Yo, I just found you today and I'm new to camera's, lenses, equipment and editing. I always had a videographer to film and shoot for me. The last 2 years hit and I lost that person. So, I decided to get a Canon m50 a few weeks ago and quickly became overwhelmed learning it all. Your video's are full of great content and make this process a lot easier!
This video was surprising to me! The EOS R was still clearly the superior in this case, but for the price differences, it definitely seem worth having the M50 over the EOS R. That is, if you're on a tight budget.
Just love watching your videos man! Please, dont stop making youtube videos.
Would love to see a comparison of the M50 vs the EOS RP - those two are more realistic options when an amateur is shopping and trying to decide if they should spend the extra $500 or not
great tutorial. I now like my M50 even more. I have it now for almost a year and I still think it's the best 'value for money' for my needs.
Yeah I love mine!!! I just got a softbox and Godax S60. Man, the A Roll in my newest video looks so much better. My buddy leant me his 50mm EFS so I bought the adapter, but it turns a 50mm into an 80mm. If I get the speed booster does it surve the adapter from EFS to EOS-M?

Glad to see this guy has solid subs and views. Hope he gets to 1 mill because 99.9% of what's on this website is trash, and this dude just nailed everything. Informative, humor to keep people engaged, production quality, a TON of extra time put in he didn't need to all to make a more engaging video, as well as clean and clear titling.

That price difference is certainly a killer, $500 vs $23ish is pretty huge in my books

I was just trying to watch reviews on the Canon M50 so that I know that for a lower budget it will be the best decision. It worked so close to the EOS R that I really feel like this is going to be the best for me.

i'm confused. i have a Canon EOS M50 + EF-M 15-45mm f3.5-6.3 IS STM. That was the package i bought. I assume the lens is the standard KIT lens. Now i bought the speedbooster Viltrox Mount Adapter EF-EOS M2 0.71x but they don't match. What's wrong?

That's probably the sharpest 1080p I've ever seen it must upscale incredibly well to 4k, great job as always Mr Potato Jet.

when the EOS R was launched, it basically pissed on the M50 from a rather great height. full-frame vs APSC, wider selection of lenses, etc.
my videography channel is only starting to get ramped up, but it's nice to know that there's some options for full-frame lenses to make up for the DISASTER of a lack of a range that the Canon M series has.

Awesome review between M50 and EOS R. Just got the speed booster and this was exactly what I wanted to try out. BTW, your editing is superb.
I honestly don't see the point of people wanting to film in 4K unless it's a larger production. The M50 is great for the price compared to other models. 1080p60 is, and will be great for quite a while!
I have seen used eos r for $800 now that the r5 and r6 are out.. but still tempting to just get my m50 a speedbooster. still watching this video in 2020 cause its still such a useful video :)
