@@michaelalcala6087 as regards input lag for PS3, there's no problem at all, everything is smooth, the graphic also could not be better. On PS4 I don't know yet...but I m more than optimistic

hey joelster is the difference with picture quality of this monitor vs the 4k ew32 monitor hdr that you reviewed a few months ago that drastic or is it similar despite one being 1080p HDR and one being 4K HDr using the PS4?

this one is way better than 32GK650, i have seen both and used . only good thing about LG 32GK650 is bit better back level but not that much though. and the viewing angle on LG 32GK650 sucks.
Hi Joelster. Thank you for the great review. I am considering buying this monitor. I have a question. My Xbox One S does not allow me to select the "Allow HDR" option which my current monitor does not support. But on the BenQ, as you showed, it does allow you to check the box. Wouldn't that mean it does support this feature? Just curious because I've seen posts about Xbox not allowing use of HDR without a 4K resolution screen. Really difficult to find answers on this
Yes but the 1S doesn't support HDR for gaming only for movies and also the 1X only supports HDR in 4k resolutions.
Can you do a second video some of the clips like modern warfare gameolay are blurry and the spiderman one has blue lines

Well this is the newer version of the ew277hdr, both are very similar. If you like better contrast and black levels go for the ew277hdr.

Both are great monitors, this one has slightly better colors and also Freesync.

When looking at the monitors make sure it says 120hz or 144hz. U need 1 millisecond response time too for competitive

Yes for the new consoles the LG C9 or the new CX are the best options right now, especially if you game.
JoelsterG4K deciding to get the CX now, just worried about burn-in now, and I’m not sure what LG’s warranty covers on the CX.

As for right now, I haven't seen a monitor with HDMI 2.1 which would be ideal for the new gen consoles, so if you want 4K with HDR and freesync the BenQ EW3280U and if you prefer performance the BenQ EX2780Q 1440p/144hz which you can use the 1440p/120hz option with Freesync and HDR.

Monitors certified with HDR has at least 400 nits of peak brightness.. Its the bare minimum.. I pressume that one you got has 400 nits since its on the budget category same as my Benq EW277HDR with 400 nits peak brightness..
What about the black level? As deep as a good VA panel?
I still have to choose which one to buy between the model he reviewed and the ew277hdr model. The one in the video looks like a good monitor, the ew277hdr gas a VA panel but it is older.

It doesn't play in 4k which you would want to take advantage of. It'll work but you'd want a 144hz 4k monitor

I think I speak for Everyone when I say. We don't do 1080p monitors in 2020. Especially monitors that lack 10-bit color and 144hz. And 24" inches 108pp 75hz, wtf ? 2008 called they forgot their monitor. You must have a good friend at BenQ they keep sending you their lowest end products. Keep up the excellent LG C9 content.
This is a budget monitor, not everyone can afford $600-$800 or even $1500 dlls on an Oled TV so I try to cover something for everyone.

Very bad monitor for 200$ because it is 75hz but good when you buy this monitor for WATCHING movies
Its not bad for casual gaming on consoles, if you want better performance check out the EX2780Q, similar IPS display but 1440p/144hz.
