Love the La-7, I first heard of it when it was announced for DCS and I couldn't wait so I reinstalled war thunder and grinded the russian tech tree until the La-7 and really enjoyed this plane, I also discovered the Yak-3 which is very fun to fly. Time to come back to this plane hehe
I have very little experience with the French tech tree. What do you think is the strongest aspect of the D.510? I'm sure I can be tempted to fly it :)
@@involuntarycommander8804the plane have a very good turn rate, as much as roll rate, but with being maneuverable it have a strong 20mm in the nose (extremely good in it's br) with a few ammo wich is it's counterpart
My suggestion to you is the Ki-44-II Hei. Absolutely MONSTROUS climb rate for its BR. Good turning and rolling ability. Decent speed (can outrun Spitfires at 606 kph as long as you doge their shots), and decent armament (4 x 50cals if you want to give them another shot ; >). Only problems it has is that it locks up in a dive at 550kph and has basically paper thin armour like the Zero. Still, if you love turning and rolling around your enemies, I think you'll enjoy the Ki-44 series.
Update, I take some of what I said back. The speed, guns, and roll rate are still good, but the turning ability of the Ki-44 in sim battles is a bit hampered by the instability the fighter has. It REALLY likes to yaw to one side and the only trim you get is for the elevator. You can still get kills in it, but it is a bit annoying.
It's one of the planes that I always feel a bit scared of going against. It's usually piloted by skilled players, and I don't know enough about it to make good decisions. I haven't made a video of a Japanese plane yet so its maybe this one or the zero! Thanks for the suggestion:)
Can you do a video on the P-51 Mustang, seems like it would fit your boom & zoom style. Also as a sim player, I'd like to keep a picture-in-picture of the cockpit view all the time, to learn from what you're doing in the moment. The 3rd person is useful for theatrical footage, but the in cockpit is more useful as a learning tool. thanks!
Hey man! I could do the P-51, the D's are a bit more difficult to fly than the C, but they have that nice bubble canopy and iconic mustang look so I would like to do one of the P-51D's. Alright, thanks for the advice!:)
Would love to see P51D variant. Absolutely beautiful and iconic plane and you have a lot of control over when you want to engage an enemy with your speed. High speed maneuverability is also great and you can dogfight even bf109k4s if you stay fast
Yeah, the P-51 is iconic. I think the P-51 D variants are a bit unstable but It's manageable! Other than that it's a lovely aircraft I could boom n zoom in all day :)
I think an onboard camera(GoPro style) on the nose, wings and tail would be cool shots during fights. Idk if you would be able to do that in the replay system.
these are great videos... Ive been wanting to get into sim but dont wanna do it alone if i dont have to. is there some group or discord server for training or somthing?
@@involuntarycommander8804 im a big fan of 9.7-10.3. F8E, and the A-10, but never can go wrong with 2.7-3.7 American props. (Im a USA main all my other countries are 6.0 or lower )
Watching this makes me want to go back to War Thunder. I haven't played in years but I have over 1000 air to air kills in SB. How is the state of SB right now ?
Low tier is good 👍 top tier is changing with new stuff coming out. But I think War thunder is the best sim game if you play solo and have less time on your hands.
@@involuntarycommander8804 Definitely worth the effort. Until a couple years ago i've been helping to manage and flying a lot on the Skies of Valor server, which was based on the old IL2 1946. If you haven't already tried, i recommend winging up with others. We were mainly using BnZ tactics and got out alive way more often than being shot down.
It's trackIR by the looks of it. The best option for head tracking in sims. There are cheaper alternatives though - either you can use an air mouse for a mouse look, or face tracking with the simple webcam. Air mouse is an option available for consoles as well, and I think, it's the only option. Although both alternative solutions are kinda meh compared to trackIR, they are better than using hat switches for looking around.
Thanks man! Yes, think about the pros and cons of VR vs TrackIR before buying. I got TrackIR 5 years ago because VR wasn't that good. Now that VR is better it could be nice. But you still have the issue of being blindfolded which can make it difficult to find buttons and so on.
Hi brother, I hope you read this. You have inspired me to open my own RUclips channel since I discovered your videos. I really like your style, would you like to play together?😄
Hey, I'm glad I can inspire. Good luck! I usually fly solo as I can not commit to specific times when I play. But you can add me in game and we'll see if we catch each other online.
I would probably say it as I pronounce 'jungle' but I am sure I'm not consistently doing that as I am not a native English speaker. I'm sure you will forgive me ;)

Agreed
I appreciate it 🙏
Was wondering when you’d post again, your videos are very entertaining

Yeah, the massive engine gives so much acceleration and climb rate. It's just a shame it can't dive! Or I would boom n zoom all day.
@@involuntarycommander8804 you should really check out the c202EC, all around great performer in sim, very underrated imo

Yeah this video was a bit short. I think next one will be longer!
Longer 1 hour long vids would be dope@@involuntarycommander8804

great gameplay as always gotta watch out with going slow in an la-7 as their thrust tanks near stall speeds

whats your trim settings for the la7? and how do you not flatspin whenever you try defensive manuevers?

IR Head tracker called TrackIR
