I have put together two AR-15s chambered in 223 Wylde, one barrel is a 16”, and the other is 18”. I took the standard 62 grains M855 @100yards to see how accurate this stuff is, shooting the best that I could from both barrels about three-inch groups not good but typical accuracy for military ammunition. Next up is PMC X-Tac 62 grains green tip from 100 yards/meters 1.1” group both barrels; accurate stuff costing per box of twenty rounds $24. You're seeking an accurate load; this is the stuff to buy. I am also looking at the
Federal’s Fusion line in MSR 62 grains projectile, I would favor this round over any others from what I have watched on RUclips videos ballistic testing shots into ballistic gel; it preform quite well.

That pmc shoots 3-4moa out of my rifles. I’ve got a 12.5” 14.5” and a 20” all 1-7 twist I’ve settled on the 5.56 hornady frontier 68gn and 75gn BTHP glad I ordered a good bit back in May at 10.99$ a box because now if you can even find it it’s 20$ a box. Crazy this stuff at the price he paid is what fmj ammo is going for now lol

This ammo is EXTREMELY accurate and is the MOST devastating .223 I have used so far for my N. GA big ol' coyotes all the way from 10 yards and out to 218yds away (so far anyway). It seriously drops them D.R.T.
Just like when an ACME INC. Safe is dropped onto the back of the head.
So far, after #31 coyotes & #1 Bob the Cat this year...
I haven't had any coyote needing or receiving a
    ROUND #2.... all were absolutely, positively, 100%completely D.R.T. w/ 20" barrel AR-15 with just
    ONE PRECISE SHOT 62gr .223

Frangible vs nosler varmint rounds? To me i prefer noslers cause the round dumps energy fast. Little over penitration but not as bad as frangible. Some think you won't stop someone with them but if you are taught to shoot til your threat is gone. Getting shot is getting shot doesn't matter if it's once or fifteen, the point gets across.

Truth in that, Hornady's Critical Defense Rifle that I did videos on (both the 55gr and 73gr), behaved a lot like their Varmit Express. The Critical Defense Rifle in .308, was WAY different though. Also did a vid on that. All three other videos, were tested exactly the same for comparison. Thanks for the comment! TGS

Absolutely, just make sure your state allows for it, me in WA it’s actually illegal to hunt big game with anything smaller than .24 cal, so it’s illegal to hunt deer with 223 here, but within 100 yards 223 is a devastating round and can definitely take a deer
