"Just get a 100% scholar" MATE, I found only 3 100% people in the entirety of playing the game and none of them a scholar. You say it like they are a dime a dozend. That really isn't helpful.
Right? I also feel like keeping prisoners is gonna be super tedious and difficult. But then, i'm still on my first playthrough so idk.
I'm not sure I can trust someone who uses P as a hotkey for a combat ability.
All you do is get 100% scholar blood! Oh... why didn't I think of that!!!... highest I've seen in the game is 25...
i havent even seen a scholar yet xD and how du i get them to base? i mean like is it a slave that i can keep sucking blood from or what is the deal with that?
i also haven't seen a scholar yet i'm at gear lvl 49. i did see pretty high % blood tho. i think i saw a regular footsoldier at 70% and a brute for 100%. they were all in the general area where you first enter the new northern area with villages and farms. i forget what it's called. anyway i think blood % is just luck. but it's kinda part of the fun of the game to have a prison cell/servant coffin at the ready so if you come across a high quality blood carrier just kill everyone else around them and use vampire kiss.
@@wiawaysb If you've taken on Christine a few times, you'll find scholars in areas she roams at within the northern village and farms, yeah. I also am under the theory that different areas have different % for certain bloods, as I've noticed. I namely find Scholars by churches, one specific one just a bit northwest of the first waygate on the right side of the map leading into the villages.
THANK YOU so many guides out there are just like "oh it's so easy just git gud" but you actually had good info on what to do, how to do it, and why.

I just killed him with a green crossbow and chaos volley with the double dash. Just shoot until he gets close then dash twice the direction he came from. Rinse and repeat. I did it with deer blood

I don't know how your blocking his attacks. I can't even find that option. Your screen says free cast when you do it. And there's nothing on the game about it. I'm playing the 2024 version and I can't get him more than halfway down on health. Been trying to beat him for 2 real time days now. And nothing works. Someone needs to upload a newer video on this.

RNG is the worst.
@@Firespark81 I just got my 100% pure blood scholar after 2 days... only to have it nerfed. I'm a little disappointed
I went through the fight so easily but got too cocky and in the end he killed me at one hit
Surprised you didn't drink a spell brew potion as well for the extra damage but I guess it wasn't necessary.

Wouldna crossbow allow more dps if the play is keeping a distance?
Either this video has aged badly or it's done by someone level 80+ trying to "downgrade" to the fight level and getting it wrong. Don't have most of the spells unlocked since they are all from higher level than Tristan bosses, Never got the full armor unlocked as it simply never dropped as a book or gave me those as RNG unlocks.
The prison stuff requires to kill two harder than Tristan bosses, so again seems like a higher level "forgetting" that they can't just bat around everywhere and farming 100% blood is not easy when you can barely survive the enemies.
Iron weapons is not too hard a step (If you use the Net to learn about where to gather iron) and the boss to unlock the next tier armor is a civilian so she doesn't fight, so you can get to 50+ power level with a bit of "easy" farming.
Well hang on. I am on this boss right now and all of the things they want you to bring to this fight are in fact in the very area for Tristan. As Tristan is a level 46 boss, his primary target should be when you start heading into the human settlements as the boss Beatrice two bosses before this guy ONLY lives there and is required for the hollowfang+iron gear that sets you at this boss' level. And the spells required are also from bosses before this boss in lower level areas as well. He's actually taking the boss on with stuff at a point you can get BEFORE you face him entirely, unless you're strictly paying attention to the gear set which is a "Downgrade" from what is mentioned. But no, by the time you are meant to take him on, the prior bosses in level have all of the things required to face him in this video.

While Beatrice is a civilian, she does fight back in higher difficulty, caught me by surprise. Still pretty easy though.
well that were 7 useless minutes... You can beat Tristan easily at level 30 with a crossbow and full chaos set. The double dash always keeps you at distance (only necessary when he bombs or jumps, all other attacks you can literally just walk away) and then you just look for a bigger rock or tree and keep kiting him in circles around it, timing your chaos bolts and rift spell to keep the burn tick on him. While the spells are on cooldown, use your crossbow Q or 1-2 auto attacks and keep running in circles around the rock. Only time you actually need to do change that strategy slightly is when he uses his bomb. So best have an area with 2 separate kiting circles around some solid object.

I stream every Monday on YT, currently playing Grounded with Wak. I'm on Twitch every Friday playing whatever I feel like. It's kinda the new Free-Form Friday over there. As for videos on the day to day I never really know. It fluid. I will most likely cover whatever the next new hotness is. Valheim if it ever updates. V Rising as it updates. Elden Ring dlc when it comes out.

I still need to learn how to dance LOL.. I ended up doing ring - around - the - Rocks to kill him and I was a few levels above him. I will say your tip to change Camera Move keybind to the middle mouse button has made me LESS terrible at combat lol.. I move the camera less and do not loose track of my cursor as much. I still suck.. but I suck less.. 🤪
The first time I fought him it took me and V both to kill him and each of us dying many times. Going back studying him and using this build I can't believe how badly he kicked our butts lol

Just get 100 blood, and have iron weapons which you wont have if you fight him at level.
Why did you choose Frost Dash and not Chaos?
Shield is nice. If you get lit on fire it also eats the damage.
I don’t really find it realistic to make a guide where you need 100% scholar in mid game. Usually people rushing servers are in iron in less then 2h and they will do tristan soon after. It’s extremely lucky to find a 100% scholar by that time.
Like I said you don't have to have it. It just makes the fight way easier. Also people rushing servers being in iron less that 2h is a pvp thing. PVE is not like that. Also also yes 100% is rare but at 60 - 90 is not that hard to find.

I get paid tomorrow, was thinking about getting this as had been watching it for ages before release. I don't fancy having to do stuff in multiplayer though, I really would like to solo as much as possible. I keep hearing that some bosses are impossible to solo because you can't grind to become stronger, str is linked to gear and gear can be locked behind said bosses.
I can't seem to get a solid idea of what to expect. I do really want to play it though.
I'm soloing exclusively. I'm up to 50 gear level (just got it now). Some gear is boss locked, but you can solo them (so far that's what I've experienced). Once you learn the flow of combat, in general, then you can start on boss fighting. I struggle finding that flow in a lot of games. I find it very fluid in this game. It clicked with me quickly, and I can usually take much higher regulars. Even skull ones. You unlock some more weapon types when you get iron, and I LOVE combat with the scythe. I used spear in copper stage. Some bosses I took when they were higher level. This guy I was struggling with for some reason, but I didn't even think of getting a scholar in jail.

Thanks for the info. I do like ARPG's and played a lot of PoE, so should hopefully click for me relatively quickly.
Also, if you are soloing in a solo offline game (versus just playing solo on a someone else's multiplayer server) you can change a bunch of the settings to make it as hard or as easy as you would like. You can leave everything default if you want that experience, but you can also dial down either the damage or health (or both) for the bosses - or for everything - there are a ton of settings that you can play with when you are setting up your game to get the difficulty that you enjoy.
I play exclusively solo, I rolled a new account and put the settings on the V Bosses to .8, you can go through the settings and set the game in great detail... I love that you can do that
I've soloed the entire game on standard settings in a PvE server and now have everything unlockedand a max gear score. It's absolutely challenging, but doable.
You gotta get good vs boss mechanics. That's all. You can complete everything in the game pretty underleved if you're decent.
