Another way you can fight him on foot is to find two good areas with large trees or rocks and then run and dash around them, then use the crossbow to fire a volley into the air and hit him from a distance. If you've beaten Goreswine, you can use their corpse explosion as well. Any long ranged AoE style attack you have will work. Just wait for him to poke his head out then aim the attack right ahead of him a little bit, then dash away and keep running. It takes awhile to do, but it works. You just want to make sure you have a good escape route for when he uses the fire bombs. Basically, this strat makes him hitting you 10x harder, as it puts a bit of environment between you and him. It's great if you're awful at dodging his attacks like me.
@@realWorsin One thing to keep in mind though, is that if you don't find a good sturdy rock or tree, like the indestructible ones, he will absolutely cut his way through them to get to you. And what he doesn't cut down will be burned up and knocked down when he uses the fire bombs. Just some food for thought.
I used the jousting technique on him. I was one hit from dying thanks to his bombs, night was almost over, he ran back to the road twice, and some dealer guy came and joined in at the end. It was hard fought but eventually I got him💪
I killed this guy but I didn't see any difficult boss ever until now like this. Unlike you I used ruby pendant to increase my spell power with these cloth set and iron sword. He killed me five times and before this seven times. Even Leandra and Meredith more easy than Tristan. I hate this boss to death.
Thanks. Great tips. What worked for me was the Horse + good fighting area away from road + Spear for jousting him. He literally can't do anything against you when your on a horse and you DONT run into things and get stuck. 2 attempts and he was dead. Great video! Thanks! V rising is blowing up. Great game.
he just keep despawning for me when I try it on the horse, I've made sure to not pull him too far and just going in a circle, but he always just resets. guess I'll have to try on foot.
could be they secretly patched it, its mostly a fast patch coming up for cheesing in this game, same as some pvp cheese things they instandly patched without communication, just try to learn his kit and dodge his attacks with the right dashes and movements after some tries its not that hard jsut make sure to lure him into a nature area away from the path then you got it

This. Kiting around a large rock using it to LOS him makes short work of this fight. You can do this with pretty much every boss that roams around.

I managed to tag team him with a stone golem and beat him pretty easy by just hiding behind it
