    Man, I think this is the first time of me watching your video, but you get all of my respect for this point of view. I've always hated the approach that you have to play this specific way, or use that specific build. Hell, I'll even consciously use a suboptimal build just because I consider it fun to play. Good to see there are others with this mindset

      Absolutely dude! You bought your game, you paid your money, you play how you want. Fuck off other online content that DEMANDS you play one way. That's terrorism, and I don't negotiate with terrorists!

      That is exactly how all games should be approached unless the goal is to compete at the highest level.

    With patrolling bosses, while pulling them to areas that you won't be interupted by their allies is good, having a 3rd party hostile can actually help. Simon Belmont accidentally hit Bane the Shadowblade and gave me a few chances to do damage without him reaponding.

      For patrol bosses, there's a better way to deal with them. Pull them "into" your castle and let your servants do the job. If your servants have the same gear level (or at least near) as the boss, they don't die easy and hit hard on those bosses. I'm doing a solo brutal run on private server and have a small second castle full of servants and only for this use. You can even relocate it to the new place to fit the boss's patrol route.

      If you have any boss spawn and bane is by it's a free win
      while hunting bane jade showed up and he COOKED her despite the power difference, just gotta be careful when he spawn the underlings they will aggro anyone they see even if another vblood caused them to spawn)

    My first time in the iron mines I stumbled into those two fighting and somehow got credit on killing both of them. That did wonders in clearing up my deadlock in the first tier bosses lol. Excellent guide. Mostly things I’ve been figuring out the hard way and wish I’d watched this sooner.

    Good example is the shockwave attack from henry. Double dash from veil of chaos, greatsword Q and pistols E in reverse gives you a tonne of mobility to stay away from the edge. I appreciate your content its made me a more diverse player and im throughly enjoying the void wolf combo right now

    Solid video with a lot of great tips!
    I killed brutal Dracula with only using 1 weapon, the Greatsword, 3 Dracula armor pieces and no soul shard.
    Both the E and the Q ability is extremely good for avoiding things bosses do if used well.
    And if used well enough u can do dmg with them at the same time especially the Greatsword E, which essentially acts as an I-frame during your characters leap up into the air.
    Sometjing i wish they added in V Rising is some in-game encyclopedia for various stuff like blood types, mobs and what buffs the blood type has or which mobs you could potentially get it from or what region etc.

    There is also the altar of stygian awakening where you get a lot of nice passive buffs like 10% extra dmg to V bloods.I only realised this thing was in the game at near the end of act 4 playing on brutal and apparently you get that way earlier.

  • @tyverus89

    what I see extremely often is that people struggle against bosses with channelled abilities; Christina in Act II has two channelled abilities; a counter and a heal, and I see people fighting her with copper weapons, not realising they get a second weapon skill at iron. I guess it boils down to understanding your chosen weapon and it's abilities - now, as far as I know, the counter can't be interrupted (just don't attack her) but her heal CAN and you should 100% be interrupting it.

    Good video... But if you see a 99% blood, you don't bite them! They must be captured and then if you feel lucky, fed the mutant stuff to raise to 100% (or turn them into a mutant - 35% chance).

    If it helps others
    I used to play in alpha and I saw the game was in 1.0 last week, I'm on day 4 and nearly at Dracula, just beat winged horror today. Been loving my scythe still but with death knight and wolf to remove aggro from me (there's a few bosses where if patient you could likely kill the boss with just death knight) sometimes I get lucky and the wolfs perk procs on death knight and now I have 2 death knights that will turn into 2 bone mages. Scythe can slow mobs and knock them away for breathing room also. Just swapped off nerco dash for phantom dashes to weave in and out on the scythe q and because getting in to spawn a skeleton was getting me killed in the (forgot the name but the guy that roams Dracula's demise)
    Swap offs for me are the necro shield and death knight for him and chaos barrage ult, normal ult is the dash lighting move to get in and aim for a safe area to get out and respawn my death knight to take aggro again.
    Not sure if anyone else is a scythe fan but that plus a mini necromancer build has made all the bosses a breeze but that one (died 4 times all to the great sword using mob, always clear the battle field if the boss only roams one small area and at least for me if there is cover play the cover like no tomorrow I rather the boulder take the hits and not me or my skelly boys)

    Can you do a video of tips on using pistol? I hear it's amazing but it's slow to me. Unfortunately tough for me to use bows too

    • @Qu4resma
      @Qu4resma Месяц назад +1

      What you want to do is not necessarily use the left click shots to do damage, the greatest asset of the pistols are the E skill, because it moves you and makes you invulnerable while doing the little leap. Use that E to dodge important attacks, and use the Q for heavy damage when your safe, and the regular left click attacks just for poking and prodding and applying your dash bonus damage attack. Hope that helps o/

      @Qu4resma thanks. Yeah that helps. I was using reaper mostly, got my first orange in form of mace which I'm loving now but pistol will help for sure with that roll

    Are pvp servers pvp everywhere anytime? Or just specific locations? And also, do you loose everything when you die and you need to craft it/find it again? Talking about legendary weapons, jewels and super rare stuff that’s hard to get. If you can loose it so easily I think I’ll definitely go PvE

    • @Jeremy_Walker
      @Jeremy_Walker Месяц назад +1

      PVP is PvP everywhere. There are also scheduled times your castle can be raided. You lose most your inventory not weapons or armor or equipped jewels.

    For those of you at mid/early-late game...
    A fast hitting weapon (blue or higher) that applies weaken
    Spectral Wolf with extra stacks gem
    Ball lightning with any good gem
    Golem ult (underrated, gives a shield every 1.5 seconds)
    Any dash
    If you have a friend running necro, the Golem Ult gives a shield to EVERY skeleton!
    Skele/Golem ult combo is crazy fun, and it looks like you are sitting in a giant bubble bath sometimes, lol.
    You can pretty much just stack and sit. And the phantasm procs means ball lighting is nearly always up.
    This isn't amazing for every boss, but it melts certain bosses so fast you won't even believe it.
    My buddy made me fight the same boss twice because he couldn't believe his eyes lol.

    I think my brain is slow, idk why counter ability is so hard for me especially the timing

    • @DODUCKA
      @DODUCKA 19 дней назад +1

      it takes a moment to start the counter, it's not instant - definitely takes some getting used to, and it doesn't block aoe attacks from enemies and bosses, sometimes it's hard to tell whats an aoe effect and what's just a wide hit. Definitely not necessary to use a counter, I tend to only use them when I'm struggling and need to change something up

    • @andatoren4768

      @@DODUCKA Thanks for the tips, although ive been playing for the last month and managed to get to Adam by not using counters, i personally really enjoyed 'barier type effect' like Ward of the damned and used those instead of counters :D

    The one mechanic I don't like on many bosses is that they just simply call more adds the more people are attacking him. Speciifcally with bosses that are in their own confined arenas, this can become unmanagble. So what we often do is have one member of the party do the fight while the others hang back und then all just draw the V blood. Kinda lame, I know, but we have found that this mechanic is also kind of lame. Maerwyn the Elementalist is a prime example for this - she spawns an extra clone for every party member, and doubles down on the projectiles and stuff. And this in an arena where it's hard to dodge the attacks because so much is going on. It's almost as if the devs want you take on the boss 1v1 and discourage group play.
