@@DaisyChain-w4b Indy hasn’t been the same in years. Riders jumping ship for Ace wasn’t too surprising. Thunder is still solid unless you’re grinding a lot of concrete. Venture is big right now.
Man Skate Warehouse ain't no joke. I ordered on Wednesday and had my board by friday evening. I ordered a salba board trucks everything, and they nailed it down man super super helpful when you can't figure out what fits good as well, etc
I run risers on all my set ups with indie stage 11 standards. I used to hate using risers when i was younger typically sprung for lows. Now i cant get enough of the added leverage when i pop and still have a super carvey ride. I guess techincally they are extra high with risers.
If they ride like indys but grind like A MOFO the way thunders to metal to metal they have my attention. Ventures of course have that softer aluminum that needs more speed on crusty crete...and also die faster in the slappy arena. So If these have that BRUTE indy/hanger lifecycle but offer a splash of "new" feel on an old looking hanger/plate etc. As someone that likes to quiver up and ride anything they definitely have OUR attention. I trust mike and the fact hes trying to put something out and put skaters "ON" its nice to see forsure. For me most trucks i test with a cross hanger crook lock/test clearance is what it is nothing to cry about truck to truck you adapt. Some go to tricks in transition to test responsiveness, and some fat airs to see how they handle wall to wall speed/lines. How they grind on concrete coping and metal to metal. Then the last test the impossible/bigspin/360 shove it "pocket" run section of the board to test how the trucks/geometry response to those specific tricks.
i did it on my aces cause the bottom back washer busted out so i pulled the front out. rides good but my bottom bushings died and started cracking. i am a bit heavier so that may be why. but thats been my experience.
Depends on how you ride and how aggressive you lean and if you use your upper body to lean or mostly turn/carve with your hips/legs and use your feet more to turn. I started riding no bottom when i rode bones bushings and a little when i tried stage XI for the first time but then got over the cylinder bushing and started riding indy coniclas w/ washers vs the bones bc they were expensive and blow out often. If your comfortable with your setup/s and buying bushings on occasion its worth trying or if you have a collection of broken in bushings already...it doesnt hurt to try. Though from the shop/indy rep they recommended i ran washers and they hooked my old stage IX/X setups with a lil plastic bag of pivot cups/bushings/washers. Just depends NGL thunder 149s...bones no bottom washer or top. Ventures i run stock and have some with bones no washers only the bones lil washer up top. Generally i dont like thunders with bottom washers W dlx or bones bushings.
As a skater I’m gonna always love skateboarding no matter what but the way things are going these days especially with trucks it’s like everyone trying to rip off indys lol and now they ripping off aces already 😂 for all that you can just buy some ace trucks and do slappys with them 😂 y’all don’t need these trucks
They almost look like a cross between indies and thunder with their styling. They’ll make a great alternative for indies ever since they went soft and ditched their legendary branding.
Yah for sure. Before checking the feel and durability and build quality on any truck, FIRST and MOST IMPORTANT is that theres no WEAK MEN in that company. God, I wish Musk would start making trucks.

Love how a truck review opens with a boardslide :)
Definitely has the mash-up of a Thunder and Independent with a strong dash of Ace.
Soooo just stick w my Indy’s? Lol thanks

do they make a low truck for a 8.25?
Ive been trying to find a low truck for months for that exact size. Lowest i could find were mini logo, tensor and enuff trucks
@@pneuma6421 Thunder 147 and 148 work on an 8.25. They’re still lower than most, if not all, high trucks out there.
Anyone got the specs on them? How tall are they?
@Dr Rhomboid Goatcabin Thanks for sharing. Now I know what wheels to pair with it. Appreciate the help.
What height they chillin at?
Got it from the source himself, 53mm but supposedly they actually run kinda tall like a standard Indy at 55mm feeling
53.9mm
My next trucks are going ro be slappys, just got to save the bank...
What brand and size wheels are on your set up?
56mm Spitfire Conical Full's! www.skatewarehouse.com/Spitfire_Formula_Four_Conical_Full_99a_Wheels/descpage-SFC9FWH.html
