@@VehicleVirals You could look into the 550i, the n63tu has a lot of the n63 issues fixed and with xdrive it gives you more traction than the M5. They're very similar engines.

@@Zolani__ honestly it's costly to maintain and run, I have 176km on the clock and it's been mostly reliable, small things do occur if you live in cold climates like me (Canada) but nothing that will break the bank, injector and brake replacement is mega expensive even in a diy, and the tires go out really fast and they are pricey(i run cup 2 rears 305), but overall it's pretty reliable and won't let you down if you keep on top of things, I had many bmws and the m5 has been so far one of the best.
I must say those new awd m5 are more safer. Maybe you should get one ‼️ a lot more road friendly and sometimes those thoughts make you crash

smart move. if you sold your scat pack at the top of the hype/pandemic you prob got a good deal for it lol. almost everyone that sold their mopars at the right time made money on it

Because of you i got my e39 523i because of the top 10 most reliable bmw engines and cars videos you made and after that when you got the f10 m5 and i have been craving to get one
I have an F10 M5 with 120k miles, zero issues. There's a handful of examples I've seen that have close to 200k on OG motor. Just spoke to somebody the other day with 160k on a frozen individual spec. You'd think they'd be a lot more unreliable but no.
Same here, 115k and no issues. Love this car.
Never changed the rod bearings? I've been back and forth on picking one up, but figured it was safe to throw rod bearings in right after purchase.
@@RAM_C5 I've had a few, and zero rod bearing issues. The likelihood of rod bearing failure is very slim, especially if you find a facelift car. The 2011's and some 2012's had oil pump issues, hence rod bearing failure. Get a facelift model with maintenance history (oil changes every 5k or less, 10,000 is excessive for any car). And you'll be trouble free.

Btw how often do u change oil for M5 E60, and rod berings. Anything else that needs to be addresed other than that and regular maintnance?

I made sure to have my alignment perfect on my rear wheels and when it spins it goes perfectly in a striaght line its awesome

I completely understand. My F10 M5 is completely stock and my daily. No plans to mod it, maybe an exhaust in the future. My 360 is my toy. I think people that buy M5s are more reserved and older than those that get M2/3/4s. Thanks for the all the content while you were at it!. That pure metal silver is a beautiful color.

Next car suggestion:
-E9x M3 with a ESS supercharger. It's a timeless unicorn.
-E92 gen 1 N55. OEM+ budget build give away car. Show us how to shop, maintenance 1st, proper DIY tools, and build reliable power. All in $15k. Maybe do a comparison between have all the money upfront, saving the money based on a $60k yrly income, and using credit for everything.
-SUV🤔 . For the people with a family that needs more room than a sedan.
-G80, follow the trend. To close to the M2.

The F10 M5 is a severely underrated car. I was thrashing my old car after work just to blow off steam and have fun. An F10 M5 shot past me and left me standing. An E90 330d when it's tuned is a monster but an F10 M5 is a different beast overall. Would love to own one. Either that or the F80 M3. To me the M3 & M5 are the ultimate driving machines.

Love your channel and I'm also a huge f10 m5 fan I gotta say that yours with the carbon-fiber mods and those sick rims looked completely stunning, such a beauty. But I completely understand your concern and you know in life you need to adapt to move forward for better and in this case you sell that gorgeous car and keep going. Keep it up and now I know what exhaust I'm going to install on my f10 m5 in the near future.

I test drove a m6 grand coupe and it was awesome! Amazing brakes, plenty of power. It did lack exhaust sound. Unfortunately turbos do take away alot of exhaust sound. Nothing will beat that v10!

How about an E82/E88. You already have plenty of options on you site for mods. Maybe tune it up for turning/track use vice pure power.

Don't think that's the case with this one because of how rare it is. Plus depreciation is the last thing on my mind when I purchase and own these cars.

It's a cool car but sometimes the fun ones are the cars us regular guys can afford and toy with..... there are only some many folks that can afford an m5 like that.... and I would say 75% of them aren't out here shade tree wrenching on them installing mods and thrashing on then. Of the frozen m5 this one hurts. I completely understand what you’re saying about the market for parts on these cars. I’ve been saying it for a while. M tax is still very real for these cars and not many options on aftermarket parts. Frozen solid m5 in the comments helped me with my m5.
I just finished rebuilding my m5 after a no traction full pull on the rain and smack a curb at 60. These cars do not like to stay in a straight line lol.

Bro imo its just better to get clapped out cars, with issues and bring it back to life instead of getting a special edition car and not be able to do much. I dont know the difference in profit between the two but to me is more entertaining do more in a not very well kept car than do little on a rare car

all the money in selling parts is in n54, n55, and b58 content since we basically don't give a dayum about staying OEM and buy parts like crazy and so many cars are out there compared to something like an f10. That's why there's a TON of builds and content on these platforms. As sad as it to se this car go, but I get it.

i have owned the F10 M5 & E60 M5. the E60 M5 was far more reliable than my current F10. thinking about going back ngl. gonna see if i can just do simple upgrades & fix the reliability issue but if not it’s going to go. thinking about going GTR anyway.
An f10 seems like a great car to keep near stock and drive on the weekends. I will have one of these in my garage one day for sure, large part due to your videos. Gotta move on i get it, thanks for this content…..some ideas for the next build OG M2, z4, f80 m3/m4.

cold intake type like yours - the easiest way to kill your turbos and engine as well, the only right solution is to put BMC filter in oem plenum
Doesn’t make sense still if you love it keep the car and get a new car to create content. Guys have multiple cars. It sounds like you can make it work if it bothers that much. You will still continue to sell the M5 upgrades? I’m closing on a 2014 M5 soon lol
i think an e39 would be cool. youve had an e46, have an e90, have an e60, have an f30 and youve just had an f10. but an e39 would be something new. either that or a diesel could be cool. like imagine you had an e90 335i but also a 335d too.
