- The second of two episodes oil painting and camping on an Australian outback River!
Join me on a Journey into the Australian Outback, camping cooking and capturing the beauty around me in oil paint! I've designed a special painting box for the canoe that enables me to carry fresh wet oil paintings. Now I can get into to some fantastic painting locations and easily bring the wet painting safely back to camp! Spend some time with me on the river and enjoy the serenity.

Glad you’re enjoying my videos Hazel! Many thanks 🎨🎨🎨
............ wow! Love your works as always! ......& watching now💜💙💚
Fantastic! Thanks 😊
У Вас замечательный вкус.Вы всегда выбираете замечательные сюжеты,очень быстро наносите на холст увиденный пейзаж,передавая настроение,отражение на голубой воде деревьев(а в реальности вода зелёная).Супер!
Many thanks 🤩
Art Spectrum is an excellent Aussie brand! As good as any international paint. Acrylic or oils. Thanks for the videos. Always inspiring.
It is a great brand of paint 🎨 Cheers Shirley and thanks 😊
Excellent work 👍 A lesson in not over working the paint and achieving a spectacular result.
Glad you enjoyed it Jeff!!!
Oh Richard this picture is absolutely stunning, you’ve completely blown me away with this angelic light composition, it’s truly wondrous, I’m always in awe of how you live and work, and of how you journey each time upon the majestic river, searching for a story to tell in your painting, and each time you manage to capture the beauty of the light and the land within your hands... Bravo.. exquisite ✨👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻✨
Glad you enjoyed it! I really like this painting and how it turned out!!! Thanks :-)
I admire your calm into that nerverness you show in your painting,
Regards from Montreal Canada.
Hey thanks!
Thanks a lot for the beautiful journey in these landscapes and in your wonderful paintings!
My pleasure Jacqueline😊
The last painting was a joy to watch you paint with the knife close-up!
That’s great Robert! Glad you enjoyed!!!
I love both these paintings, it’s wonderful to watch you paint, Richard. I look at your palette when you zoom in at the end and think what wonderful abstract paintings they would make as well ☺️🎨, another sideline perhaps 😉. Enjoyed this video very much.
Awesome! Thank you Lynne!
Un régal de vous voir à l'oeuvre! Et merci pour la qualité de vos vidéos, j'aime vos peintures et j'adore découvrir ces paysages ... Le bonjour de France!
C'est fantastique! Merci de me le faire savoir!
Hi Richard!!! There is a force end a harmony sensational in the video ....... thank!!!!!!! Cheers!!!!! :) 👍
Much appreciated Stefania!
Hi Richard, wow that was a bonus after watching your last one. What a great trip you went out on. Paintings are great and thanks for all the background work you show. Its like a story, and very enjoyable as well as a great learning experience. Cool to see the technique you used in the sky of the smaller painting and the thickness of the paint for the clouds. What an effect. Thanks for sharing and being so generous. Bill
G'day Bill, thanks mate! Glad you enjoyed it!!!
You are awesome Richard beautiful work as always thanks for sharing !!
You are very welcome Mireille, thanks!!!
Richard it's a great work , very inspiration l love your beautiful paint present and unique technique of color bring harmony is absolutely amazing, the composition are all masterfull Thanks Congratulations
You are very welcome!
G'day mate. A smaller painting but no less spectacular. A real treat to watch this last night and revisit this morning. Love your excursions along the river in the canoe, such contrast and tone in the trees along the bank. Many times, I thought what a great shot for a camera or indeed your knife. You bring the outback alive with your videos my friend. You capture it with passion and integrity. Thank you. Cheers, Rich
Hey thanks, I do love it out on the River! Appreciate your thoughts and feedback 😊🎨😊
Очень сильно, умно и эмоционально. Я восхищён. Проживаю с тобой время на пленэре, словно реально нахожусь возле твоего фургона .Ты чемпион!
Фантастический! Рад, что вам понравилось!
SUPERB!!!
Thanks a lot! Cheers :-)
Love it Richard. Gotta love the magenta....
Yes OLDGOLD, cheers!!!
Nice painting
Thanks very much aparna Saha!!!
Beautiful colors!
Thank you Victoria! Cheers!
Hi Richard, thank you not only for another wonderful painting but for all the tranquil and quite scenes you brought along with them. 🤟🏻🇩🇪👍
Thanks Dirk, glad you liked it all!
Hi Richard, whoah- another beauty! The color harmony, the vertical format, and the composition are all masterful . I love to paint on linen as well, and never thought to save the border and make it an element. It was really a very nice feature. John
Many thanks John! Appreciate the feedback mate, cheers :-)
Very inspiring for me as an aspiring novice ! Thanks Richard, for generosity sharing your techniques and bush images
The painted Murray river scenes are nostalgic for me especially combined with your eye for colour, tones and composition.
Thanks again and please keep uploading your gems.
Hey thanks Ian, will do! Cheers for appreciating 🎨👍😊
Excellent painting and composition.. The edge tape trick and then the blue water leading the eye and then flanked by the strong darks on the left and right.. But then the light blue sky..tops it all off!
Hey thanks Robert! This is one of my favourites!!!
@@richardmusgrave-evans9886 and mine!
@@robertfredrickson960 That's great! Thanks!!!
@@richardmusgrave-evans9886 May I ask what about it makes it one of your favorites?
@@robertfredrickson960
I would say the simplicity of the work that tends to create a canvas of moving light and hues. Though not simple in technique but visually...the eyes absorbing the structure in all its splendour.
That is what I see Robert. A fine emotional artist.
I just love your work and the locations that you enjoy and share. Thank you Richard
Glad you like them Patricia!
Yes very much. Which beach were you?
Jimmy 2 times doing the intro? That second picture is stunning Richard. Those colours are exactly my cup of tea. Also love your choice of music, very beautiful.
Hi Jimmy, yes I was startled by the fish jumping out of the water on the first intro, so I started again! Lol🎨😊
@@richardmusgrave-evans9886 🤣. Better a fish than a croc. It's no doubt my Irish naivety but anywhere I see water in Australia I think of croc's. Just incase you were unsure the jimmy 2 times was a goodfellas reference.🤗. The 1st painting you did was beautiful but the 2nd one, those colours stir up emotions in me that I struggle to understand, it's why I ditched the pencil for paint. Thanks for the vids, I enjoy not just the painting but also the Bush tucker stuff.
That’s great 😃 Glad you’re enjoying the whole lot!!! Happy painting 🧑🎨
Made my day! Fab as ever Richard. Thank you for sharing your wonderful skills.
Wow thats fantastic, thank you!
Wow. This is spectacular. Made my heart skip a beat. Stunning painting
Thank you Helen! Cheers!
Mesmerising. I just love watching the beauty unfold before my very eyes. Merry Christmas Richard.
Hey fantastic Lisa! Thanks for letting me know 🎨🎄👍😊
Another brilliant painting, Richard! One idea I would like to see is maybe twice during your painting , you stop and show 30 seconds of close-ups of the strokes and lines, with music, just to keep us intimately involved. Using another camera for that , I assume. What do you think?
Keep it up! You are doing great!
Could be a interesting idea! Cheers Mate!!!
Gorgeous painting! Thanks for sharing the process. Brilliant work.
Cheers Christine! Thanks 😊
As always - at height!!! Bravissimo, my Hero!!!❤️
Wow, thank you!

@@richardmusgrave-evans9886 Your paintings are sculptural movements on canvas; a momentary frame of color and emotion with personal interpretation.
Enjoy your natural view-points.
Gorgeous work as usual and I love your use of linen. I'm in Oregon USA, come visit the great NW some time.
Hi Ronda, the linen works great! Sounds like a fantastic idea 🎨👍
Richard, I love your work and your enthusiasm. To watch you paint is absolute pleasure. However your camera is struggling with exposure. It meters to prevent overexposure of your shirt and hat which are in full sun, by closing down. In doing so it underexposes your painting, which is in the shade, and makes it very dark. Are you able to extend an overhang so you are out of the full sun? I think that would work well.
Love your work and I love the magic of the outback.
Cheers Lissa, good ideas!!!
Fantastic stuff Richard. Thanks again for bringing the amazing Aussie landscapes to light on canvas. Or, as seems the go now, on linen. What a great new dimension. If you don't mind, where can I access linen stretched or on board. I'm on the Gold Coast and have to give it a go. Keep up your brilliant work. Love it!

beautiful place, even better painting 👏👏, love the reflections..pretty sure I saw an alligator, kidding, are there any?
Thanks Mate! Lol, no alligators or crocs!!!
What’s the bird at 8 minutes? Beautiful song. Great content from start to finish
Thanks sylvianblue! Not sure what that bird's name is, but I agree, it's beautiful!!!
Hey Richard.... that pole with the spike on it hanging off your truck strikes me as an eye injury waiting to happen.... I understand that it must be useful for something as you dont seem like the kind of guy who sets up traps for yourself..... can you think of any way that you could put it out of the way while you paint? or is it a lot further from your face than it looks on the video?
ALSO I LOVE your painting style, and the painting is gorgeous. Marylin
Yes, I did have to watch out for it! keeps me on my toes!!! Thanks Marylyn, cheers :-)
I was thinking the same thing.
It's clearly for his canopy. WAKEY WAKEY.
It does look dangerous, Richard, to this old lady from Florida. We don't want you getting hurt, dear, you bring special gifts to this world.
👍 👍👍👍🌻
Many thanks!!! :-)
Hola estimado y apreciado Richar, puefo preguntar que soporte utiliza pata pintar, es tela o madera??
Espero su atenta respuesta. Muchas} gracias. Desde Chile.
¡Hola gracias! Es lino belga :-)
What material is your Pallett made of? I love the sound of knife on it.
It is 5mm marine plywood!

Lol, no it okay!
towards the end, when he paddled away in the canue, guess what! He for got his camera!.oky, so he went back and retreaved it, but then he started mumbeling to himself , couldent understand anything said! His paintings turn out great though! "mabey he was eating peanut butter and crackers!
Time to buy a fishing rod.
Hi Lori, Iol, yes 👍
A fishing rod won't save him from the crocs when he's on the rivers.
@@europeanroyalty4778 Crocs on the river may be better then cougars in the bar.
