking and backpacking in amazing and beautiful places is a healing and rechargeable exercise. I'm lucky to see a bear.Happy hiking. Safe hiking Have a nice day ♥️😊
I love all your content so the group experience was another appreciated dimension . The random sound bites of conversation around camp were perfect. Constant yakking gets old and the sprinkling of ambient sounds was terrific
Kraig, thank-you for the effort put into making this video. I thoroughly enjoyed watching this trekking adventure. As for your move to Denver, may your time in Colorado be fulfilling.
Thanks for this Kraig. Great work as always! This piece was timely for me as I and a friend are heading out to Olympic next month to do that very route. So you gave me a lot of additional information. Congratulations on your move. I love following your work and am intrigued by the idea of you leading some treks. I’ll have to give that some further thought…peace!
Welcome back to Washington State!! It was so beautiful to see the green rainforest and snow in your adventure. It's a big change you are hiking in a group!
Always delivery the goods, amazing video. Love how everyone is just so chill about a giant bears. We don't get bears in the UK and it's safe to say I would not be chilled!
This is precisely the trail I've wanted to do for years . . . and years. Your topo view revealed it's just as described, straight up in all directions except the way in and out.
Kraig! This is awesome. I did a similar hike up thru Quinault up past Hayden Pass and looped back down through Enchanted Valley. Awesome area to be hiking, though you went when there was much more snow. Happy trails!
Kraig, something local you might be interested in, since you moved to CO is the Pfiffner Traverse. Never managed to do it but wanted to while I was living in CO. Not that well known but should be spectacular.
Super Cool to see the place a little later in the season, I was just up here in the middle of May. You guys got a lot more sunny days than I got! Hope you enjoy Colorado, I moved out here to go to college in Fort Collins and have not regretted it! Safe travels!
Bro I love to see you using the Nemo Hornet 1P. It was my first big hiking investment and I absolutely love it. Your videos are an inspiration, man. Keep it up!
Was just there the week before you Kraig. Cool to see you hiking in a group, I'm sure you were A great inspiration to all these hikers. We tried to go to Anderson Pass but White Creek was running pretty high. FYI O'Neal Camp is 7 miles in and Enchanted Valley Chalet is 13.5 miles in. Thanks for sharing another great video.
Do you need reservations for Graves Creek Campground to leave your var there? Must you carry a bear canister? If not, do they allow hanging food at night? Thanks
Kraig--great adventure! Nice to see you in Washington and it brought back fond memories of my own Enchanted Valley trek several years ago--minus the snow. I am not a big fan of snow on backpack trips, so I always do my Olympics or Cascades trips later in the season. You got to see so many bears--we didn't see bears or elk on our trip. I have also done that trip from the other side, up over Anderson Pass and then down into Enchanted Valley.
Certainly a different experience hiking with a larger group! I myself am mainly solo hiking and I really felt that when you mentionned you push for longer harder days while having less of a camp life, but it holds its own uniqueness and beauty to it especially when I am recording my footage. It does look like a nice change of pace and the camp life looks fantastic for the group aspect, but I would have trouble as I really enjoy the push, the challenge and just love setting my own standard for speed, breaks, camps, start time etc. If I am not solo hiking I get my girlfriend and son out for nice slower days, but I dont quite have any hikers in my local friend group currently to have the group hiking as an option.. Looks like everyone enjoyed themselves and perhaps we'll cross paths on the trail someday! Happy Hiking 🥾
Lol we did this trail last June and it rained every single day! We wildly underestimated how truly muddy the entire trail is. I would love to go back someday but not without a tarp... Cool seeing you in a group! You should do the Hoh River to Blue Glacier trail next time! I would love to see a video of that!!
The entire pacific northwest has not gotten major snowfall for a few years now so it is wonderful to hear that Washington's has stayed even through some melt.
O'Neil Pass up to Lake of the Valkyries and Anderson Glacier (that is all but gone) is a late season day-trip. Been there many times (4 that I can think of, easily) with and without bears. The lake used to be milk-white, you could hear the glacier cracking and popping as it moved down the valley, up to the very edge of the lake, and the whole valley looked like a different planet. It probably had a lot to do with the verdant forests one has to travel through to get to bare rock and 100's of feet of compressed, blue ice. Sadly, the last time I was there (late 90's) Anderson glacier had receded far up the valley and last reports I saw state that it is now gone. Still, would love to see the lake and surrounding boulders again. Thanks for sharing!
Came face to face with a large black bear there while hiking. But as soon as we both realized it, it took off in the opposite direction , taking out a bunch of branches and shrubs probably just as scared if not more
Gingerly is one of my favorite words! Although it doesn’t quite work to describe a slow trek, I bet it would still work to describe your newbies as it mean carefully or cautiously. I also use it as soft or sweetly. Ex She gingerly move the hair out of her face. Lol either way I loved this video! I’m a novice hiker and a vicarious backpacker! I think you just provided me with what I needed to take the plunge into it! I can’t wait to see your next group trip!
This is my back yard, I spend weekends here every summer! I’ve always loved your content and it was awesome to see you somewhere I’ve spent so much time myself!
I love all of your solo hikes and videos. But I can’t see you really enjoying this type of group hike where you have to play host, wait for the slowest person, consider the needs/wants of others, deal with videography, etc.. Nothing against the other hikers because they’re inspired by your videos just like I am. But in my mind, you’re most free and natural as a solo hiker. Safe journeys always!
I like the solitariness of your usual trips and the quietness, but this is a nice change.
Do you know the YT channel of Harmen Hoek? He is the best!
It's much better this style he has changed to, more human noises lol!
Your channel is a part of my life's routine. Every time you drop a video, I would watch it from start to end. It's always a great pleasure to travel with you. Thanks! : )
The random commentary is actually quite relaxing too! Good job on editing the audio to make it almost seamless across shots
I've hiked this exact route twice with the Boy Scouts over the years! You capture the energy and the essence of the trail so well. the House at 8:10 is iconic!
I just got back from an Oregon - Washington road trip myself! You captured olympic so extremely well. Such a beautiful, peaceful place.
Enchanted Valley is amazing! Glad to have had a chance to visit, twice and even see the bears!
My home state! Absolutely love everything about Washington. Thank you for your videos!

One of my favorite places, too often rains but when the sun comes out it is just glorious, North Cascades National Park is even better.

Hiking in a group has an insane vibe that you cant compare with something else. Good stuff!
I year for the woods with a group of close friends
It' so fresh to see you Kraig in a group. Definitely a different vibe but you serve them well. Looking forward to your next group hikes!

My dog: Hiked Arthur's rock a few days ago. So much good hiking here up the canyon or in RMNP and then farther there's just so much more.
Ah my beloved Olympic National Park. Hope you all had a great time.
Kraig strikes again! As someone just getting started making these kinds of films your content is like the goal man, it's so good.
