- Gunnar Deatherage presented his FW18 collection at a stunning venue presented by Fashion X Dallas. Under a festoon light canopy, the collection titled "Gunn" walked the runway. The collection was inspired by the underground punk culture of the 80's, mixed with some new age modern sleek elements. The collection was a collection close to home for Gunnar, and was a solid representation of his personal style.

I just watched his line in Houston and recently ran across his channel. Every one of his works are so absolutely marvelous. Then i looked at some recent red carpet videos, I'm not an expert on high fashion and there are some to die for but it's as if fabric is the focal point and the designs are repetitious. I once worked in an amazing boutique when I was young in the early 80s. I was able to experience the feel of wearing fashion not fad. It's out of this world. When the movie Devil Wears Prada came out it thrilled me so I watched it 3 times in 2 days. This is how this magnificent man makes me feel when I see his designs. I want.
I love The Devil Wears Prada! I watch it every weekend while sewing.
Honestly tho, Gunnar’s style is just so gorgeous and even tho I’m also not an expert, there really is some outfits to die for.

If I were a young professional, many of these outfits I would have and wear consistently. Now that I'm near retirement and not in a job where fashion matters, I can only dream for what could have been.

I know this is a basic bitch suggestion. And Jayne Mansfield was your basic Beautiful Intelligent Talented Charming Hussy. A 3/4 sleeved princess seamed midi dress in neutral shades like camel, navy, caramel, and expresso that people could order from your collection in matte jersey and/or velvet. We called these "accessory dresses" in the 80's. Maybe a scoop or sweetheart neckline. Thanx!
